Nope. Corporations are NOT inevitable. They would NOT exist without government. They are no more inevitable than drug laws. Marriage? Marriage was a religious institution long before we had the governments we have today. Terrible analogy. The libertarian position on marriage is to get government out of marriage. How do you get government out of a government created institution like a corporation? Rhetorical question. You can't. People coming together to pool their resources are called partnerships. Partnerships existed prior to governments. Corporations are not persons. Oh, and Ron Paul agrees with me on this. See starting at 4:30

I would bet you all the money that is supposedly in your bank account that MOST people do not understand how the banking system works or that more money has been lent out then there are deposits. But at any rate, contract law does NOT operate under the assumption that "well most people know this." And if it did that would be wrong. Right after the civil war many freed slaves put the money they earned in the "Freeman's bank" which collapsed 9 years later from risky and speculative investing. Ummm....that's what I said. I will repeat it. Maybe I should rephrase it. When putting your money in the bank, if the bank is engaged in fractional reserve banking, the bank should disclose that all of the deposits could disappear tomorrow if things went wrong. People put money in banks not to earn interest (the bank interest, if any, is pitiful), but for their money to be "safe" and available when needed. Now since most banks are FDIC insured that's not so much of an issue. Of course the FDIC is "federal" which creates the moral hazard, thanks to the repeal of Glass-Steigal, that banks which are just "safely holding people's money" try to act like investment bankers at the same time, taking risks knowing they'll get bailed out.

If everybody understood when then "voluntarily" agreed to put their money in the bank that it wasn't really there...then yeah. But if that is not disclosed there is no real meeting of the minds or contract. And all of this is propped up by the government fiction of corporate personhood. People can come together and pool their capital for joint ventures. Those are called "partnerships." Corporations should not exist. There is nothing libertarian about them.

Yeah....Rand wrong on red flag laws too. (He actually went along with them for a hot minute after Trump floated them). Here's the deal. Get rid of corporate personhood and you won't need laws to reign in the power of out of control corporations. A corporation is a legally created entity. A legal fiction if you will. As long as that legal monstrosity exists, legal mechanisms to reign them in should also exist.

Lots of great information in this video. Interestingly enough Max brings up the "event 201" simulation that happened October 18, 2019 simulating a coronavirus pandemic. But then he dismisses the idea that COVID-19 was created in a laboratory because he has "seen no evidence of that." What does he call the fact that the NIH funded gain of function research on bat corona viruses and that research was being done in Wuhan which is the epicenter of the virus? Why was that left out of his analysis? But the overarching point is spot on. People say "trust the science", but a college dropout is being all over the Sunday talk shows promoting "science."

I disagree. He made some absolutely indefensible asinine moves. "I didn't want to cause a panic?" Do you seriously think that didn't cost him any votes? Talking about injecting disinfectant? Letting Fauci be all over the map? Simple Trump win. In January 2020 if he made this speech he would have been difficult to beat. "My fellow Americans. I know what I am about to say may not be well received due to the recent impeachment trial. But we are about to be in a state of emergency. I have received intelligence from Taiwan about a new SARS virus coming out of China but this one may be much worse than the other. Taiwan is locking down its borders but not its economy. We will do the same. All travel to an from the U.S. will be severely limited for the next month. Any Americans abroad please report to the nearest embassy, consulate or military base for 14 day quarantine and testing. We will keep re-evaluating this situation as we go along. I'm asking Congress for immediate emergency spending to procure protective equipment for hospital workers and first responders and to ramp up on shore manufacturing of the same. Make your on mask if you wish. The plans will be on the Whitehouse website. I want a clean bill. If congress tries to put any earmarks in this bill I will veto it. Please call your members of congress and tell them not to do that. We will put our best minds not only into discovering pharmucutical treatments and a possible vaccine for this new virus but also put forward a clearinghouse of which already available treatments and natural remedies may be effective. The type of virus, a coronavirus, has been known to the medical community for many years even though this is a new variation." Yeah. That MIGHT not of worked, but it MIGHT have. The fact that Trump managed to keep things close despite possibly being the worst presidential candidate in my lifetime tells me how weak Biden was.

Why thank you! Of course I am sure AOC and the most extreme leftists supports their followers having conversations promoting the "Green New Deal" or whatever....to a point. But for them, and Stef, there is a point to go cultist. At least that's my impression after having watched again the Joe Rogan interview with Stef on the subject. Here is where Stef goes off the cult end. Joe Rogan asks him about cutting people off who agree with the state and think that it's okay to have a government and Stef says "yes" and makes the phoney argument is that if you're going to be principled "at some point personal relationships have to become part of the equation." Now here's where I call that argument phoney. It's one thing to make personal relationships part of the equation by accepting the fact that other people might cut you off for having a difference of opinion. Jesus Himself was quit clear that would happen. But to cut others off because they disagree with you based on some far fetched argument that if they believe in the state "they want you killed?" Yeah...that's kind of ridiculous. No...that's absolutely ridiculous. Consider this. The Ron Paul position on pro-life, which I have adopted as my own, is in essence a "statist" position. If states are allowed to have abortion laws, then they can use force to prevent doctors from performing abortions. There's no way around it. Of course you can promote life by trying to change the culture (and I do). But that doesn't require a repeal of Roe v Wade. So...technically Stef would want my son to "defoo" me at some point. Maybe it's years and years down the road, after you've tried every argument you can think of etc. But I follow a higher calling. "Whatsoever it is that you would that men would do to you, do ye also unto them." I wouldn't want someone to cut me off just because I have a different view than them on which party to vote for or abortion or LGBTQIA or whatever. We ought to be able to disagree indefinitely about a whole host of issues and still be friends or at least family. Until there is a clear and present danger...until someone is literally turning names into the Stazi on the left or the Pinochet police on the right to be "disappeared", there is no justification from top down, bottom up, left wing, right wing, crowd sourced or one on one cancel culture. That brings me to another problem with Stef's video. He acted like only socialists disappeared people. Pinochet was no socialist. A death squad is a death squad. LOL. Funny!

As long as there is no violation of the antitrust laws that's true. What Farcebook, Twisteder and Ghougle did by sharing information on who to deplatform is a violation of the antitrust laws. Also just because something can fall under the definition of capitalism doesn't make it right. It was wrong for country stations to quit playing the Dixie Chicks. And no matter how dannno tried to differentiate it, that's still top down cancel culture. But who cares if it's bottom up? The attack on Chik-Fil-A for having donated to the family research council was absolutely bottom up cancel culture. I don't recall any conservatives saying "Well I guess that's all well and good. Free market and all." Of course Chik-Fil-A made record profits after being "cancelled" but they still caved and apologized for something that shouldn't have required an apology. Anyway, back to the Dixie Chicks. It's funny that the same country stations that cancelled them for saying they were ashamed of Bush for having started a war with Iraq still largely rallied around Trump for telling Jeb Bush "Your brother did not protect this country on 9/11." What's the difference? I'm sure people on the right will have some BS excuse like "Well they were on foreign soil" or "Well Bush was still president" or something equally as stupid. The truth is Trump had already earned his conservative bones by saying Mexico was sending rapists, along with "some good people," over the border and he was going to build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. I guess political correctness goes both ways. Michael Savage also got away with calling Iraq "the biggest foreign policy blunder in American history", after supporting the Iraq war and slamming Ron Paul in 2008 for being against it. But again he had earned his conservative bones. The Dixie Chicks first foray into politics was critical of Bush who was still loved by the useful idiots in the GOP at that time.

"Gay Marriage" has nothing to do with the libertarian leanings it's name would suggest. It is (was) a culture cudgel designed to silence opposition to the next waves of weirdosexualism now coming down the pike, culminating in two things: the normalization of pre pubescent pedophilia and "snuff" sex, whether filmed or carried out in real life. I say "was" because that battle is over, chalked up as another decisive win for the Marxist mob.

Actor Kevin Michael Richardson will now voice the role of Dr. Hibbert following Shearer’s final performance as the Simpson’s family physician on Sunday night’s episode, according to multiple reports. The re-casting comes after Fox said last year that it would no longer allow white actors to voice non-white characters on the long-running primetime animated show. The decision was part of Hollywood’s larger effort to crack down on content that might be deemed offensive or racist in the wake of Black Lives Matter protests and riots that were taking place in cities across the country.

But rather than spending time ONLY talking about the problem, or worse advocating a big government solution, he talked about alternatives. Not only does Clouthub promote free speech but, according to their about page, they actually respect user privacy. More about Clouthub: https://www.clouthub.com/about And the Kevin Sorbo interview:

music director at the Catholic Church I went to removed all references to God as he and used gender neutral terms instead. Two priest did nothing about it. In the Orthodox Churches that I've gone to not just the priest and bishops would not have put up with that, but neither would the congregation. The reason the Orthodox is Orthodox world wide despite separation by land, language and nationalities is that the congregation wants to be Orthodox.

BTW, these are some generalities. I've been to some good Catholic Churches and luke warm Orthodox Churches but I've found Orthodoxy a lot more consistent but oddly, less rigid at the same time.

I found there is less of a tendency for people to ask favors in prayer and more to accept God's will and his mercies.

From my understanding, the roots of the schism go back to Augustine. He was a Latin speaking lawyer who didn’t read the Greek of the Desert Fathers. Luther and many other reformers were heavily influenced by his writings as well as Thomas Aquinas.

Also when refering to the teachings of The Church, Catholics tend to see them as coming from the Pope and Cardinals. The Orthodox see The Church as a consensus of everyone from the Fathers to all the Orthodox today led by the Holy Spirit of course. One thing that led me away from the RCC was the

2 Peter 1:1-11 is our view of Salvation. Yes we are predestined and were are also told to make every effort to confirm our election, so I see it as a mix of Calvinism and RCC. After the schism the Western Churches got hung up on different on bits and pieces of scripture and couldn’t focus on the whole of it. Hell’s Unicorn described Orthodoxy view on soteriology as “primitive.” I couldn’t argue with that. The icons are our family album. The Orthodox way of venerating them is no different than the way we greet each other at Church because we are made in His image. Sometimes I think Orthodox tend to argue too much like Catholics, IMO.

I found there is less of a tendency for people to ask favors in prayer and more to accept God's will and his mercies.

Here's a quick rundown: This is my understanding of the differences between RCs and EOCs. The EOC’s interpretations of scripture takes its roots from the Desert Fathers from the 1st few centuries. There is less of a legalistic and more mystical take. God is not narrowed down to judge, brother, creator etc. He is all that at once. John the Evangelist who reclined his head on Jesus’ chest at the Last Supper, fell to his face in awe and worship in his vision in the Book of Revelation.

Fasting and works are not to fulfil a penance, it is to be closer to God (Actually your questioning about fasting led me to Orthodoxy from the RCC) My understanding of salvation is that I am saved, and my works are to unite me with God-- more to bend my will towards God's.

I was an atheist, then RC, and now EOC. The discussions here helped lead me to the EOC. My first intro to Faith Alone was fellow Marines who had sex with anything and said they were save by FA. That's how I argued it. I think what finally got to me was when some RCs were trying to say the good thief was saved by an act of faith because they didn't want to say he was saved by faith. It wasgrace through faith, and that would have saved me hundred of argumentative posts.

I'm Done

I'm so sick of seeing "Support our troops" or even worse "Fighting for our freedoms."

During a trip to Word of Life for a week of camp I saw a bumper sticker that said "God bless our troops, especially our snipers."

Usually, when trying to prove a point about war, I don't discuss the troops. I'll probably continue to do this. One teacher I had was open minded to listening to what I had to say about war, but had a father who had served in
