"These are the times that try men’s souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like Hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives everything its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as freedom should not be highly rated.” – Thomas Paine
Yeah. I suppose you're right. As it is, I'm enthusiastically curious about some of Trump's moves thus far.
That dude might turn out to be another Reagan before it's said and done. Executively speaking.
Now let me get out of here before I get pelted with fruit.
Been there done that.
Didn't last nearly as long as I would have expected.
But was pretty cool to watch for what it was.
Probably wouldn't pay to do it again.
You don't want front row seats.
Okay, thanks for clarifying. But I stand by my position. Words mean things. When we allow the statists and assorted stenographers and propagandists to Newspeak the words we use to understand our everyday world into oblivion, they effectively control us. A very Orwellian sort of dystopia.
The word "libertarian" is quite clearly defined in "The Libertarian Manifesto" by Rothbard. The word "Libertarian" is defined in the LP platform and assorted official documents. Just sayin'.
This should be handled by families and churches not state edicts.
Liberties, all of them, should not be regulated.
When you're injured by something I do, when you're a VICTIM... take me to a court before a jury of my peers to discuss the matter.
Else all these regulations, fatwas, and edicts should be nullified at the personal level by all through acts of individual peaceful resistance to the legitimacy of such usurpation of authority.
I watched the video. I must say it sounds really encouraging. Even commented saying just that. Maybe Trump will continue to look to the Judge for advice, in fact I wouldn't be surprised at all. But IMO he won't nominate him.
I don't care about people saying "mean things." What bothers me is when people start a law suit over something they know isn't true and cause the accused to spend money they should have to spend, defending themselves.
It should be, those who start a frivolous law suit of this type, should be liable for the same damages they are claiming against the accused, should the accused be found not guilty.
Thanks, I might try that next spring. :)
Oh, and the foam was caused by all the CO2 bubbles from the yeast in the primary, the first batch foamed up and ran over the top. (Had to do a second attempt with an Antifoam (Defoaming) agent.) That worked out pretty well. Still have the wine aging in the cellar.
I would also be interested in the recipe as I just made up my own with hibiscus tea and sugar. Had a terrible problem with foam so I had to add something to keep the foam down. If you know a better recipe, please let me have it. :)
Yeah, I like cops. They keep the streets safe. Get over it.
“Look, I think, he’s thinking of many different things as he prepares to become the president of the United States, and things that sound like the campaign are not among them,” Conway, who is now on the Trump transition team, said in her interview.
