Only two things, really. Free market capitalism has lifted more people out poverty and starvation around the globe, in 300 years, then everything else has in 30,000 years. The ChiComs released COVID on an unsuspecting world, then lied about it and covered it up until it was too late and spread around the globe. They were assisted by traitors within our own government. They have, as we speak, already conducted positive lab tests on a new corona variant that is 100 percent fatal. That episode was nothing more than a modern re-telling of Mark Twain's "The Man Who Corrupted Hadleyburg", which in itself is nothing more than a retelling of Adam and Eve in Eden.

That's why I fight the culture war. I don't want to live like that, and I have every right in the world to oppose that and prevent that from happening in my home town.

Weak, disillusioned, demoralized, stupid white people? They'd do nothing. Oh sure, they'd bitch and moan and post strongly worded tweets of disapproval, until football season started anyway.

It's a gimmick anyway. Some states already award electoral votes by congressional district. So there's no reason they can't do that right now anyway. Why doesn't California do this? They'd have to give Orange County to the Republican candidate.

Meh. Sounds like alt-right fan fiction. Donald Trump would be far more dangerous as a martyr than as a president. And even if Trump gets convicted on all 4 indictments on the 85 remaining counts (6 were thrown out) not a single charge is for insurrection. Only an insurrection conviction would disqualify Trump for running for president. So they're not even trying to stop him. You could argue that they don't have a basis for an insurrection charge...but I don't think they have a sufficient basis for the other charges either. Finally, Trump isn't the threat. Trump's supporters are the threat. Trump "Take the guns and then have due process. Bumpfire stock ban. Assault weapons ban." Trump supporters "You'll take my guns from my cold dead hands." Trump "Keep taking your boosters." Trump supporters "Booo!" Part of the reason Trump wasn't indicted insurrection is because he wasn't actually leading anything. What do you think people like that would do if Trump was murdered?

For the record I've never attacked you for your "lesser of two evils" votes but I've just disagreed with it. That said, please tell me what you disagree with in this man's manifesto. I will put what I think is the most important parts in bold. Forget for a second his self label and just read what he wrote. My name is Max Azzarello, and I am an investigative researcher who has set himself on fire outside of the Trump trial in Manhattan. This extreme act of protest is to draw attention to an urgent and important discovery: We are victims of a totalitarian con, and our own government (along with many of their allies) is about to hit us with an apocalyptic fascist world coup. These claims sound like fantastical conspiracy theory, but they are not. They are proof of conspiracy. If you investigate this mountain of research, you will prove them too. If you learn a great deal about Ponzi schemes, you will discover that our life is a lie. If you follow this story and the links below, you will discover the rotten truth of ‘post-truth America’. You will learn the scariest and stupidest story in world history. And you will realize that we are all in a desperate state of emergency that requires your action.

I see no contradiction there at all. He's a threat to the system, for all his warts. They, for whatever reason, have decided they can not just shoot him. like they did to anybody that was a threat 50 years ago, so they'll eliminate him this way, through lawfare. You've fallen so far down the rabbit hole of Machiavellian fantasies you can't see a simple criminal conspiracy right in front of your nose. Take a wager on the first step of this: you really think that jury is going to acquit him?

State law takes US a step closer to popular vote deciding presidential elections https://abcnews.go.com/US/state-law-takes-us-step-closer-popular-vote/story?id=109437887 Maine is the latest state to pass the National Popular Vote Legislation law. By Nadine El-Bawab April 21, 2024, 6:23 AM After much public debate, a Maine law has brought the country closer to having the popular vote determine the winner of national presidential elections -- but it's unlikely that will happen before November or even at all.

Oddly enough, a significant portion of the Ukrainian army are white nationalists. And when Zelinsky spoke before the Canadian parliament they gave a standing ovation to a WW2 Ukrainian war "hero" who turned out to be a war criminal still wanted by Poland. The only good white nationalists are the ones agreeing with the PTB at the moment I suppose. Sadly a lot of really uninformed people. Some of them are decent. Most of them are simply clueless. The one good thing about the Israel / Gaza conflict is that people on both sides are starting to wake up a little bit. The Trump trial in Atlanta, and the disgusting acts of the adulterous home wrecker Fani Willis, is cause some people to wake up as well. The black community is divided on whether Fani going after Trump absolves her of the crime of stealing another woman's husband and thrusting their child into a single parent home as well as stealing Federal grant money meant to help curb inner city gang violence. A black pastor privately told me he was disgusted by her going to black churches in Atlanta for support after her adulterous affair became public. I suppose I look at everything from the position of what will wake somebody somewhere up to what's really going on.

Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. I do not give a fuck anymore. Taken in its totality, Trump will hurt me less than another Biden term will. It was a much easier choice ten years ago...I knew Mittens and Mcpain would hurt me equally as bad. Liberty is already destroyed and the nation is close to 50 trillion dollars in debt, yet it just borrowed billions more to hand out to Ukraine and the Jews, while doing fuck all for the citizens who live here.

Jim Jones coerced others into committing suicide at gunpoint so that's kind of different. I'm not endorsing this person's methods (although Buddhist monks did it in Vietnam not in support of Marxism but is support of their freedom to practice their religion, and IRA prisoners did hunger strikes for similar reasons). My concern is that most people are stuck in this "lesser of two evils" paradigm. I've got more in common with the black socialists that Biden is trying to prosecute for speaking against funding the Ukrainian war than I do with Lindsey Graham. You're worried about a coming coup? The coup already happened. The factions are just window dressing.

And Jim Jones, whose concept of "Revolutionary Suicide" seems to be taking hold, was right about some things as well. I think we all understand that voting is pretty much pointless at this juncture. I may or may not vote Trump in the fall. But does it really matter? A Maoist coup is just as bad as a fascist coup, and that is what the left in America, the people that this man said he was part of, most closely resemble.

I was just about to post this. Anti Federalist, "leftist" or not, this dude was not wrong about Trump and Biden both doing a fascist coup. Except it already happened. Trump gave the vaccine companies immunity for their poison and Biden mandated it. Trump did EVERTHING Fauci wanted when it came to the lockdowns! Imagine what would have happened if a President Hillary Clinton had tried to do what Trump got away with? There were armed protests in Michigan over Whitmere's lockdowns. Had Hillary been president they would have happened nationwide. Trump got away with it by being republican.

Move the goalposts? That's what you have done! You said Trump did the swamp appointments to avoid the first impeachment! Then after I pointed out that the swap appointments happened BEFORE the first impeachment, you moved the goalpost to "Russiagate." The burden is on YOU to show evidence of Republican Senators buying into Russiagate if you're going to use that argument!

Stormy Daniels wasn't diseased. Porn stars get regularly checked. Regardless, Trump was being sexually blackmailed by Stormy Daniels (and possibly others) prior to Russiagate being a thing. There a 130,000 reasons to believe that. Some yes or no questions. 1) Was Epstein most likely murdered? Yes or no? 2) Was William Barr connected to Epstein? Yes or no? 3) Did William Barr cover up Epstein's murder? Yes or no?

That's not what Jesus said. Matthew 23:37-39 37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! 38 See! Your house is left to you desolate; 39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” And God divided Israel from Judea back in the old testament 1 Kings 11:30-36

music director at the Catholic Church I went to removed all references to God as he and used gender neutral terms instead. Two priest did nothing about it. In the Orthodox Churches that I've gone to not just the priest and bishops would not have put up with that, but neither would the congregation. The reason the Orthodox is Orthodox world wide despite separation by land, language and nationalities is that the congregation wants to be Orthodox.

BTW, these are some generalities. I've been to some good Catholic Churches and luke warm Orthodox Churches but I've found Orthodoxy a lot more consistent but oddly, less rigid at the same time.

I found there is less of a tendency for people to ask favors in prayer and more to accept God's will and his mercies.

From my understanding, the roots of the schism go back to Augustine. He was a Latin speaking lawyer who didn’t read the Greek of the Desert Fathers. Luther and many other reformers were heavily influenced by his writings as well as Thomas Aquinas.

Also when refering to the teachings of The Church, Catholics tend to see them as coming from the Pope and Cardinals. The Orthodox see The Church as a consensus of everyone from the Fathers to all the Orthodox today led by the Holy Spirit of course. One thing that led me away from the RCC was the

2 Peter 1:1-11 is our view of Salvation. Yes we are predestined and were are also told to make every effort to confirm our election, so I see it as a mix of Calvinism and RCC. After the schism the Western Churches got hung up on different on bits and pieces of scripture and couldn’t focus on the whole of it. Hell’s Unicorn described Orthodoxy view on soteriology as “primitive.” I couldn’t argue with that. The icons are our family album. The Orthodox way of venerating them is no different than the way we greet each other at Church because we are made in His image. Sometimes I think Orthodox tend to argue too much like Catholics, IMO.

I found there is less of a tendency for people to ask favors in prayer and more to accept God's will and his mercies.

Here's a quick rundown: This is my understanding of the differences between RCs and EOCs. The EOC’s interpretations of scripture takes its roots from the Desert Fathers from the 1st few centuries. There is less of a legalistic and more mystical take. God is not narrowed down to judge, brother, creator etc. He is all that at once. John the Evangelist who reclined his head on Jesus’ chest at the Last Supper, fell to his face in awe and worship in his vision in the Book of Revelation.

Fasting and works are not to fulfil a penance, it is to be closer to God (Actually your questioning about fasting led me to Orthodoxy from the RCC) My understanding of salvation is that I am saved, and my works are to unite me with God-- more to bend my will towards God's.

Sola was the first to point out that he was definitely not an antinomianism. It's funny. It still took me a year to get that in my head. Erowe1 gave the best description of FA. I disagreed only on a technicality. That's when I dropped out of the arguments.

I was an atheist, then RC, and now EOC. The discussions here helped lead me to the EOC. My first intro to Faith Alone was fellow Marines who had sex with anything and said they were save by FA. That's how I argued it. I think what finally got to me was when some RCs were trying to say the good thief was saved by an act of faith because they didn't want to say he was saved by faith. It wasgrace through faith, and that would have saved me hundred of argumentative posts.

I'm Done

by Christian Liberty on 07-27-2013 at 06:53 PM
I'm so sick of seeing "Support our troops" or even worse "Fighting for our freedoms."

During a trip to Word of Life for a week of camp I saw a bumper sticker that said "God bless our troops, especially our snipers."

Usually, when trying to prove a point about war, I don't discuss the troops. I'll probably continue to do this. One teacher I had was open minded to listening to what I had to say about war, but had a father who had served in
