Princeton University Students Decry Famous Feminist Play Because It Assumes Women Must Have Vaginas See if you can follow this: a 1996 play called “The Vagina Monologues” that was built around fifteen monologues from women in the 90’s was viewed as problematic by the two female students who directed a recent production at Princeton University because the play assumes that women must have vaginas. Perhaps that’s not hard to follow if you’re sufficiently woke, as directors Sarah Varghese and Evie Elson are. They even retitled the play “The Vagina” Monologues; the event description stated, “People of all genders have vaginas and these monologues represent a small segment of that population.” According to The Daily Princetonian, the directors offered their own written and performed prologue which took issue with the assumption that vaginas were essential for female identity; they felt the original production was excluding members of the trans community. Varghese stated, “Our definition of what it means to be a woman, and to have a vagina is not the same thing. It never was.” Oh.

Sheriffs who don’t enforce Washington’s new gun law could be liable, AG Bob Ferguson says In an open letter to law enforcement, Ferguson wrote that he was confident the wide-ranging law was constitutional and would withstand court challenges, but that he was concerned about threats — mostly from county sheriffs — to not enforce the new law. County sheriffs who say they won’t enforce Washington’s new, stricter gun laws could be held liable if they refuse to perform enhanced background checks and someone who shouldn’t buy a gun is able to buy one and uses it in a crime, Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson said on Tuesday. In an open letter to law enforcement, Ferguson wrote that he was confident the wide-ranging law was constitutional and would withstand court challenges, but that he was concerned about threats — mostly from county sheriffs — to not enforce the new law. At least 13 county sheriffs have said they won’t enforce the law, Initiative 1639, which voters passed by a wide margin in November.

by Thomas Knapp Posted on February 19, 2019 Washington’s political establishment went berserk when US Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) publicly noted that US-Israel relations are “all about the Benjamins” – slang for $100 bills, referring to money shoveled at American politicians by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). Omar was accused of antisemitism – immediately by Republicans, shortly after by members of her own party – and bullied into apologizing. She may or may not be prejudiced against Jews, but even if she is, that wasn’t her real offense. Her real offense was publicly mentioning the irrefutable fact that many members of Congress take their marching orders from a foreign power’s lobbying apparatus (an apparatus not, as required by law, registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act), at least partly because those marching orders come with promises of significant donations to those politicians’ campaigns. AIPAC itself doesn’t make direct donations to political campaigns. But AIPAC and other pro-Israel lobbying groups like Christians United For Israel punch well above their weight in American politics, largely by motivating their supporters to financially support and work for “pro-Israel” candidates in general elections and help weed out “anti-Israel” candidates in party primaries.

I will be intellectually stimulated. Congratulations Mudd Slinger! Based on your application, your new, very important profession under the Green New Deal will be Philosophical Round Table Chair and your new salary will be $194,669/yr. Philosophical Round Table Chair: $194,669/yr Common Have you ever known anyone promoting Plato's philosopher-king model to have envisioned such a scenario with themselves as not one of the philosopher-kings? Anyone smart enough to be able to read and regurgitate words from a book they read while they were stoned in college deserves nothing but the best. As chairperson of the philosophical rountable at an esteemed university (which will of course be free to all), you'll be able to shape the future leaders of tomorrow, today!

Denver to encrypt police radio traffic, blocking the public — but not news organizations — from listening The change is expected as early as April as department switches radio technology Denver police radios crackled Wednesday afternoon with a variety of calls for service: a father calling on a combative son, teens smoking marijuana in an alley, a car crash. Soon, however, the public will no longer be able to tune into the daily goings-on of Denver police as the department plans to encrypt all of its radio traffic in the coming months, though news organizations will have access if they sign agreements with the city. Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen said the switch could happen as early as mid-April, with the department joining dozens of other law enforcement agencies across the state that have opted to block access to their communications.

After decades of arresting people for smoking cannabis, as a part of a “certain training program,” Maryland police officers could soon have free access to the herb. On January 31, Maryland Senator Cheryl Kagan proposed MD SB383, a bill that would give police officers access to free cannabis from dispensaries in the state. Details as to what the cannabis is used for is not specified. However, the text of the bill did mention that it would be both for personal and training use. It offers few details on the specifics of the so-called training program or what it would be training officers for. The text of the bill reads: Establishing the Law Enforcement Purchases Account within the Compassionate Use Fund; authorizing a law enforcement representative to obtain a certain amount of medical cannabis and medical cannabis concentrate from a licensed dispensary at no cost for use during a certain training program; requiring a dispensary or dispensary agent to ensure that all medical cannabis and products containing medical cannabis have a label affixed to the product that warns against the operation of an automobile or machinery while using the product; etc. The bill would give police officers access to the Compassionate Use Fund, a unique fund set up in Maryland to help low-income residents battling serious health issues afford medical cannabis.

I know. He went crazy (literally) on me a year ago. As for the the drunk accusation that I mentioned-- that was for people in generaI. I have more respect for someone who posts something crazy and admits to being drunk vs someone claiming to be a teetotaler. A day of drunkenness is better than a lifetime of crazy.

I got cut off in the rep message. When I ask someone if they are drunk, I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that the craziness they post is temporary they aren't insane.

That doesn't surprise me a bit. After all Matt has always been allowed to be here and they censored free speech in 2012 under the guise of appealing to Republicans.
