Everyone will get offended if I give a direct explanation, so I'll just show examples instead. 1. Black guy shoots homeless people on a train. How does that get reported / discussed on RPF? Is "the whole point of interest the motivations and circumstances behind it?" No. It is reported as a fact, the primary theme is that he's black, and the implication is that the man's blackness is the cause of the shooting. Nobody's asking what happened in his life that led to this. 2. White guy shoots white kids in a school.

He needs a cause for the shooting that is essential to the person's identity.

I love how you're trying to squirm your way to a meaning other than what is blindingly obvious by the contents of your posts. You think that this is somehow a conspiracy against white people when it's actually the complete opposite. Black kid gets killed by a stray bullet from a drive-by shooting, that gets at most a mention on the local evening news. White kid gets killed by a stray bullet in a school shooting, this gets weeks of press.

If the reason for that is to hide the details of the shooter, why didn't they hide the details of the shooter? How about a better question: Where are the pictures of the victims? Here in the real world, this guy shot some homeless people who were sleeping on Chicago public transit at 5am. They didn't even stir as he shot them one by one, three in one train car and one in the other. Am I supposed to believe that you have suddenly found some deep inner well of give-a-fuck for homeless drug addicts in Harlem, Chicago?
