I am not misrepresenting what Ron says at all. He would disagree with nothing I said. But to make it easy so there is no more pointless arguing. Just put me down for what Ron says in the video. I agree 100% with Ron.

Of course that is what you mean. Otherwise you wouldn't have disagreed with what I said and called me a eugenicist. It fits in nicely with your views on usury in this thread and banning employers from requiring vaccination and drug tests.

My view is the view is the view of the namesake of this site. Ron Paul wouldn't sure wouldn't say a hospital is practicing eugenics by denying service to people who can't pay because of choices they made. If you want to take the risk of no health insurance and buy a boat. That's fine. You should live with the consequences of taking that risk.

And you sound like a Communist. From each according to their ability to each according to their need, amirite? The only moral duty of government is to protect property rights. No one has a moral claim on the goods and services of others. Free people voluntarily trading with one another is both moral and creates a horn of plenty. There is no right to health care.

This Ron Paul Forums not Rick Santorum forums. Your argument is the same argument used for every nanny state policy that ever existed. Just fill in the blank. Drugs should be illegal because drug users will commit get violent. Online gambling should be illegal because people will easily their money and do bad things. Violent video games should be banned because people will be violent. Prostitution and porn should be banned because of whatever terrible thing happens because if them. Money should be redistributed to the poor because if it isn't they will commit crimes.

I am scratching my head where you would get that? Not allowing businesses to require vaccination is certainly more government which is what I am opposing I am also for letting hospitals let unvaccinated and uninsured people die if those people can't pay or if there are other people in line. Requiring hospital service is a government law.

    1. The virus mutates which makes the vaccine less effective over time. More vaccinated people means fewer hosts and more likely for virus to die off. Besides the cost in deaths there is a huge economic cost the longer the virus exists. People change their behavior if they don't think going out is safe. 2. Unvaccinated people are significantly more likely to have severe illness and use up hospital resources than vaccinated people. See below from today. Also unvaccinated people are more likely to choose not to have health insurance. https://news.bloomberglaw.com/health-law-and-business/unvaccinated-adults-are-more-likely-to-be-uninsured-study-finds Nothing wrong with not having health insurance if you can show proof of funds if you want treatment. On the other hand if someone someone doesn't have insurance and doesn't have funds, they won't be refused treatment which everyone else has to pay for. That is a problem. I'm not even going to debate the merits of the vaccines because you will believe whatever irrational nonsense you want. I posted the basic math on Israel that anyone with a 1.0 GPA at a community college should get and it didn't change your mind. Frankly it doesn't matter. Nothing you said is important to whether a private business can require getting vaccinated. At all.

There isn't a reasonable argument for restricting private employers from compulsory vaccination. In fact private employers should be able to use as much leverage as possible to get people vaccinated. Not getting vaccinated imposes a cost on everyone else. The virus mutates. This anti-vax crap is irrational nonsense. At this point, I am for letting people behave irrationally but that doesn't mean its free. Imposing a high cost like losing a job or increasing health insurance premiums still lets people not get vaccinated if they want but most will get vaccinated because of the cost imposed. Hayek realized this. Ron Paul supporter Nassim Taleb understands. Richard Epstein. Walter Block. On the other hand, the Civil Rights Act is complicated. I have no direct experience what blacks experienced in South but the movie Mississippi Burning made a big impact me. I don't know that is enough to make me support the Civil Rights Act but it is enough to make me reject using Tenth Amendment arguments to restrict freedom just because states are imposing tyranny. If states and local government want to stifle freedom, they shouldn't be allowed in a free society.

Josh Hawley is the worst of all worlds left wing fiscally and socially conservative. Josh Hawley is a working class socialist as George Will would say. He was one of the main Republican pushers of the stimulus checks that he sponsored with Bernie Sanders months after the recession officially ended. He supported banning stock buybacks. He is pushing a $12k tax credit for people with kids. He sponsored legislation for a $15 minimum wage. He constantly uses the phony or misleading stats about wealth inequality and wage stagnation.

What context were there? Here are the quotes. “I think Trump is at fault here,” Massie told The Dispatch. “I watched almost all of his speech. I felt like it was inevitable.” “People did mislead the folks that came here, and Trump was among them,” Massie said. “He insinuated that states wanted their electors thrown out, which was not true. I kept a spreadsheet of every document every state produced, and in no case did a majority of any legislature even put their name on the letter.” "His speech concerned me," Massie said. "He was posturing to the nation that if people did something, they could change the result of the election." The whole thing was based on a total lie. Trump lost. It wasn't like the rioters even had a virtuous cause. They are equals to Black Lives Matter rioters fighting for nothing.

So you think because a Republican donor who has a position in a stock that is loose change to him (which given the size of fund and his role likely doesn't even know he owns) is the reason the state of Florida is using whatever Regeneron is offering? You really think that? Here is an alternate theory. Trump used the Regeneron product and people in Florida wanted it.

I would write the exact same thing whether it was Bernie Sanders or Lindsay Graham or Ron Paul. If someone has their net worth invested in an index fund they have a substantially more meaningful stake in Regeneron than Ken Griffin.

There are only so many liquid stocks. If Regeneron stock went up 10 fold it would add .3% to Citadel's yearly returns. It means nothing. These are trash articles that you can write for every single hedge fund donor. They rely on Boobus Americanus not understanding basic math. They are direct hit pieces using facts but facts that are 100% irrelevant to anything. If this reporter resided in my benevolent dictatorship, the punishment for writing this would be getting their hands cut off.

The overwhelming majority of private companies don't get federal funding. For example, Wal-Mart is mandating vaccines for some workers. I don't see where they are getting paid for it. Failing to see why free association needs to be repealed. Rules banning companies from requiring vaccination go in the same bucket as anti-discrimination laws and equal pay laws. They make it less attractive to go into business and hire people. They increase lawsuits and create waste. If enough people don't want to be vaccinated there will always be employers who don't make it a requirement because it will allow them to get labor for cheaper.

I'll be honest and not trying to be snarky. I really don't know how any of that relates to my post or the thread. Employment is voluntary. It wouldn't matter if the government developed the vaccines but they didn't. Workplace rules are not fascism. If someone wants to masturbate at work, it is hardly unreasonable to ban that. Just like it is not unreasonable to ask people to get vaccinated to make the workplace safer. And if you think the vaccines are some deadly experiment poison, that's fine. You have the option to not work at a place that requires it.

There is only one Koch brother as least as it relates to politics and when people talk about the Koch Brothers. David Koch is dead. Charles Koch is a classical liberal. He has done more to promote freedom than almost anyone who has ever lived. He's in the Ron Paul, Ayn Rand, Milton Friedman, Hayek, Mises category. You want to know who isn't a libertarian? People who think businesses can't require vaccination to work. This is a litmus test issue. There is no in between. I can least sort of understand the Civil Rights Act support but this is clear cut.

Pretty amusing the hysteria over Brian Kelly's joke. Leftists (and all those offended are leftists) are such hypersensitive losers. Also funny that Brian Kelly is a top five college coach and people constantly think he should fired for losing two or three games. UMich has a big game against Washington next week. Two very young quarterbacks and a whole new staff and no veteran receivers. 7-5 is my expectation with that talent. I would consider 8-4 to be a great year and a job saver for Harbaugh. 6_6 or worse and probably fired.

Why would you be surprised? There threads wanting to crack down on the free association of tech companies, anti-free trade and immigration threads, threads that support DeSantis outlawing mask requirements for private businesses, and threads supporting a lunatic nurse who fraudulently injected people with saline solution instead of vaccine. Just look at the thread right below this one. People are complaining about mommy FDA approving the vaccines too quickly. My complaint is the FDA exists at all so there is a pretty wide chasm between some and liberty views.

I do enjoy torqueing those who believe in insane shit. It isn't trolling because I mean it. A lot of these are just not debatable issues. The worst of the worst are people who thought Donald Trump won. He lost handily. I don't even recognize someone who thinks Trump won as human. And especially don't think someone who holds that view and charges into Capitol needs to be breathing.
