It seems like this bill only cuts taxes for the rich. Anyone making $30k-$250k might see a small cut. Like savings of $500 a year. Some will see a small increase due to the deductions being removed. Only the people making 1%er income will see substantial cuts. For that reason, I'm out. Also, didn't Rand pledge to not vote to increase the deficit? And this increases it by $1.5 Trillion? I'm not really a deficit hawk, but they need to at least make some token cuts to spending to try to offset this.

I want one. I don't have anything like the salary it takes. About the closest I'm getting to one is the computer game FORZA HORIZON 3 and any add-on or make-over they do.

I agree. The GOP is about to be sunk by Trump's scandals, he is more interested by featherbedding than he is budget balancing, and the younger activists on the left want to give socialism a chance. One cannot give out political plums in a corrupt manner and say one is truly budget cutting. Either one is carefully frugal when being fiscally sound or everything becomes worse than a sick joke writ large. Trump's business ties are a complex & tangled web, if the House is Democrat, he's impeached. We are a year away from the bi-election of 2o18 and voters can vote out dysfunctional incumbents. The recent rise in the stock market is purely speculative, we all do not have a climbing GNP at all. Things are not stable or secure, our politics is polarized, there is a lack of direction, a discontent.

Last nite saw this slew of Democrat victories in local districts/races that the Trump/Pence ticket and/or GOP candidates had carried in 2016. The young tend to vote Democrat, voters over the age of 30 split 50/50 between Mitt Ronmey & Barack Obama in 2o12, normally GOP moderates try to straddle both sides of the fence & avoid being perceived as venal or greedy. Trump's many scandals are destroying this strategy, the GOP party hacks are between a rock & hard place. There is an anger in the land, IMOHO were Doctor Ron Paul 20 years younger he'd be able to run and get the party nomination for once, it feels like 2020 is going to be a "throw the bums out" year after 2o18

In Virginia last nite --- 10 to 12 solid GOP seats just flipped progressive Democrat BLUE as candidates thought to be closely associated with Donald Trump became political lepers. Expect more of the same voter backlashing in 2o18 if the GOP never cuts its ties to DJT.

100 million Americans had contests they could vote in, yesterday. There was quite a string of flipped seats inside a rising "blue" tide...

I keep on forgetting what looks tidy on my lil ole tablet might be jumbled up prose-poems to Dadaism on someone else's system interface. Admittedly I did not even start to opine on the abysmal trouncing many GOP types just recieved at the polls over much of yesterday. This was not even a bi-election, only special elections had D.C seats in play, this all was pretty much state and local contests. This is an odd numbered year, expect 2018 to be brutal on the GOP as the party hacks avoid D.J Trump like the plague. Control in the House is in play, the Senate is about to flip in a big way. Moderate Republicans sense a voter backlash, they are in a tough position for they must defend POTUS to the voters knowing fully well his chosen few are making out like bandits or even hogs at the slopping trough... Trump's GOP foes only get crumbs from his table. Everyone knows how the public monies are being looted at the current hour. This administration is very corrupt. Problem is, the younger voters tend to be idealistic, honest and think Democrat. Trump's many scandals are sinking right wing Republicans. Senator Rand Paul is one of the few candidates on the Republican right who does not look like he's on the take. He alone has a chance in 2020 because he has been honest with the voters...

Our debt is the size it is because of the War on Terror... Clinton balanced his budgets. It is not domestic spending that sank us all into this big hole, it is our reaction to 911.

She is not the person pushing this idea, she is not part of the group that thinks a fresh start cuts short pain and misery. She may be out of touch with the younger members of her party. If the Bush people want it done a.s.a.p they side with the Democrats. We do not have to wait for seats to flip in 2o18 if the mood gets any angrier at this all.

Rand was also almost shot at in Alexandria, Virginiia!!! Personally I feel these two events have no connection but the mood of the country is angry and shrill. I do think D.J Trump will leave public office after a Senate Trial, he is not fated to be the NEXT Andrew Johnson. Like Jerry Ford, Mike Pence will step in, but will find it extremely difficult to bring about a landslide like Ronald Reagan in 1980. The Democrats must find a contender who is YOUNGER than Barack Obama to get past 2016. Both parties are wide open and lack fresh leadership!!!

I don't think Mike Pence can unite our political factions, and until the Democrats unify behind a much younger POTUS contender, Bernie and Hillary will go at it anew. Both parties need to find a new consensus, Trump has divided us even worse. I have not seen our country this angry in my long 6 decade lifetime. We have a dearth of leadership not unlike the generation that fought our great Civil War. We need to repair our political process to drive the fast & easy money from it. Each change from now on has to be carefully thought out, not feckless.

Mueller has his focus on Gen'l Flynn and his son, Manafort's trial is in May... If Donald Trump gets impeached, there may be a Senate Trial. The country is head up now, all I want Rand Paul to do is to vote his principles, and if possible run in 2020. Vice-President Pence may end up serving out the rest of DJT's term if the news out of Washington gets any worse. I want unity in the USA.

The thought of two well-to-do old guys wrestling over some minor property dispute cracks me up. I bet Rand has some trees hanging over the other guys property line that he refused to remove.
