Another "poll" lol And yet there are people yelling and screaming "immigrants have illegal guns!" As long as the opposition who hate guns don't have guns, and the liberty loving people have guns, perhaps the odds really are in our favor. We just have to be a little more cohesive and stop pitting against ourselves ;-)

Ron Paul Liberty Report 7/17/2019 Did you ever build a house, and when it was completed say to yourself: "I have a great idea. I should build a house." Of course not!

Too bad you and I don't see eye to eye, otherwise I'd invite you over to pick up a tip or two from us and then head to the biker bar for wings. What you still do not get and probably never will is, anything government tries to do is welfare. All they need to do is shut off the spigot. Short of that, count on government to grow and grow. I don't care who is president or what party it is.

+ REP I keep waiting for that realization to happen, but fat chance around here anymore. You'd think they would want to hold the party of "R" feet to the fire, certainly when they had both houses. ALL welfare needs to end.

Someday there is going to be that tipping point. And we'ze ain't looking for government to help. Here's how kind I am: I don't think I should burden you with taxes.

Maybe when some of you grow up a little like that brave young man below and stop looking to "government help me save me!" It is amazing how people know their rights are being taken but do nothing to take it back. All I hear is around here is "blame someone else", and "let government/other people take care of my own personal problems".

A government, state or local, may form and legislates its own affairs. But when the idea that a state, or local, may choose to violate ones Natural Rights and therefore you are free to move to someplace else, someday there may be no place else to go. Which is why my signature is essential and the foundation of all other rights. By your analogy, "free speech zones" in "public space" would be allowable by state or local government. That is a very dangerous precedent to even suggest.

I disagree. My Natural Rights override Article 1, Section 10, as well as anything any state constitution, statute or ordinance may attempt to restrict.

Ron Paul Institute Wednesday July 17, 2019 Written by John W. Whitehead Since when have we Americans been expected to bow submissively to authority and speak with awe and reverence to those who represent us? The constitutional theory is that we the people are the sovereigns, the state and federal officials only our agents. We who have the final word can speak softly or angrily. We can seek to challenge and annoy, as we need not stay docile and quiet.”

I have not commented much about the scandals going on lately, other than to try to put the pieces of the puzzled together. Every administration, left and right, seems to dominate the "news" with "sex". What party does it does not interest me, I feel that personal issues should stay out of lime light, and that we should focus our efforts on bills being proposed in the house and senate, which the media never covers to the degree that it should. Today I was asked if I heard about what was going on in the news. My reply was, yeah, I heard, but I think the courts should handle it and we should be focusing more on government and legislation. Of course, they continued talking about the sex scandals anyway. I was getting tired of the conversation, so I tried to shift the topic to something else. I asked them if they heard about the biometric upgrade the TSA/DHS was moving forward with. They never heard anything about it, so I elaborated. A couple of the folks said that they were OK with it because it is for everybody's security, and then one of the women made the comment that she thinks all children should be micro-chipped so that we could track them wherever they go - for their security. The light bulb went off, and I immediately thought to myself about the U.N.'s stated goal of 2030 to have every man, woman and child with biometric identification, and also the contracts that are being signed with our government to upgrade/overhaul the entire biometric system.

No worries there, Smytie. You may get your way, so the consensus is. And then in a few years you'll do what every other person has done for well over a hundred years: wonder why oh why, and not take ownership.

At that point, they can either help me with my landscaping for a decent wage or something to eat, or get the hell off of my private property where I have the deed. You saw the gun rally I attended. I need not say more.

America is a place. It used to be a beacon of liberty, or it was intended to be. History shows that central planners had better ideas and created this "centralized" Constitution, and then the "central" bank that followed. Into nation building around the globe, fast forward to 1971 where the dollar was officially no longer backed by gold, and the further decline of the frn. Politicians on both sides of the isle take MIC lobby money. We fund the UN, IMF, write up contracts (not signed by me), such as NAFTA and other crap, which stifles the true free market. Do I want America destroyed? America is a place. It does not make decisions. What I would like to do is throw out all the bums in the White House, save 3 or 4, so that government will stop stealing my money, giving it to freeloaders and restricting my freedoms. I do not want or need biometric id. I do not want or need to be TSA'd, nor should I have to pay a stranger some sum of money for a "permit" because I choose to rewire my basement, certainly when I already have private insurance in case anything were to happen. The problems are not with America. It is with people who have crap for brains and don't even realize where we are headed. New World Order. It will still be called America, if that's what makes you happy. And the NWO doesn't give a flying flip if human beings are immigrants or not - ALL people will be controlled no matter where they are in the world. And THAT is the distraction.

I have near exhausted all attempts to explain my position. It is either not good enough, or folks are too brainwashed to want to even try to understand. Perhaps look up Reagans speech, maybe you'll understand. All countries have borders, like cities and states. Having borders does not mean forcefully taking private property and giving it to the Fed, or building walls to restrict the freedom to travel freely. Open borders, as you call it, is nothing more than preserving that right to freely travel. The problem is, this government continues to steal money from people and redistribute to any/all who want it. That is not the borders fault, or the people who own that land - that is the fault of the politicians who want to control people. I make no position or opposition to borders. I am against a useless, costly, senseless physical wall which will instill into people that the government has any right to restrict any of our freedoms. Sacrificing one right does not preserve another right. Sacrificing one right will lead to other rights being taken away, because that is the only way to enforce it.
