I, frankly, don't think we're going to survive the coming Marxist revolution, considering that the left has now consolidated almost universal power in every single institution in the country: they have all three branches of government, they have the media complex, they have the military complex, they have the entertainment complex, the have the schools from pre-day care to graduate school, and they have all of the most powerful corporate organizations, including those that control every byte of data in our world and they now have the largest Christian Church in the world in their corner as well. We have nothing, other than a failed political party of weaklings, collaborators, Quislings, backstabbers and traitors. What fucking good is Mitch McConnell or Lindsey Graham or Mittens Romney to the cause of liberty or the fight that is coming? There may be one or two shining stars in Congress, that in normal times may have grown to become statesmen of liberty.

Good. I hope that is exactly what happens. If in any given election the Democrats get an outright majority of votes, then they would likely have won anyway, and there having being two "conservative" (LOL) parties instead of just one (LOL again) won't really have made a difference. But if under the same circumstance the Democrats can only win by pluralities, then their perceived "legitimacy" in the public mind will be undermined, which is all to the good. Good. I hope that is exactly what happens, too. And if the Republicans end up going the way of the Whigs, then so much the better.

Um, yet, here we are. The problems with your approach are as follows: 1 - Most Americunts could not give a frog's ass about the Bill of Rights. One half thinks it's something criminals and the ACLU hide behind, the other half think it's something Nazis and racists hide behind. Freedom is now universally abhorred and hated. 2 - You say all these cannot be done, yet, here we are. Our first, fourth and fifth amendment rights are shattered. The courts rule it is justified. Angry mobs, the last resort of a crushed people are called insurrectionists and are hunted down for punishment.

I'll just repeat what I said in another thread: The more hopeful part of me wants to think that Trump will pardon Assange and/or Snowden, if only as a way to stick a finger in the eye of the Cathedral as he departs office. But the more cynical (and realistic) part of me suspects that Trump is too much of a gutless narcissist to bear (what he perceives as) the additional damage the Cathedral will surely do to his "legacy" if he grants either or both of those pardons. IOW: It all comes down to how much of a self-regarding coward he is. I hope not much of one (and I will be delighted if that is the case), but I'm not holding my breath. If he does it, it will be the best and most laudable thing he's done in his tenure (along with not starting any new wars). We'll see ... Beyond what they have already done and still intend to do.
