The US steel industry was purchased by the banking cartel in the 20th century. THEY moved it to China after Davie Rockefeller went over there and laid out the deal to the handful of the rulers of China and Ronnie bestowed Most Favored Nation status on the Communist Regime. They moved the bulk of US steel production in 5 years, a mammoth undertaking requiring years of planning. They arranged for bonds to raze the abandoned plants and build shopping malls in their place so that no one could revive the plants and compete and so that the new consumer economy would have plenty of outlets for their Chinese imports. Blue collar workers were blamed. A bullshit story that the banksters repeat to death to deflect from the truth. These are the same guys who created Love Canal and killed Lake Erie, the Hudson, etc. Not only are they doing it in China, that poison is actually raising air pollution on the west coast of the US. The FedGov gave GM $40 billion and they sped off to China to build new plants there with the cash. Small business? "Use your Credit Card".

OK, please… please, don't hand me the "1%" establishment slogan and equate that bracket to "the rich". Of course the graphs are rigged. What's 20% of 25 trillion? So, yeah, no way your numbers reflect the truth about "the rich". If I pay myself $300,000.00 a year while my penthouse (office), maid service (commercial office cleaners), cooking staff (caterers), drivers (24 hour limo corporate service), travel expenses (corporate jet, pilots, crew and maintenance crews), lawyer (corporate legal staff), accountant (corporate accounting services), health care (hospital I am the director of through corporate donations) and assistance staff are paid through deductible corporate expenses, am I a 1% tax payer? It's a rhetorical question. Your question is simply not relevant to your own argument.

So, the usual suspects take the bait with the usual irrelevant comments. I can't believe I even have to go here. The 1%??? Seriously? I guess when you're talking referencing a billionaire, you have to spoon feed the definition of "the rich".

Parsing a single sentence for 150 posts. Hole EEEE Funk. What exactly is it that you guys "get" with this silliness? The "rich" don't pay anything. Plans are irrelevant. If y'all's alternative is Gary Johnson, roll out the goods. If it's hiding under your bed with a keyboard telling everyone here how smart you are… well, sheesh, guys… that's pretty sad.

Greenspan told RP in the House on one occasion in answer to RP's query that "We can absolutely guarantee your Social Security payment, no matter what. We just can't guarantee what it will buy." Why is it worse for a candidate for pres to bring this to the light of day than it was for RP to put it into the public record on numerous occasions from 1997-2012? Yeah, this^^ is what's funny, jm. Seriously. Oh noes, I are a stooped Trump supporter and now I are afraid of his interview distortions and everthink!

jm, Cruz has been over for months if not from day one. Stop spreading hate over it. Time to move on, no? Trump is for a FED audit. Hopefully the hate-ooze isn't so thick as to say we are against the idea? And, please, pretty-please, can the "Yeah, but he's lying about that" bah-low-knee. No one would ever pick that subject to lie about, especially Trump. Clinton will push to audit Trump. Trump is anti Yellen. Clinton will coronate her and kiss her ring on her 1st day. Trump is anti FED interest rates manipulation. As a developer, he loves low rates, but he acknowledges they caused a huge bubble and it's time to deal with it. Clinton will explain why rates have to go negative.

The MSM offers the ether pipe and the usual RP members line up to take a huge hit. Taxes: The actual interview by the prototypical MSM weasel, Chuck Todd, is enough to make one puke, ala the RP years with Russert trying to gag RP with earmarks or racist newsletters. Todd: You say tax cut, then you say more taxes. Trump: No, Chuck, that's not what I said. I said more tax than my proposal because of compromise, but my proposal is still the largest tax cut of any other candidate by far. (this was the 3rd time he said it throughout the interview but, little weasel Chuckie, intrepid reporter that he is, just wasn't grasping the thought correctly)

Hi Bryan, Thanks for the effort. I must say that I respond in kind. I find it offensive in a person to respond otherwise. I apologize if that doesn't suit you personally or the rules or the vocal minority. Some of these guys get a free pass to snark puke all over other members in the name of Ron Paul. That's just as disgusting as supporting Clinton to me. I don't support Trump. No rallies, no donations, no signs, no emails. Rather, I have for months simply stated that he's the nominee, Never Trumpites, agent provocateurs, GOP royalty and various other talking monkeys notwithstanding, so get used to it and stop with the cartoon negative campaigns. It's my opinion that RP is obviously butt hurt over how Trump dominated his son with tactics that are appalling to RP, but I'm disappointed that Ron talks publicly about how his views "overlap on several issues" with Bernie freakin' Sanders of the Democratic National Socialist party, but refuses to say the same about Trump regarding Audit the FED, non-interventionism, NATO, debt, Yellen, etc. I feel that although a Bernie Sanders and/or Clinton will never change their agendas one iota, Trump is open to many things a guy like Ron Paul could impart to him instead of the rather silly things RP has said about Trump.

And, most positively yes, it goes without saying… political debates, arguments, whatever they're allowed to be called these days… have zero to do with my openness to friendship. I made many friends traveling the USA in support of RP. LE is one of them and I dislike seeing her mugged by thugs. So, sue me.

I believe gold and silver to be just 2 important resources. If I had any say, the US currency would be backed by all of its valuable resources. America has a couple trillions of tons of coal (50% of the world's known reserves), vast timber (17 billion cu ft/year), gold (8,000 tons, minimum and the 4th highest producer with 240 metric tons/year), silver, oil (on and offshore reserves of 1.2 trillion barrels), natural gas (6th in the world with 272 trillion ft^3) water (3rd in the world by total renewable water resources), iron ore (3.5 billion metric tons, 5th in the world), copper (world's 3rd highest producer), rare earth metals (2nd to China) etc. In this age of super computers, such a system of currency backed by a basket of resources would be a snap and something I've thought about since the 90s after learning the debt based currency FRN scam.

Just what the hell are you libertarians afraid of? You're new, so: 1) Read the RULES. 2) Do NOT promote anything that the rules, as WE interpret them, forbid. 3) Free Speech is a huge NOT on a liberty forum. 4) Observe ONLY… no likes or dislikes will be tolerated. 5) Feel free to visit the local supermarket daily and dredge any Never Trump articles you see in the Inquirer and post them here with impunity (or, whine like a stuck pig if opposed). 6) When the Redcoats kick your door in, remember, the King sets the rules. You have no say, rebel.

Hah. That's ALL he's saying, ALL day, EVERY day. Funny how he's cool with chasing down anything Trump and bashing it as Trump support while hiding behind whatever crusade it is that he claims, as needed, per post. To the other inane posts in this thread, the sub forum is "2016 Presidential Election, GOP & Dem" Trump is the headliner for this sub forum content. What is the dysfunction that spawns this behavior dictating that posting about Trump in this sub forum is illegal while beating posters about the face and head with a baseball bat? Start a "I Hate Trump/Never Trump/Latest Trump Hate In The News" sub forum and good luck with that. I'm interested in Trump because he's the only candidate who advocates a FED audit. The battle with the FED was RP's #1 issue. Ron served on the House Financial Services Committee. I have saved every debate he had from that position with Greenspan and other FED officials. He used that venue to educate but, unfortunately, was never able to accomplish a FED audit and an audit of the gold in Fort Knox, nor any of the other Federal Reserve/currency Bills he introduced over the years.

Some of us have only hung out in the Econ forum since RP retired. For us who have that distinction, The Zipster does not provide "the other side". Firstly, we have the MSM for that and we are all too painfully aware of their side for their prolific delivery from every weeping hole of a media outlet. We can't even go to a dentist appointment anymore without seeing "the other side" of US econ "news" on a TV screen in the waiting room and above our heads while in the dentist's chair. Zip googles MSM and FED headlines, charts and data and posts it here as the truth against everything all others post. He's a FED cheerleader. He wants members here to swallow the Yellen report, hook, line and sinker, he "proves" the FED owns no gold, he insists the member banks have a reserve requirement, he insists that the FED has no owners but that all thousands of member banks own the FED, he defends the profession of the FED being that of the benevolent neutral crusader for truth, justice and the American way, etc., etc., ad nauseum. Since RP has retired, his single most important agenda for 3 decades+, AUDIT, THEN END THE FED, to many of us, is his legacy and still the only important first step to prosperity. Constantly blocking that effort with FED propaganda is just annoying. Zippy has no relevance either way, he's simply annoying in his consistency as a shill for the establishment. The fact that his demeanor, as it may read to anyone, in his delivery of bovine excrement should have any relevance at all goes to how far America has devolved from freedom to enforcing hurt little girl's insistence on a speech outline enforcement.
