Never mind that they can't get away with making the major party nominee He Who Must Not Be Named in the general election. We must vote for the name we hear most, because electability. Never mind the purpose of the primary is to carefully home in on the best your party has to offer. We have to go with the most talked-about before many states even vote because horse race and unity and picking winners and stuff.

I disagree. It's in no way an appeal to us. It isn't just that even as he pretends to kiss our butts, he insults us early, often and deeply. But it's more pernicious than that. So, the fact that RINOs have done every bit of their share in moving us a long, long way away from the Constitution--more, really, because they're less likely to be resisted by the people who hired them--is just one of those shit happens in the real world things. Trying to actually do something about it, like listen to libertarians and nominate decent candidates, instead of nominating whomever CNN whines about the most as usual, is not important. What's important is blaming libertarians when CNN picks you a loser like McCain or Romney. Never mind that you fell for it and nominated the guaranteed loser, instead of listening to those "smug" people who know better and trying it their way for the first time since 1924 (when we had people were in office, people were free, and the U.S. economy was making the world wealthy).

Something rubs me the wrong way about religious exemptions: I would not put myself in a position where I appeal to someone else to have the final say on whether my relationship with God is sincere or not. If I were going to challenge this, I would sue not as an employee, but as a patient. They are requiring a medical procedure, that makes me a patient. That's the way I see it, though, and the courts might not agree. Still, it would make for some interesting arguments during the case.

Supposedly, you're supposed to get involved early enough so that the GOP can't put a d-bag RINO as their candidate. It takes a lot of effort. Often it is fruitless. But it seems to me to be neither more nor less effective as pontificating on an internet forum for a decade or more. The only reason I haven't jumped on the "haha-look-at-the-stupid-voters-thinking-that'll-change-anything" bandwagon, is because I have even less faith in people to go the same route our forefathers went, when it was no longer possible to change things through petitioning.

Those who went off the reservation may therefore appeal to you, in light of the fact that you will die of starvation eventually. But if our cavalry ever finds them, they will die sooner. Therefore, it's important that you stay on the reservation and hope you die later, rather than sooner." "Voters of Team Red. You know this empire is crumbling. We are the ones tearing it down. But it's important that you keep nominating whomever CNN tells you constantly that they hate, or Team Blue might cause the empire to crumble faster. Therefore it's important that you not try it their way and see if He Who Must Not Be Named, if nominated, might win the election, because then the empire might not outlive you." Stay on the reservation, Republicans. That way, even if you win, you lose.

It's not about convincing libertarians that the same stupidity that got us into this mess will get us out. It's about making people who aren't conservative, but self-identify as conservatives, afraid to "leave their lane" and do something in their own self-interest for a change. God forbid they stop depending on CNN to tell them who CNN hates the most, and act on their principles for a change. They might discover doing the same thing over and over, hoping for a different result, isn't as much fun as they thought it was Team players will throw the game time after time after time, if you've buffaloed them into thinking scoring real points will lose your Team the game.

What are you missing? How about the fact that Trump was absolutely in on the COVID scam from the get go and it could not have happened without his aiding and abetting? GOF research stopped under Obama. It restarted when Trump was president. And no. I do not "regret not voting for Trump." Why? Because I actually understand the constitution and can count. There was no way Trump would lose my state with our without my vote. The GOP primary was a mere formality so I voted Tulsi Gabbard. That was also a protest vote. I voted Jorgensen in the general. No regrets. I have no problem with those who voted for Trump either. That just wasn't me.

Trust me, this is all about 2024 to the OP, yes. No, I don't really have an argument against states pushing back against .fedgov, especially considering the way I talked about Montana and their ban on employer mandates. No, I have no objection to temporary relief at all. I'm just not any more interested in which Red Flock Shepherd is more Alpha than you are. Am I concerned DeSantis will get too much credit for this? Not really. I'm more concerned that people seem to be confusing this with conservatism. I'm concerned that no matter how dire the situation becomes, Team Red will never be able to pull their heads out and realize that only their principles will save us. Their New Alpha Shepherd won't even try, any more than Reagan or Trump did. I learned from history, and I'm fucking sick of repeating it. That, too, isn't complicated. People just insist that the same stupidity that got us into this mess will get us out. What was that definition of insanity, again?

I'm having trouble following your logic. What I think your concern is that not that what Desantis is doing is actually wrong, but that you're concerned he'll get too much credit for it? This is about 2024 for you? I do not care! What is your proposal to getting monoclonal antibodies to the patients in states where Biden is throttling that? If you don't have an answer for that, then you don't really have a valid argument. Slavery itself is a crime against humanity. Getting treatment for the people in your state is not a crime against humanity. And you have not even given a rational explanation as to how Desantis move "hurts" other states. Quite the contrary. The "free market" of supply and demand dictates that manufacturing increases based on increased demand. If Desantis gamble pays off, and early results shows that it is paying off, then other states are likely to go directly to the manufacture. Guess what the manufacturer will do at that point? Increase the supply! Really, this isn't that complicated.

It's worse than just "imperfect." It's absurd. There was nothing at all humanitarian about maintaining slavery. And I have yet to see you or anyone else in this thread say anything that moves us an closer to "cutting out the cancer."

Yes you do. You're just smart enough to see the simile is imperfect. Yes, it's a humanitarian thing to do to help those who are suffering treat the symptoms. It's a more humanitarian thing to do to cut out the cancer. One provides temporary comfort. The other restores hope.

Listen to our prayers, for foxes have arisen seeking to destroy the vineyard whose winepress you alone have trod. I just started looking at the Constitution Party platform since you recommended it awhile back. There are some good things in it, but there are also some concessions to statism that I think are dangerous despite the fact that I'm moving away from strict anarcho-capitalist libertarianism. They support regulation of "obscenity", which isn't really defined, they support some drug restrictions, and they are careful to show their respect for agents of our currently illegitimate state (veterans), as well as condemning attempts to cut their benefits despite the fact that they are paid out of our pockets and for participating in unjust wars for an unjust system.

The Constitution Party isn't all bad, and I might support some of their candidates, but I don't think there is any party I can support on principle (LP is pro-choice so not an option) I respect strict theonomy even though I'm not sure I agree with it yet. I don't think anybody believes what I'm starting to believe these days.

OK, so my question is, with relations to Galatians, how is it that you can call Roman Catholics on this board "brothers" even though they add works to the gospel just like the Judaizers did? How is adding baptism as a requirement in order to be saved any different than adding circumcision as a requirement?

Out of curiosity, how do you interpret Galatians 1:8-9 and 2 John 9-11?
