A true free market would drive costs and quality according to supply and demand, competition,,, it would not let government pick winners and losers.

It always costs more to do things a second time. I wonder what level of insurance they purchased. Insurers could face losses of up to $4 billion after Baltimore bridge tragedy

Interesting debate. But the root problem was never discussed, which leaves people more inclined to choose-a-side based on emotion rather than fiscally-responsible and pro-liberty solutions. As long as the federal government continues to fund the NGO's and DHS on the tax payer dime, the people will scream for government police-state solutions. Catholic Charities, Jewish Family Council, the Lutherans are involved. What they do is they go to the border and take these asylum seekers from the Department of Homeland Security, . They’re paid by DHS to provide aid. So there’s an incentive to bring in more people.

Yep. I'm amazed that most people still can't see that no matter which guy is elected, the end result of their campaign pledges and policies all fall remarkably well into the Agenda 2030 and Great Reset plans. Trump may as well say "NO MORE FOREIGN CARS FOR YOU IF I AM ELECTED". And then his astroturf shill army applauds, followed by his braindead supporters. Same applies to Biden. It's so obvious. They're taking turns selling the A2030/WEF plans to the masses. eta: prime evidence of astroturf shilling from Swordy below. Watch the slow twisting of the narrative....

Best way to control the opposition is to lead it. Leaders of anti-trafficking orgs engaging in trafficking. Anti-addiction and rehab orgs headed by drug users. Etc. That ensures that nothing really gets done and the operations generally continue undisrupted.

That transcript clearly shows that Kaplan is covering for Sullivan & Cromwell^^^^^ as they deconstruct the fraud they built. I wont go as far as to say SBF is a patsy but he sure as hell is a scapegoat, while the law firm runs away with huge amounts of fraud money and the political money laundering is swept under the rug. Seems like most of these SDNY trials are essentially limited hangouts.

Interesting timing on the heels of the Tupac case arrest. Not that any of this should surprise any one, though. Rappers have been saying that gay activity is rampant in the industry for a long time. At first I thought "oh well Diddy is screwed" (no pun intended) but I think this is another clean-up operation to destroy evidence, videos, etc before it leaks out somehow. Same with Epstein/Maxwell and others. These people were involved in a lot more than just freaky sex and "human trafficking". They were involved in drug and arms dealing and were basically intel assets who could get away with a lot because of their ability to travel unrestricted on private jets and use their celebrity status to get access to most anywhere. eta: Jigga soon.

I can't speak for all areas or countries, but from what I observe in Mexico and a few other countries (setting aside the personal choice do drugs or not), most of the violence occurs between the drug lord factions, not civilians and tourists. My position is similar to Occam's Banana in Post #753.

Some minor delays, but not the End of America the World as Biden would have you believe . GM, Ford will reroute Baltimore shipments after bridge collapse "There are a lot of other areas that can pick up the slack like the New York Harbor and all the way down to Savannah, Georgia", he said in an email. "It will take a while for the situation to resolve and to begin operating normally again, so definitely there will be delays in deliveries of goods."

Yeah, stuff like that, I don't pay attention to. I see your point though; discerning libertarians/anarchists see past all of that and cut right to the matter, but others, not so much, which can pollute the mind.

Reason has very valid and concerning points. The important thing is, though Javier is doing a great job so far , one should never rely or count on a leader no matter how well intentioned. Hopefully Javier provided a kickstart and the people will keep the momentum going with or without him. Keep the conversations going, never let your guard down, and hold them accountable.

Ron Paul Institute by James Bovard Mar 28, 2024 Last December, one of the most intrusive provisions in the federal statute book was set to expire. Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) authorizes the National Security Agency to vacuum up trillions of emails and other data. A bevy of bipartisan members of Congress called for radically curtailing those nullifications of Americans’ privacy.

By Jacob G. Hornberger The Future of Freedom Foundation March 28, 2024 By now, I’m sure that most Americans have their own personal stories about TSA abuse. The U.S. government’s takeover of airport security after the 9/11 attacks has made flying an unpleasant experience. This past weekend, I was flying back to Virginia. A TSA agent took my carry-on suitcase aside and opened it up. She then pulled out a container of talcum powder. She spent around 5 minutes intensely examining it and then testing it. Up to that point, it was simply a matter relating to the talcum powder. No agent was hassling me ,and I was just waiting for the testing of the talcum powder to be completed. I nonchalantly and innocently said to her, “So, I’m curious as to whether it’s bad to bring talcum powder with me.” Well, that was obviously a wrong thing to say. I think you’re expected to keep your mouth shut and not question anything they do.

The Empire Slowly Suffocates Assange Like It Slowly Suffocates All Its Enemies By Caitlin Johnstone CaitlinJohnstone.com March 28, 2024 The British High Court has ruled that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange may potentially get a final appeal against extradition to the United States, but only within a very limited scope and only if specific conditions are met. The court ruled that Assange may appeal only on the grounds that his freedom of speech might be restricted in the US, and that there is a possibility he could receive the death penalty. If the US provides “assurances” that neither of these things will happen, then the trial moves to another phase where Assange’s legal team may debate the merits of those assurances. If the US does not provide those assurances, then the limited appeal will move forward.

By Gary D. Barnett March 27, 2024 “Still another of the frauds of these men is, that they are now establishing, and that the war was designed to establish, “a government of consent.” The only idea they have ever manifested as to what is a government of consent, is this—that it is one to which everybody must consent, or be shot. This idea was the dominant one on which the war was carried on; and it is the dominant one, now that we have got what is called “peace.” ~ Lysander Spooner, No Treason: The Constitution of No Authority To believe or support any document that is claimed to be a contract agreed upon by all, and in perpetuity, without a single signature by any held to its decrees, represented by only a few criminal rulers, ‘interpreted’ by only nine appointed criminal ‘supreme’ court judges, and enforced at the point of a gun, is not only ignorant, arrogant, and asinine, it is completely insane. But in this nation-state 235 years ago, a few rich mercantilists and corrupt politicians falsely referred to as the ‘founders,’ in the dark of night, behind locked and closed doors, in total secrecy, drafted what is referred to as ‘The Constitution,’ and claimed it bound every single individual in the country, and would be binding on every single individual born thereafter. What nonsense is this?
