And yet, if there's ever another budget argument, they're still going to ceremonially drape chains over the entrances to the national parks and wag their heads for a week, and all the news anchors are going to be wearing sackcloth and ashes and flagellating themselves over how much suffering the American people are going through because they won't pass a budget.
And everyone will just magically forget, immediately upon command by the fourth estate, that this system doesn't even need a functioning leader to keep moving in perpetuity. It's literally Hotel California and everyone just seems content to dance.
I don't want him to win any more than I'd prefer prostate cancer to lymphoma. Oh sure if I have to take one the choice is obvious, but I'm sick and tired being the only person apparently on the entire planet taking the time to wonder how we got forced to choose a cancer, being one of about three people even talking about it, and refusing to play.
You laugh, but Trump should be up by 30 points in every swing state. The economy is in ruins, foreign policy is a disaster, invaders are flooding our borders, they tried to kill Trump and couped Biden, the dollar has never been more in jeopardy, and Kamala is an obvious puppet of the machine. And yet, it's still close. Because Trump SUCKS!
Look, I want him to win, but damn he SUCKS!
That's not the strange part, though.
You have to admit PAF has a point. The strange part is, even now that they're being completely overt and transparent about it, people are still looking at the two major party candidates like it makes a difference which gets installed.
Not any more. Now they're just two flavors of slavery to give us the illusion of choice one more time.
The slavery is about to start. Which flavor? Pick your poison.
At least they have the sense to admit they have no idea what they're looking at. They aren't using X-rays, so they have no idea if what they're seeing is metallic or biological. The 1960's style cartoon drawings don't help; it's almost like sites do things like that just to destroy their own credibility.
But as the vaxxed walk around growing "calamari" in their veins, it's hard to deny there's something weird growing out of those jabs.
Not any more. Now they're just two flavors of slavery to give us the illusion of choice one more time.
But there might be bread, maybe. In any case, there will be bloody circuses...
How are they getting away with it?
The much vaunted "black surge" is nowhere to be seen.
In GA, black support for Trump is pretty much where it has been for every GOP candidate since Nixon.
Single digits, around 8 points or so.
It's slightly better in NC at 13.
Neither of those are enough to win.
"Government ... does not exist of necessity, but rather by virtue of a tragic, almost comical combination of klutzy, opportunistic terrorism against sitting ducks whom it pretends to shelter, plus our childish phobia of responsibility, praying to be exempted from the hard reality of life on life's terms." Wolf DeVoon
