Some people are just extremely distrustful in everything, and their ideas are perpetuated by confirmation bias. If they were right, you have to wonder why the global population is increasing faster than ever before and people are living longer than ever before. But I'm wondering why the masses haven't been sterilized by the GMOs, fluoridated water, autism injections, chemtrails, (insert your theory here). Maybe it's all in your heads? It's actually amazing how there is so much evidence debunking these theories, little evidence for them to begin with, but people are so easily convinced to believe anything (as long as it contradicts the "mainstream narrative.") Imagine if the government/scientific community said that global warming didn't exist and was nothing to worry about. These same people would be screeching "CLIMERT CHENGE." They aren't motivated by facts, but by distrust in authority, which is why these people are so prevalent among the liberty community.

Oh man I long had problems with Romans 13 but as you Christians say, you really gotta read the whole thing. LOL what a statist religion. How can you be simultaneously Christian and proudly pronounce "taxation is theft"? Anarcho-capitalism and Christianity are completely incompatible. No wonder some of you are so fervently against Paul and his "heresy." Why believe any of it at all it's so thoroughly corrupted? A real joke of a religion

Wow, that's really far north Israel is bombing. Is that about between Homs and Aleppo? It's really amazing how one of the few places in which ISIS still has a strong, unchallenged presence is right on the border of the Golan Heights. I hope another 2006 war isn't brewing... hezbollah is stretched really thin right now

Lol you people have absolutely no argument against DACA. All I'm reading is "them just too different from us white folk" as you sit on your rocking chairs with a shotgun chewing tobacco. They are ineligible for most welfare programs, and this system is very similar to what Ron was talking about when he voiced support for "green card with an asterisk." I was actually at a pro-DACA protest earlier today, and what these people ACTUALLY want is full, immediate citizenship for all illegals, which I imagine no one here, including myself, supports. DACA for them is just a "small crumb." It is simply immoral to deport most of the people that are eligible for DACA. They lived here since they were kids, how is it preferable to deport them to a totally foreign country, away from their friends and family, instead of giving them this in-between status?

It might not be what you believe, but it's the only honest reading of Christianity there is. The theonomists took the Bible to it's logical conclusion, and look how awful of people they are. If you reject the importance of the old testament, you aren't a real christian.

Many scholars say that 2 Timothy was not written by Paul, but someone else who then attributed it to Paul. I guess guilt by association, huh? Why is my source wrong? I'm more apt to believe my source as opposed to you. You have little in common with 99% of other christians. And I can prove my source is right and you are wrong anyways. So you are saying it's actually saying "All the 10 commandments and the prophets hang on these two commandments." Yea that makes A LOT of sense. What a shitty god you have that can't even write a sensible sentence.

You are so far removed from mainstream christianity it's almost useless to even respond to you, but nevertheless, I will. 1. Your statements about Paul are completely irrelevant as neither Matthew nor 2-Timothy, and of course nothing in the old testament are written by him. I didn't use any Paul passages in showing that the Old Testament in its entirety is still useful for all Christians according to the New Testament. 2. Why was Paul a heretic? If that's the case, why didn't the 300 Christian leaders at the Council of Nicea exclude his writings? Why didn't the Holy Spirit guide all the biblical authors? Why did the entire church fail so badly, so early on? Why is, according to you, Christianity so horribly misguided? Why even believe it at all if it's capable of being corrupted by heretics? You either don't understand my point, don't know how to answer it, or don't care. But you are totally wrong about Matthew referring to only the 10 commandments.

Oh, so you actually believe that list of commandments is still required to be followed to this day? The level of cognitive dissonance required to enjoy the modern, secular world while still turning to the genocidal ramblings of antiquity for moral guidance truly is remarkable. You don't even disagree with my main point: that capital punishment is endorsed in both covenants, only the means by which I came to that conclusion. So what's wrong with my methodology? It clearly says in the verses I quoted that all scripture is important and you will become righteous by following it. Why do you only select some of the Old Testament and not all of it? Isn't all of it useful? Timothy 3:16 and Matthew 5:17-19 are very clear. Tread lightly... this is heresy you are committing.

I'm atheist because I have studied religious doctrine far more than the average christian/jew/muslim/whatever and have rejected all them. Do you have an actual argument or will you just employ another logical fallacy?

The Bible is pretty clear about this. The Old Testament explicitly endorses capital punishment for a wide variety of crimes, many of which are very innocuous. However, the New Covenant abolishes the Old Covenant. But what does that mean? It only means that it is no longer binding and required to be followed. But it's still a good idea to do so in order to be more righteous and higher up in the kingdom of heaven. Clearly, although not required, it's beneficial for Christians to follow ALL old testament laws. Here's some examples of relevant laws: There's no consistent, christian argument against this whatsoever. If you don't accept that capital punishment is a good thing, but still call yourself a christian, you should probably just quit the BS and reject theism like us rational folk

Lol it's really obvious what I meant to type, but since you are trying to score a couple ego points back after getting completely demolished I'll let you have it So this went from "Hawkings thinks we should seek out God but when we find Him we will all die. (Again I kid you not)" to greek gods were actually aliens that messed with us then and are messing with us to this day. And this is staying consistent in your mind... how? And that is not at all what Tyson was saying. "Screw with us for entertainment" IS NOT THE SAME AS "have positively no interest in us at all." Get some comprehension skills. sheesh.

I should have realized there was a minimum level of intelligence necessary to put 2 and 2 together, so I will explain it for you. What kind of alien civilization could intentionally place humanity on the earth, and maintain it like a zoo for themselves, all while being undetected? A very intelligent one. What did Tyson say about the likelihood of a very intelligent civilization having interest in humanity? Low. If you consider the creation of a zoo for humanity and ongoing interference in our lives as "taking interest in humanity," then obviously Tyson said it was very unlikely. give me my fucking money bro

lmao, just send me my $200. I finally found the article you are referring to. This is just another example of the outright dishonesty that is all too common among belligerent theists. http://www.wired.co.uk/article/neil-degrasse-tyson-intelligent-alien-life You claim that Tyson believes (i.e thinks its very likely) that earth is a zoo created by aliens who interfere in our lives. However, he uses the word "could" which suggests doubt, and then says the likelihood of such a scenario ever occurring is low. This is certainly very low on his list of possible explanations for life on earth. In fact, he has provided other explanations, such as life on earth originating from martian meteorites. $100 for me. Hawking never claimed there to be an "all powerful intelligence that we must seek out that will kill us when we find it." He said there are likely aliens in the universe more intelligent than us, and we should be concerned about finding them because they may want to destroy us, but should look anyways. More intelligent than human does not mean "omniscient," like the impossible god you devised for yourself. $200 for me.

Neil deGrasse Tyson does not believe in god, and you pulled this "zoo keeper" thing straight out of your ass. Hawking doesn't believe in god either. The question of whether or not life exists in other parts of the universe has absolutely nothing to do with evolution. The theory of evolution does not seek to explain the origin of life, but only how that life changes over time. You seem to be suggesting that as evolution continues, eventually the intelligence of life will transcend limitation. There is of course absolutely no evidence for this, and if this somehow occurred, it could not have happened in this universe as that would be useless in explaining the beginnings of this universe. Maybe what you want to suggest is that your god exists in some other universe, who came about through evolution, and then this god created this universe. Again, there is no evidence for this whatsoever. God is not an answer to any of these questions. God/s were used to explain everything that was unknown to man. God is just what humanity has historically used as a non-answer to do nothing more than state "we don't know."

In a system where prosecutors routinely falsify evidence to get convictions, there should certainly be no death penalty. And that will never be the case, so it's best to get rid of it. People also called for the execution of people like Manning and Snowden. In a country where such idiocy, corruption, and sociopathy are rampant inside the government, it's best for the death penalty to be as far as possible from the trigger fingers of these maniacs. Religion is false. And Zippy didn't bring it up, lol...

If only such a system existed. In the United States, it certainly doesn't, so in the meantime, we should probably get rid of the death penalty. And to use the US as an example, the murder rate in states with the death penalty is significantly higher than states without it. So that "fear of death" deterrent doesn't seem to be doing too much. I'm not sure why you initially chose to inject your religious BS into it. Religion is best at making people value the lives of their fellow man less.

It's just too bad I guess that there's absolutely no evidence that any god exists, much less the god of the bible. Why the hell should we risk killing innocent people because we make the baseless assumption that some higher power will make it right in the end?
