I'm not religious but I think for the most part it instills good values and builds strong communities, that's been my experience. Some people get screwed up from pretty much every religion. Born-again protestants seemed more cultish to me growing up, but they probably overall had a positive impact compared to being non-religious. My biggest issue with people who are not religious is that so many end up worshiping the government, vote leftist, push cultural marxism and are anti-families. The vast majority of people here are against Utah being a sanctuary state, but the problem is Mormons are taught to be so kind and accepting that it can lead to leftist tendencies - the reason being that you aren't really supposed to discuss politics at church, so people confuse the teachings of being kind with government mandating they can take your money and give it to other people rather than being personally charitable. On the other hand, Mormons believe that the Constitution is a sacred document that was heavily influenced by God, so for the most part people seem to get it.

I dunno, most of the state outside of SLC is pretty good.. I would even say pretty libertarian. It's mostly the city that has the huge problems. Marilyn Manson was from the bible belt, so maybe more strict religions do produce a more extreme rebelliousness in some cases.. but the Mormons are a lot different now than they used to be and it's becoming a problem. They are so nice and accepting of outsiders, but they used to have very high standards for themselves. Now they are accepting to a fault, even among members. They say it's ok to be LGBTQ and be Mormon, you just can't act on it, for example.. that didn't used to be a thing. They also allow tattoos and piercings now (besides female single ear piercings), I guess they don't recommend it, but they don't do a lot to discourage it, they say if you want tattoos or piercings you should consider the costs, but if you really want to do it then pray about it. They used to be the fastest growing religion in the world by % in the 90s, I think since then they have started to shrink in numbers. That's part of why they have lowered standards.. There is also legitimate debate over whether Utah is a sanctuary state for illegals, which is becoming a huge problem. Illegals know Utah is a friendly state for them to come to.

No, it was in Riverton. I moved to Utah over a year ago, but not the woke part, I'm in a very conservative area. If you read my post carefully, I'm also a state delegate. I still consider myself a Californian tho... not changing my location. I dunno if I'll ever move back, we'll see.. but the conservatives here are happy to have me cuz SLC is a nightmare and the state could easily go purple in the next 5-10 years.

That said, this is an important message for Utah. Salt Lake City is woke as shit.. it's worse than California, except maybe San Francisco or something.. I've seen WAY more transgender people and woke rainbow flags visiting family there than I've seen my whole life living in progressive areas in California.. and most of the Republicans in those areas have no backbone. They just want to be polite and accepting. You go out to the rural areas and it's a completely different story..

Trent Staggs is running for Senate in Utah to replace Romney. If elected, he will be in our top 3 best Senators in the Senate - Rand Paul, of course, Mike Lee and Trent Staggs. Whether he is better (very possible..) or worse than Mike Lee is yet to be seen. But that is 2 out of 3 of our best Senators from the state of Utah, which I hope will help make up for Romney in the long run.. Staggs is currently Mayor of Riverton, UT. He made waves back during COVID when he ordered local police not to enforce ANY COVID mandates. He's also very good on foreign policy and leans heavily libertarian and to the Constitution. Staggs was the only one running against Romney for the Senate seat before Romney bowed out voluntarily. Now there are a dozen others running against him. However, I think he may win the nomination. I am almost certain he will be on the ballot in May, pending his performance at the Utah Republican Convention of delegates in April. Based on some polling I have seen from delegates, I think there is a strong chance he will win first place at the convention. This will guarantee he will be on the ballot in the primary. He needs 40% to get on the ballot, so he doesn't have to get first place.. I was at a town hall a few days ago with him and Matt Gaetz. It was at a packed high school auditorium and when Staggs asked who in the crowd was a state delegate, it looked like nearly half the audience (including myself) raised their hand.

I think it's a tincture you are referring to rather than pills, and I think it just boosts testosterone, which gives males more energy and ability to grow muscle when working out. I am not aware he sells pills that are advertised to do what you say. But keep giving out misinformation, it really helps your case and doesn't at all poison the well.

How much is your car worth? When you take it to the dealer to trade up, do you tell them that it is worth more than you think it is because you are negotiating? Is that fraud? Should you be fined? Is there an exact value that your car is worth? Who determines that? The entire notion is complete bullshit. The "others" didn't "get away" with anything, that's just how business works, always has. That's what Kevin O'leary was explaining on CNN. The banks did their own appraisals, approved the loans and got paid back. It IS ABSOLUTELY a sham, the Judge didn't allow some witnesses to testify because they were going to testify in Trump's favor. The Judge belongs in prison.

Trump could easily negotiate away the easement by building a park in the city for $20 million. The easement means almost nothing in the grand scheme of things.

A compromise would be the Judge and prosecutor don't go to prison. A good compromise would be they only go to prison for 5 years.

Less homeless will live in Florida, less immigrants will move to Florida, they will move elsewhere and Florida will have far less problems than the other states that voted for all this socialism and immigration crap. I don't like this law in a libertarian society, but our society is already fucked. Sort of like El Salvador. Bukele got rid of the gangs by arresting everybody with gang tattoos. Horrible law in a libertarian society, but their society was already fucked. They went from the country with one of the top homicide rates in the world to being one of the safest in the entire western hemisphere.. I think it's even safer than the US now. The people love him, their economy is growing and he isn't, that I'm aware, attacking political dissidents or taking away the rights of innocent people (besides, possibly, a few people who had gang tattoos who may not have committed any crimes). In fact he is giving them even more freedom by legalizing bitcoin as legal tender.

You sound like a woman. Nothing is ever good enough. That isn't good enough for you, to have somebody in power who wants to shut down all these agencies, in this day and age. You need somebody in power who wants to shut down everything, even though probably 99% of the population disagrees with you. Thus, an impossible task. You fight anybody moving in that direction, furthering the impossibility of ever having a truly small, Constitutional government.

Sounds like fake news. Why are you reading CNN? At the rally, Trump was talking about China building auto manufacturing plants in Mexico. Trump said he would put a 100% tariff on those cars. A lot of foreign auto manufacturers build right here in the US. Those would not receive any tariffs. The reason cars are so expensive right now is largely due to government regulations on automobiles, which apply to imported cars. Forcing environmental standards and electric vehicle standards, as well as cash for clunkers which was an Obama era policy.

Food Fight!

by KerriAnn on 11-26-2013 at 12:15 AM
It was seventh grade. I was 12 years old. Lunch time at school. I don't know how it started, but a few minutes into lunch in the school cafeteria and a food fight erupted. It was total chaos. It was pasta day, so there was a lot of noodles and sauce flying around.

I don't remember all of the details, but I do remember the feeling that my friends and I experienced immediately after. It was fun, yes, but the feeling that stuck with me, a feeling I have rarely felt since, was a

Just Let go

by KerriAnn on 03-19-2013 at 11:53 PM
One of the most important lessons I have learned in my life so far is Letting Go. Letting go of the illusion of control.

I don't remember how old I was exactly, maybe my early twenties, but I remember the feeling of my eyes suddenly opening to the fact that I have no control over any other person. It was startling, and although you might assume that it was a depressing realization, in fact, it was a huge relief! I suddenly had a very large weight lifted off my shoulders. Realizing
