I am not an expert, but the experts that I have listened to say the scope you want is a NightForce -- they are expensive (about $1,700+) but you get what you pay for. Optics are first rate, the scopes are really durable and hold their zero. Reports are you can take the scope off, beat someone over the head with it and it will still hold its zero. :D Worth looking into...

.308 is designed for hunting. 30-ought 6 is designed to have a trajectory that tumbles slightly down so that you can hit a target over a hill without having to fully see it...if you know what to do

If your rifle is for self defense and combat, forget it. Scopes are useless. Get an m1a scout for close quarters to mid range(preferred), or fully loaded model for distance, with classic picatinny peep hole sights with lateral and vertical adjustment for wind and distance accuracy. Forget scopes...., red dot is garbage. Your rifle is only as good as your instinct.

This hurts. :( I meet Shem in 2008 at Ronstock, quite a character. His presence here keep us side-by-side in battle over the years. I saw Shem again at LPAC 2013, we talked for hours then and I was completely blown away with who he had become. He was a bright star. It really does hurt to know he is no longer with us. My heart goes out to his family and friends. He will be missed. He will not be forgotten. Bryan

Exactly, unfortunately this thread is too full of the opposite by multiple people. Stick to facts and logic, tear down bad argument. Don't attack other members. Closing topic. Will reopen if there is a compelling reason.

The argument for violation of libertarian principles is fraud. People pay for a product that Disney advertises in a carefully crafted manner to suggest a lavish, relaxing experience. Even right on the front page of the hotel's website they say you can "Bask on the white-sand beach"- no mention of alligator hazards in the marketing literature. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/grand-floridian-resort-and-spa/# Their web site even has a link for "Guest Safety" - and there is no mention of alligator hazards there either. IMO, the concept of having a sandy beach as a feature of the resort was a bad idea. Someone at Disney just thought about how they could image and market this without thinking about the real world consequences.

What a joke, and another grand play by fb. Does anyone think this is only going to be used as "evidence"? No, you can bet this will be used to better target ads at users. Go to a Home Depot and you'll instantly get ads for Lowes, etc.

I'll answer. It depends upon what we consider "better". If we look strictly at what their policy's are on paper then I'd have to go with Trump, but within the context of who will leave the country better off, I'm not so sure, I would have to be psychic to know that. A deep concern that I have with Trump is that he'll further the Bush / Obama war doctrine while compounding it with new population divides to the point where the country will be consumed in domestic and international terrorism / warfare that can help catapult us into WWIII. Conversely, it wouldn't be hard to see Hillary continuing Obama's doctrine of socialism, even kicking it into a higher gear which would likely sink the country financially, cause another great depression, have us default in our international debts leading to global turmoil. I'm not too fond of either of these outcomes, which I see as reasonably possible. Others can disagree, which is fine, but this is my view and why I can't put my name in support of either. I respect others who choose differently.

look closely at the flame from your bic ronin... see the blue part at the bottom? a blue flame indicates proper combustion.. and does not give off much light. a yellow flame gives off light, and indicates incomplete combustion... a flame is rapid oxidization, rust is slow oxidization.

If someone can't handle an open debate on facts and logic and just want to have a safe space where their poorly constructed views will always be unchallenged then I'm sure they won't want to stay here. There are good reasons to not support Trump but some anti Trump people seem to want to latch on to false views, those will be challenged here. The site is anti Trump, it's certainly OK for members to be. What's not OK is breaking the guidelines which includes insulting site members, as you have done. Don't try to act like a victim, as if you are being persecuted for your political views. That's not what the site is about and it's certainly not what I have discussed with you. Insulting members such as calling others trolls proves nothing, has no intellectual value, doesn't educate readers, just causes escalation of bickering and lowers the level of site discourse to the point where everyone loses. Hence, it is not allowed.

I just thought it was funny, that nobody had thought to do that before! standard electronic ignition controls. use rectification for flame detection... meaning. a flame will only conduct DC, it will not conduct AC power. the ability to conduct electricity. is the reason why an ordinary flame qualifies as a plasma. I was taught by gifted men back in the 80's sir. :) "Plasma" starts where the Psychometric Chart leaves off.... (above critical pressure) the Psychometric Chart is a measure of true power. (enthalpy)

how funny is that! Yes. an Ordinary Flame meets the definition of Plasma. we mere humans do not fully understand either, combustion or Latent heat transfer. knowing how to use something.. does NOT mean that you understand it. http://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2016-06-14/nasa-sets-fire-in-space-for-science

the last time that I looked... our best guess is that 96% of everything is plasma. if such is the case. then "matter" or "mass" (the other 4%) is probably a byproduct of plasma dynamics. if the sun is made of plasma, then it follows that plasma can produce magnetic fields. I would think that mere H2O production would be easier.. than that. yes. methinks that the earth is on fire friend. :) do you have evidence, that it is "still cooling off" ?

Negative sir. HB34 is proof that, at least some of it is pixie dust. :) if I am correct, and we are in fact hurtling though space, riding on a flaming ball of plasma... would that prove to you that God has a sense of humor? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9poCAuYT-s
