Except no one even remotely considers the Weinstein scandal as much of a big deal as the Las Vegas shooting.

If you're really into the band, then you'll enjoy this video. Ed King talks about how they wrote Sweet Home Alabama and Saturday Night Special. He gives an insight about how music and water mix, using the example of the Jones Beach (NY) music venue. Ronnie would go fishing and would be able to hear the band playing back on the house. He would then further compose the song. Leslie Hawkins talks about Ronnie Van Zant's leadership and how he always had a clear picture of the songs they were composing. He never wrote down anything, but always had it in his head. Video is about 10 minutes. Really fun to watch.

No. I'm not sorry. Guy who gave me the 1 star. You can try to justify the immorality of being gay, jacking off, doing drugs, being a hedonist, being a satanist etc based around your corrupt concept of rights but at the end of the day I don't buy it and I'm not giving in. Get a life. Your not based for wanting to take over other peoples communities and expelling them for being "hedonists" and using the cops to protect the political sovereignty of your fundy clique. Who made your pet magic sky fairy and not someone elses, the sole arbitrater of rules and (dare I say) justice in the universe? No one ever became a libertarian just to hear about how smoking dope (a peaceful pasttime) is supposedly "libertine". Hopefully this mentality of mixing political theory with religion goes away and people remember that we used to have a certain moral principle and acronym known as the NAP that people adhered to as opposed to the doctrines of Fundamentalist Calvinism. Which I never hear mentioned. Ever. Seriously though NC and lily if you really want your "libertarian" paradise go live with the Amish. Your thoughts @PierzStyx ?

https://www.sabhlokcity.com/2010/12/gods-ongoing-struggle-against-science/ The topic of God is deeply tied to our existence in many ways – and continues to influence society both positively and negatively. The fact that politics and religion should be kept separate does not mean that this is easy. However, this is also a topic on which evidence is sorely missing, and faith has to take its place. To be educated means to be a searcher for the truth through the exercise of reason. But the faith-based concept of God – with its potential implications for our lives and the hereafter (if any) – sits uneasily with the reality of our material world where evidence is king. Nothing that we do in our life is ultimately without reason. But not God. At that stage reason takes a back seat. Surely this topic cannot be exempt from the application of reason. We must continue to research God rigorously and stretch reason till it reaches an end. And that is what Victor Stenger's book God: The Failed Hypothesis, does (I wrote a short blog post a few weeks ago on this book). The book is a fascinating battle against the concept of God. Those who have John Hosper's read exposition on these issues (i.e. arguments in favour of and against God) in his book, Philosophical Analysis will find further food for thought in Stenger. I'm therefore providing below an interesting extract from Stenger's book, noting that there are people out there who dispute Stenger's arguments (e.g. see here). Personally, I haven't yet finished this book nor will I attempt a rigorous and critical review of the facts of the matter at this stage (That is something I will do in due course when I have the time and inclination for such analysis). But I've learnt a lot of useful scientific information from this book. Definitely a book worth having in every educated person's library. (Note: a recent issue of The Economist reported on work by Roger Penrose and Vahe Gurzadyan that argues that the world had no beginning and that data from the big bang show traces of a previous universe! This concept has been discussed in Stenger's book but empirical proof has only recently been published. Read this report here. Fascinating! To me, though, there remain many gaps in our knowledge about the universe, the most important being that we still don't know how energy is converted into matter – although I suspect there is a purely mechanical explanation for that process . If you are interested in such topics, then join me on Facebook here.)

http://nichegamer.com/2016/08/28/git-gud-or-die-trying/ This is an editorial piece. The views and opinions expressed in this article are those of the author and do not necessarily represent the views and opinions of, and should not be attributed to, Niche Gamer as an organization. I know it’s great for our hit count and keeps people caring about little rebel gaming sites like us, but I really do despise talking about GamerGate and the foul torrent of bullshit that rolls down the newly built fortress of social justice which has turned the hobby into its own personal outhouse. It just seems so silly to have to explain – in editorials such as this – simple things like “let the buyer decide what is acceptable” and “allow developers to create what they want.” After all, it’s been that way through all of the 80s, 90s, and 2000’s, so why are we now being convinced that regression is the new progression in gaming?
