Jun 30, 2020 Ben Swann takes a look at the highly unusual timeline by which Moderna Therapeutics is developing its C0-vId 19 virus vaccine. Now, 4 scientists with the NIH claim they hold partial patent rights on that vaccine and stand to make up to $150,000 per year. Meanwhile, as Moderna's stock price continues to soar, 5 top executives have sold off $89 million dollars worth of shares, even as the company continues to bypass standard vaccine protocols in the development of its C0-vId v@ccine

Yeah but most the time its your word against theirs and if you cant prove malfeasance without a reasonable doubt you are $#@!ed. The burden of proof is always on the citizen. Lots of police i am sure are good people but they arent the best people. The unions make sure good cops cant get paid more because they will always make more money with more bad cops than fewer quality cops. 2) There are people who support BLM the concept without supporting BLM the organisation.

Ummmm...DID YOU READ YOUR OWN THREAD TITLE? It says DEFUND ALL NORTH AMERICAN POLICE BY 50%! You know what that means? It doesn't mean "no law enforcers." Goodness! What has happened to the forum IQ?

July 1, 2020 While they are cooking the books on "new cases" by ramping up testing and even double-testing, half the population of the US is living in states that are actually returning to some form of shut down. The Houston hospital capacity lie has pushed Texas back into shutdown. And no one is noticing that deaths and death rates continue to decrease. Is this pandemic becoming just about politics? http://www.ronpaullibertyreport.com/

June 30, 2020 We cannot go back to the pre-coronavirus world, they tell us. Everything has changed and we must accept a "new normal." What does this "new normal" look like? It looks a lot like a dystopian horror film, where privacy is destroyed, property is subject to political whim, surveillance is to be accepted, medical treatments can be forced on people. Should we accept totalitarianism as our "new normal"? Plus in today's program: the real story of Houston's "round two hospital crisis." http://www.ronpaullibertyreport.com/

By Tom Woods July 1, 2020 The conversation about the future of the police shifted dramatically after the death of George Floyd on May 25. At first most people doubtless assumed that activists would demand a series of reforms to American police departments. And yet before we knew it, the call to “defund the police” was being heard everywhere. So far, though, calls to defund the police have been fraught with confusion. On social media, curious observers have wondered how people will acquire security services in the absence of police. In response, many defenders of the “defund the police” cause have impatiently lectured them (“do your research!”), explaining that of course defunding the police doesn’t mean reducing their budget to zero. “Defund the police” means the police will be funded, but we’ll just rethink the way they operate.

One extreme is giving a cop the death penalty on what was admittedly a close call. (Though the arrest itself was questionable). The other extreme is allowing cops qualified immunity FOR STEALING! We're not talking about Ron Paul "taxation is theft" stealing. We're talking about cops executing a warrant in your home (and the warrant might be invalid), seeing something they like and just straight up gangsta STEALING it! That...that's what you're defending.

Code Pink is Marxist and is against the Iraq war. Using your logic the Iraq war is a good thing and we should stay there indefinitely. Rand Paul back in 2014 was talking about defunding the police. The police don't need armored personnell carriers to do their job. You aren't thinking clearly about this. Braun should back it. Rand should back Braun's bill. (I bet he already is.) People who support liberty should back both bills. Tyranny has already jumped in. Tyranny = qualified immunity. Tyranny = the police stealing your rare coins and getting away with it because of qualified immunity. You aren't thinking this through.

When a police officer kneels on someone's neck for over 8 minutes until he dies and that person is lying face down in handcuffs that officer should be sued. When an officer goes into a house with a no knock warrant and blindly fires 10 times killing an innocent EMT who's been working overtime taking care of COVID-19 patients he deserves to be sued as well as the person who agreed to the warrant in the first place when the people they were looking for were already in custody and that was the wrong house. One day your civil rights may be violated and you will unable to sue the person who violated them due to qualified immunity then you might wake up and smell the tyranny. BLM isn't wrong on this one.

Do police need armored personal carriers? Rand Paul thinks the answer to that is NO! Remove the military style hardware and all of the training required to use it that that's a major cut in the police budget. This isn't "copsuckers united forums". It's the Ron and Rand Paul forums.

https://reason.com/2020/06/26/tucker-carlson-qualified-immunity-fox-news/ Tucker Carlson Might Want To End Qualified Immunity If He Actually Knew What It Was The Fox News host says reforming qualified immunity would "end law enforcement." That's not even close to being true. BILLY BINION | 6.26.2020 3:16 PM Screen Shot 2020-06-26 at 3.07.45 PM (YouTube) Last night Fox News host Tucker Carlson vigorously defended qualified immunity, the doctrine that allows public officials to avoid federal civil rights lawsuits if the way they violated your rights has not been outlined with exacting detail in previous case law. Carlson offered an alternative definition for his viewers. "Qualified immunity means that cops can't be personally sued when they accidentally violate people's rights while conducting their duties," he said. "They can be sued personally when they do it intentionally, and they often are."

WTF? Tucker is the one being a neocon here. Cops shouldn't have a license to abuse you without civil liability. There's nothing "libertarian" about qualified immunity.

June 25, 2020 Historically, society has deemed pastors and physicians two of its most sacred callings. Pastors watched over our souls, while physicians watched over our bodies. The duties of each office were both respected and protected in our nation’s most important documents and doctrines. But in about four months, our federal government has turned both professions from that of protector to that of predator. The so-called coronavirus pandemic has totally changed the spiritual, emotional, psychological, philosophical and medical soul of America. The entire country has turned against itself. No one trusts anyone. Everyone they meet, whether in a grocery store, drug store, restaurant, gas station, department store or even church, is viewed as a threat. Masks, social distancing and home isolation are all considered the “new normal.” Tens of thousands of pastors are yet today forbidding their congregants from assembling together for worship. And tens of thousands of physicians are still largely out of reach from their patients. Many physicians have been on vacation for months. Hospitals are still refusing to see patients. Surgeries have been postponed. Cancer victims are not being treated. People with heart disease are not being treated. Gallbladder disease is not being treated. Meanwhile, our hospitals are as EMPTY as our churches.

You just don't get it. It has nothing to do with being conservative, pro-life or pro-liberty for that matter. All that matters is "R". If "R" wins, it is better than "D", even when "R" is a self-admitted life-long NY Lib. Centuries of team sports should have clued you in. As long as one team wins within the organization, that is all that matters. They could experience 'fool me 52.0', and it still wouldn't matter. Plus, you must sacrifice liberty in order to preserve it. Members of this forum have said so.

June 26, 2020 The great Frederic Bastiat said that "Trade barriers constitute isolation; isolation gives rise to hatred, hatred to war..." This is the path that should be avoided. If America is unattractive to entrepreneurs, and is falling behind competitively because it is saddled with the biggest government on earth, perhaps the focus should be setting the American entrepreneur free from the bureaucracy. For obvious reasons, American politicians do not want to decrease their power. They would much rather point the finger outwards. http://www.ronpaullibertyreport.com/

I'm done. You made a provably false claim that the solutions being proposed would expand the state. You now want to talk about what might be proposed in the future. That's a different conversation.
