    No, I do not work in the mining industry right now. Small business owner ATM. I did a lot of my financial certifications and worked as a trader for a time, but otherwise my research was all personal. I've probably "analyzed" a good few thousand mining companies over the years. It is literally only 1-5% of the companies that are even worth looking at, so you need the financial side as well as the geology side in order to be successful. I'd recommend taking the MINE 101 course at BCIT before starting. I've yet to do so, but it comes highly regarded. Jobs are pretty easy to find if you're willing to do IR for a not-so-great company at the beginning. Once better company execs hear you speak and can tell that you know what you're talking about, you'll get scooped up pretty quick. We have a big city "complex" here, but it's all still relatively small-time.
