So, more soon-to-be-broken promises (assuming Trump is the next POTUS) from the king of same. As I recall Reagan made the same promise, and broke it.

Swordsmyth tries to stay clear of topics such as that. He has yet to even respond to the Federally-Funded Nationwide "Stop and Frisk" with complete Local LEO Immunity. Which would involve creating yet another Federal Agency.

Right :tears: How many crack-proof safes were cracked? How did the unsinkable Titanic sink? Too bad Trump didn't help educate his followers so that they could in turn contact their reps. Instead, he Pied-Piper'd "republicans" into buying everything that he had to sell. Don't blow smoke up my ass, Swordy, it doesn't work.

Everything is about money. But let's suppose you are onto to something: He never stood in front of the podium explaining how bad the bills really were, in order to educate his dedicated "followers" and get them to contact their representatives. Instead he repeatedly threatened Massie, even to the point of wanting to throw him out of the republican party.

Whenever it began: 1. If Trump didn't know about it, he is not qualified to run this country, the contract/business person that he is. 2. If Trump did know about it, he didn't do anything to correctly to address it. Either way it's a fail. Either way, his "solutions" require more government intervention. As to your post above, it was the bills that he signed into law which actually funded them.

Good grief. Is that how he's going to roll "Stop and Frisk" out, and pledge “to indemnify all police officers and law-enforcement officials"? Take federal tax money and leave it up to the states? Don't the states already have a right to refuse federal money? Without defunding and eliminating the federal agency altogether , I'm not sure how many states would actually refuse "free" money, which they can already refuse now if they wanted to.

Mises Wire Soham Patil 06/22/2024 In our modern world, most states are democracies or at least call themselves “democratic.” The adoption of democracy is hailed as one of humanity’s greatest achievements. Once upon a time, humanity broke out of the shackles of monarchies and has never looked back since. Nowadays, all citizens in democratic countries are free and safe from despots. Except, that is far from the truth. Democratic systems have been around for a long time. Ancient Greece comes to mind as the most prominent example of democracy in antiquity. While modern democracies are wildly different from the ones in ancient Athens, they are still susceptible to the pitfalls applicable to all democracies. Democracies violate freedom of association. Proponents of democracies often argue that everyone is given a vote and that this equates to fair and just representation. However, this binds the citizenry into the social contract since they are forced to abide by the results of the democracy even if they did not consent to a government. Simply giving everyone a vote is not valid restitution for forcing them to abide by the rules of the state. This hasn’t stopped democracies from attempting to manufacture consent to their social contract by claiming that a right to vote is sufficient as consent. If four thieves sneak into a house and then outvote the homeowner to transfer possession of the home to them, the result could hardly be termed just. Democracies aren’t infallible and do not justify decisions as moral based solely on the will of the majority.

It actually kind of is. It is litmus test of what people will actually support. Even knowing that the two are preselected, people still feel the need to get behind and back one of the preselected, even though both are there to cater to the elite.

I don't put blame on Globalists or Crony-corporatists. I put blame square on the people who contribute and allow it to happen. Who am I to argue whether people want a Constitution-Free Zone lined with military, nationwide Stop and Frisk, free government issued cards and places to stay, whether in a luxurious hotel or a MIC for profit Holding Cell. The only way this nation will collapse is to drain us completely broke, while stripping ourselves of the Bill of Rights, the very thing the border is supposed to signify. And that is what the Globalists want - for us to do it to ourselves.

Anti Federalist , I honestly don't pay attention to any of that. What I will pay attention to, is if/when we begin to support and defend our Bill of Rights, each and every one of them, and stop funding groups to transport them. Short of that, I really don't care. But def on the rest, as long as there's wings!

I don't believe they care either way where people actually live. But they do use it as a politicized tool, which enrages voters on both sides to literally beg for government "solutions", and drains tax-payers on both sides of their money.

Folks like spudea can't wait to "legalize" them so that they pay their "fair share" to grooowwww the government. Then there folks like Anti Federalist and Swordsmyth who will be on stand-by to shoot-to-kill on site. Me, I would just let them earn a buck, spend money on stuff to support businesses, and not think twice if their wages weren't taxed at all. But, that idea isn't too popular here in 'Merika.

Approximately 47% of the land in the U.S. is untouched/undeveloped/unimproved. There are no businesses, homes, schools, farms, easements, roads, airports, military, etc. You could of course make a positive case for the existence of BLM and/or other, even though I am opposed to that. Pinko-commie nonsense, huh? lol Don't confuse "open borders" with the closed border that we have today. Of which where people are being funneled for processing. And I am forced to pay for. Any notion that immigrants by the thousands/millions simply walk across the border without processing is statist nonsense. I would just as soon they didn't get a "free" government card and instead fend for themselves.

sam1952 To expand on my previous post, the U.S. "border" in my mind is meant to signify that we defend and protect the Bill of Rights, regardless of what other nations do.

^ The bolded part. ^ Quick and easy: nationalism, communism, to me it's all the same. Square that away, and maybe we'll get somewhere, fiscally and yields the most freedom.

I will clarify myself as well. I am one of those "anarchists" which Statists hate so much. I don't subscribe to deeming human beings "legal" or "illegal", conjured up by government and their interventionism. That said, I do hold to contract rights and property rights. Unless one owns an actual deed to a piece of property, you have no right determining whether I, or some immigrant, travel freely or not on public land. I don't care to get into that constitution either. Aside from Natural Rights all human beings] outlined in the Bill of Rights, I have no use for that socialist document. "They hate us for our freedoms." It is Amerikans who actually hate us for our freedoms. See 4th and 5th Amendments for this exercise.

Lengthy prison sentences for illegals who stay and are found. STATIST/Government Intervention. Leave them alone unless a violation to person or property has been committed. 4. Offering cash for them to leave. On my tax dime? The rest we round-up. Leave them alone unless a violation to person or property has been committed.

Whoa, take it easy, AF. I've already come to terms that every election season, we slider further into tyranny, not away from it. Amerikans no longer want to be the beacon of liberty, nor to set an example of what a free and prosperous nation is, nor to stop funding a lot of the crap that is happening. If you want to continue to promote emulating other countries , who am I to stop you? I say ratchet it down, man. That tax-paid national Stop and Frisk, walls, shoot to kill, ID everybody to track and differentiate them from us, and whatever else you want to throw at it, I've already moved some of my investments around. I can't help but to say that the further we slide, the more folks gravitate toward it. So again, have at it bro
