When I heard the phrase from Trump, I thought it sounded kinda ominous though . . . sorta like "I am starting World War III so, . . . God, bless the world" ‘God Bless America’ In Presidential Speeches Has A Little-Known, Uncomfortable Beginning Richard Nixon dropped the phrase in attempting damage control on April 30, 1973 . . . “Tonight, I ask for your prayers to help me in everything I do throughout the days of my presidency,” Richard Nixon said. “God bless America and God bless each and every one of you.”

"Centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right leader Marine Le Pen are set to face each other in a May 7 runoff for the French presidency after coming first and second in Sunday's first round of voting, early projections have indicated. In a race that was too close to call up to the last minute, Mr Macron, a pro-European Union ex-banker and economy minister who founded his own party only a year ago, was projected to get 24 percent. Ms Le Pen, leader of the anti-immigration and anti-EU National Front, was given 22 percent by early pollsters." Pollster Harris gave both Mr Fillon and far-left contender Jean-Luc Melenchon 20 percent, which will mean their elimination from the race.

"The 2017 presidential election was the first in the history of the Fifth Republic in which a sitting president did not seek a second term. On 1 December 2016, incumbent president François Hollande, acknowledging his low approval ratings, announced he would not seek a second term." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_presidential_election,_2017 France election: Marine Le Pen sees Trump-like boost in support, but victory far from assured "With one day before France officially heads to the polls for the first round of its presidential elections, candidate Marine Le Pen -- who has built her campaign on the populist anger that helped President Trump get elected -- is seeing a similar boost in support." An opinion poll released Friday shows her nearly neck-and-neck with centrist candidate Emmanuel Macron, a jump in the past week.

Is that an opinion/vote for a "yes" (?) - i.e. a President could conceivably veto a spending bill. Has that ever happened before, I wonder.

Hackers hit D.C. police closed-circuit camera network, city officials disclose Hackers infected 70 percent of storage devices that record data from D.C. police surveillance cameras eight days before President Trump’s inauguration, forcing major citywide reinstallation efforts, according to the police and the city’s technology office. City officials said ransomware left police cameras unable to record between Jan. 12 and Jan. 15. The cyberattack affected 123 of 187 network video recorders in a closed-circuit TV system for public spaces across the city. Brian Ebert, a Secret Service official, said the safety of the public or protectees was never jeopardized.

Can President Trump veto any spending bill that doesn't include border wall infrastructure money/down payment ? That could possibly be a trump card to play, and a gutsy move for a President probably never used before.

Trump Vows to Unveil Tax-Cut Plan Next Week, Surprising Staff WASHINGTON — President Trump promised on Friday that he would unveil a “massive” tax cut for Americans next week, vowing a “big announcement on Wednesday,” but he revealed no details about what is certain to be an enormously complicated effort to overhaul the nation’s tax code. Mr. Trump offered his tax tease in an interview and again during remarks at th Treasury Department on Friday afternoon as he raced to stack up legislative accomplishments before his 100th day in office at the end of next week. His announcement surprised Capitol Hill and left Mr. Trump’s own Treasury officials speechless

Thanks . . . good pictures of the crater site in the road intersection that I haven't seen. But, I noticed wind direction is reported in the weather report as the opposite direction of his arrows in his analysis (?) Wind direction at 9am is E(ast) 4mph . . . his arrow is instead towards the east, and those areas/hamlets of the village, which is where villagers came from (mostly, as in other reports - Reuters) and towards this intersection coming upon some dead. Looking more or less from east-southeast side of street . . . shadow would be before noon

RINOs in leadership and a RINO in the WH got on board together, but were saved by the Freedom Caucus and a few other GOP revoluters from making a bigger mistake. RINO in WH is making his big mistakes now in foreign policy, and so is completely out of health care. Drumpf signs whatever comes through to his desk from Congress, imo. Repeal with a simple mandate . . . mandate that the states decide about any health care right and a state mandate if they want one. i.e. what State(s) are 1/5th communism (?)

"An Aviation Department spokeswoman did not respond to questions about the duties of the aviation police force, but Zalewski said the agency's commissioner will be asked that on Thursday. The agency's history is a decidedly Chicago story. According to Zalewski, the force was created years ago by the legendary Mayor Richard J. Daley. "The chief of his bodyguard detail, when he retired, was sent to O'Hare to head up a new security detail ... called gate guards." he said. "In the old days, it was all patronage. It was all clout to get those jobs." The department grew and became more sophisticated during the tenure of Daley's son, Mayor Richard M. Daley. The "gate guards" became "aviation security officers" whose uniforms closely resembled those of city police officers, Zalewski said.
