The Liberal's are taking the stance that just because somebody did something wrong before doesn't make it right now. I agree however that Trump will never get impeached. If the Justice Department went after the corrupt Left, Trump would get reelected in a landslide victory.

That's a good point. So far, the trend has been Trump's associates getting the steel bracelets, not the Clinton's. Though of course there's plenty that donate to both parties to curry favor as earlier posts show.

Swap agreements can be made with any holder of a currency, not just "the US" (whatever that means). Any entity holding dollars or yuan or whatever can enter a swap. I don't know if that's what they're doing, just pointing out that it is possible that pure currency speculation via derivatives can be a reason. I've mentioned before that the Chinese have been quietly pledging T issues for dollar "loans", which they aren't paying back, and presumably are using to fund purchases here, though you won't find that publicized anywhere. There's a lot going on behind the scenes.

Mr. Hornberger will be visiting the local LP meetup on Dec 11. I plan to ask him to do a short video interview so if anybody has any questions they'd like me to ask him, post them here. In the absence of your questions, I'll ask him some of the kind of questions that media won't ;) devil21 doing video interviews of candidates? I'm not sure the world is quite ready lol.

The solution is to remove all the protections given the lender and take the government out of the student loan business. Allow student loans to be included in bankruptcy. Student loans should be more stringent than a home or auto loan which can be repossessed. Students should have to qualify for the loan. If there are no jobs in a particular field the loan should be denied. If a person doesn't have the SAT score denied. Put lenders on the hook for the loan and the problem will go away all on its own. If a person wants to go into a field that is not proven to be sustainable then the borrower would need a cosigner and collateral. Government does not want to fix student loan crisis, it thrives on the non-dischargeable debt and the notion that every person should go to college. This guarantees people are enslaved to the government before they even get their first non-existent job.

China issuing dollar bonds can be for multiple reasons. A common reason that sovereigns issue foreign currency bonds, aka borrowing in foreign currencies, is pure derivative speculation, hoping to profit in currency terms from movements in the foreign currency to domestic currency ratio. Perhaps China is making a huge bet on a dollar devaluation? After a dollar devaluation, they'd enter a currency swap agreement to exchange the dollars back out for a different currency and lock in the currency profit. Any way, point is that dollar borrowing doesn't mean China is relying on the dollar for any domestic operations in dollars. This kind of stuff is the bread-n-butter of derivatives speculation.

Like I said before... withdraw some troops here and from there, only to strategically redeploy over there. Those military recruitment commercials on TV all begin with “exciting career”.

Correction: a very small, 2,000 mile strip of land. Which in many cases separates hundreds of acres, businesses, and entire communities. But you would not know that, because you have not taken the time to actually visit those areas for yourself. I have, and have first hand knowledge.

Yep. When Obama tried it, every republican fought tooth and nail. When trump proposes the same exact thing, every “republican” jumps on board. Except those who actually live near the border and want to keep their land/business/farm intact who are now required to hire attorneys and file law suits. And then there is you who believes we must sacrifice private property and liberty in order to protect and preserve it. Strange, huh?

I do not know any down and out poor folk in Mexico, with dirt floors in the living room, who wants to work and provide food for his family who thinks, “gee, let me walk a couple of hundred miles to America, cross the border, and overthrow the government“. To the contrary, I know quite a few who opened up businesses, employ people family and others, and complain about the taxes they find out they have to pay. Sure, there are those who may take advantage, but mark my words I see more American white chicks soaking the system by having more and more babies down in Section 8, who live a mere block away from the Help Wanted signs up and down the street. Dude, you watch too much TV, as in MSFoxCNN. Get out in the real world and see for yourself. And quit this kick about growing the Fed.gov once and for all.

No. The constitution was written to centralize power. The BoR’s were amended, without provision to prosecute violators of it, in order to persuade folks to ratify it. The constitution had nothing to do with protecting individual rights, freedom from government intrusion, etc.

It is not a constitutional right, it is a natural right. The 2ndA was not for the people, but for government to keep their grubby hands off. Where the writers of the BoR failed is that there is no provision for violators. See 18 USC 241 and 242.

I am not importing anybody. Repubs/dems/The single corporate government creates the conditions not only for foreigners, but lazy non-principled Americans as well. I do not believe in or condone punishing the guy who lives across the street because the guy in the car drove by and threw crap out the window. I believe in getting to the root of the problem, and teach my offspring the same. You can use whatever justification you want to expand the Fed and make you feel better, just leave me out of it. Because once precedent is set, on to the new wave of government “solutions”, loss of freedom and even bigger debt, as if it wasn’t astronomically high enough already.

You sure about that? You sure you want to stick with that? You really do just make it up completely as you go along. The fact that China has inked trade agreements with Brazil, for example, in their respective national currencies is easily verified by 3 seconds of web search.

Anyone who supports indefinite detention & defies the Double Jeopardy Clause supports the PA. And AGAIN: He was not here illegally when the immigration authorities grabbed him. He has family here in the US- all legal- who will take care of him. BTW- the man is ill & may not last long anyway. The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution states that no person shall “be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb.” The double jeopardy clause bars second prosecutions after either acquittal or conviction, and prohibits multiple punishments for the same offense.

Most people vote “podium rhetoric”, and have not a single clue about the inner workings of the central bank, or read 10 pages of the USMCA. After all this time, most people have not read or understand the ramifications of the “Patriot” Act. How about the next H.R. up for vote? Ask your neighbor to list in order the simple 10 Bill of Rights to test my theory.... in fact, leave the correct order out. Referring once again to post #136... collectivist indoctrination at its finest.

“The right to life is the source of all rights—and the right to property is their only implementation. Without property rights, no other rights are possible. Since man has to sustain his life by his own effort, the man who has no right to the product of his effort has no means to sustain his life. The man who produces while others dispose of his product, is a slave.”
