You are too damned blind to even see it with all of the hatred that you have; The very Bill of Rights is literally being shredded and destroyed by the likes of you and every other "republican", democrats included. I gave a literal example of Private Property Rights. Of course you will use that against me just to try to prove a point.

Oh yes, I agree wholeheartedly. But it is the "solutions" that the dumb-a$$ people are screaming for, which does nothing but perpetuate the abuse this representative government is giving to us. If you can't see that , I don't know what to tell you.

That CONstitution that you love so dearly was written for a moral people. The problem is, a "moral people" we are not.

No, A/F, we don't have the "moral high ground". Not when people scream for the "solutions" that you propose, which is most if not all of the dumb-a$$ "republicans". I don't want any part of Marxism. I don't want any part of your Fascist solutions either.

Spend spend spend, that'll fix it! Yeah, you keep talking about civil war here and all the people who are screwing you. Not only will I be up against the Marxists, but the Fascists who are screwing me too.

Mises Wire Ryan McMaken 04/18/2024 During the 2016 and 2020 campaigns, Trump's opponents in the Democratic party (and elsewhere) often pointed out that Trump's protectionism hobbles private markets and the economy overall. Yet, the allegedly anti-protectionist Biden administration has done virtually nothing to end Trump's protectionists policies put in place from 2017 to 2020. The motivation is unclear, but it is possible that the Biden administration realized that protectionism is a useful political tool. These policies offer a way of punishing opponents, rewarding allies, and pandering to voters. Now that it's election season, the pandering side of the equation is in full swing. Biden this week called for "sharply higher U.S. tariffs on Chinese metal products." Appropriately, Biden included this new spate of protectionism in what Reuters calls "a package of policies aimed at pleasing steelworkers in the swing state of Pennsylvania." Biden's pandering will likely bear some fruit, politically speaking. Protectionism remains popular. But, as Henry Hazlitt put it, voter support for raising tariffs is "the result of looking only at the immediate effects of a single tariff rate on one group of producers, and forgetting the long-run effects both on consumers as a whole and on all other producers." Those who are incapable or unwilling to examine policies beyond their most short-term effects are easy targets for protectionist rhetoric.

+ REP - this is exactly what I've been saying all along. So what you are doing by voting Trump is giving your consent that it is ok if a republican does it, so long as a democrat doesn't. This is what destroys liberty/freedom, and any sense of fiscal responsibility. The 2-party duopoly at its finest. And people still see a need to "choose" between the two.

By Jonathan Newman Mises.org April 20, 2024 Ludwig von Mises’s Economic Policy: Thoughts for Today and Tomorrow has become quite popular recently. The Mises Book Store has sold out of its physical copies, and the PDF, which is available online for free, has seen over 50,000 downloads in the past few days. This surge in interest in Mises’s ideas was started by UFC fighter Renato Moicano, who declared in a short post-fight victory speech, “I love America, I love the Constitution…I want to carry…guns. I love private property. Let me tell you something. If you care about your…country, read Ludwig von Mises and the six lessons of the Austrian economic school.” The “six lessons” he is referring to is Mises’s book, Economic Policy: Thoughts for Today and Tomorrow, which was republished by our friends in Brazil under the title “As Seis Lições” (“The Six Lessons”).

The entire world temporarily put off wars in order to globalize the plandemic. There is the M(ilitary)IC and the M(edical)IC, the latter being the agenda to gauge citizen compliance, and to transfer wealth to the most corrupt pharmaceutical corporations. And it worked. There is nothing wrong with the border - other than the fact (that is never mentioned by Trump, or either party for that matter) that Fed.gov is funding the human trafficking with tax dollars. Once the funding stops, the border would return to normal, and there would not be all of this screaming and hollering for Police-State "solutions". In fact, Trump created out of thin air yet another enormous federal one called "Operation Warp Speed", something no true conservative would ever do.

Massie is tops, no question there. But: I am sick and tired of the "but there is nothing about securing the border", as if that is the desired result. The already closed border does not need securing. What should be addressed, and eliminated, is the funding by the fed.gov that is allowing it to happen. Once the funding stops, the numbers coming in will reduce back to normal, while preserving our own freedoms, and there will not be any need for Police-State solutions.

You're already doing it by posting it online. I would also talk to other parents, and if they don't know already, inform them, and then head over to the next school board meeting. Not to talk to the school board, but to ridicule and embarrass them, and put them on notice concerning their "jobs". Schools are to teach, not to diagnose and treat, and certainly not to hand over your children to the government. Kids should never be in a public school to begin with.

The media is the 4th Branch of Government. Trump (D) was put in, in order to get the most expensive things passed by "republicans" that would not have passed under democrats. That's why the 2-party system - one hand feeds the other. Every 4 to 8 years they switch off, so that Amerikans wish, hope and believe things will get better, only they never, ever do. And you still fall for it, like the very good citizen that you are. Hey SS, are you "voting" again this year? TRUMPED by TRUMP should be the new slogan, don't ya think?

I thought your counterpoint was plain and clear, as to a reason why dollar unit use is up. Rising DXY has shown it lately. DXY is merely a measure of supply and demand of a currency. What the chart doesn't account for is that gold is shooting up in tandem with the dollar, which is usually an inverse relationship. So what does Sowdry's chart, along with DXY rising -and- gold rising tell us? It tells us that a dwindling supply of dollars are being used to buy hard assets around the world. Aka dollar dumping.

When I was like 19 I had a job delivering pizza in Scottsdale, AZ. There was this one regular customer who lived in a 4-plex apartment that had cinder block privacy walls with wooden gates around the front doors of the units. It was about 10 or 12 paces from the gate to the door. Like I said, this guy was a regular, but when newbies got the order for the first time, everyone in the store would kinda giggle and smirk and warn you not to look back as you were walking to the gate on the way to your car. The guy would always come to the door in a robe, pay you and tip really well. However, if you were a guy, while you were walking toward the gate to get back to your car, he'd stand in the doorway and wack off watching you. Female drivers he just paid and ignored. There really are some strange ones out there.

Story but the Mexican claims that cartels are sending people into US gun shops to purchase strictly semi-automatic civilian versions of military style weapons literally reek of bullshit. With their criminal connections cartels could and likely do easily obtain selective fire military versions on the international market, and do so at a better price. Hell, REAL AK 47s, M-16s, and a wide variety of other military arms are ubiquitous and cheap on international markets. There’s no need to buy the civilianized versions from gun dealers.

Absolutely one of the best movies of the 70s. Also, back in those days it was a bit difficult to get my dad to go out and do things like see a movie. This is one of only 2 movies I ever convinced he and mom to come out and see with me, on my dime, of course. Up to his dying day you could occasionally find my dad quoting his favorite Jackie Gleason line from this one and laughing hi ass off. His favorite line? This one: On another related topic, in those days I lived East of the Mississippi where it was illegal to sell Coors beer. Everyone used to talk the stuff up like it was the frickin Nectar of the Gods or something. Well, we moved out west in 79 and I finally got the chance to try it. Why ANYONE would go to the trouble, expense and risk to smuggle that piss water is beyond me!

And for my part I may have overreacted a bit. Apologies for that. And I agree with you on the drone bit. I was hoping to see that too. But overall, I did still find the vid interesting and entertaining, and was really hoping that somebody around here could add some pertinent info. Like I said, I'd never heard of "Mel's Hole" and I get a kick out of these kinds of mysteries. Would get an even bigger kick if one of these damn videos or TV shows actually DID explain the damn things tho! Cheers brother.

Holy shit! Why the hell are you guys so uptight about one stupid video? It's no better or worse than hundreds of "unexplained phenomenon" shows aired on TV over the years. I'd never heard of this "Mel's Hole," but I HAVE heard of Art Bell so I figured maybe somebody else had heard about it. Most likely just another yarn spun by some nutcase, but no worse than innumerable tales about Big Foot, the Bermuda Triangle, the Loch Ness Monster and on and on. Lighten up, will ya?
