A German is on holiday in the US, getting wasted at a bar. He walks outside and starts taking a leak on the side of the building. An American woman walks by, looks at what he's doing, and says "Ugh, gross." The German man looks up, smiles, and says "Danke"

Though Sirhan admitted at his trial in 1969 that he shot Kennedy, he claimed from the start that he had no memory of doing so. And midway through Sirhan's trial, prosecutors provided his lawyers with an autopsy report that launched five decades of controversy: Kennedy was shot four times at point-blank range from behind, including the fatal shot behind his ear. But Sirhan, a 24-year-old Palestinian immigrant, was standing in front of him. Was there a second gunman? The debate rages to this day. ALSO: Why Trump delayed release of secret JFK files But the legal system has not entertained doubts. A jury convicted Sirhan of first-degree murder and sentenced him to death in 1969, which was commuted to a life term in 1972. Sirhan's appeals have been rejected at every level, as recently as 2016, even with the courts considering new evidence that has emerged over the years that as many as 13 shots were fired - Sirhan's gun held only eight bullets - and that Sirhan may have been subjected to coercive hypnosis, a real life "Manchurian candidate." His case is closed. His lawyers are now launching a longshot bid to have the Inter-American Court of Human Rights hold an evidentiary hearing, while Schrade is hoping for a group such as the Innocence Project to take on the case. A spokesman for the Innocence Project said they do not discuss cases at the consideration stage. In the final court rejection of Sirhan's appeals, U.S. Magistrate Judge Andrew Wistrich ruled, "Even if the second shooter's bullet was the one that killed Senator Kennedy, would be liable as an aider and abettor." And if Sirhan was unaware of the second shooter, Wistrich wrote that the scenario of a second gunman who shot Kennedy "at close range with the same type of gun and ammunition as was using, but managed to escape the crowded room without notice of almost any of the roomful of witnesses, lacks any evidentiary support." - - - On June 5, 1968, Kennedy had just won the California Democratic presidential primary and delivered a victory speech to a delirious crowd. At 12:15 a.m., the 42-year-old candidate and Schrade left the celebration, walking through the hotel pantry en route to a news conference. Schrade was a regional director of the United Auto Workers who had helped Kennedy round up labor support, and Kennedy had singled him out for thanks in his victory speech moments earlier. Schrade, now 93, still recalls the scene in the pantry vividly.

An old sailor from New Hampshire walks into a bar and orders a beer. The bartender notices the guy's head is the size of a cue ball. "I got to ask, sir," says the bartender. "What happened?" The old sailor sighs and tells him, "My ship hit an iceberg and a mermaid rescued me and promised to grant me three wishes. For my first wish, I asked to return to the States. My second wish was to have all the money I would ever need. Finally, my third wish was to have sex with the mermaid." "That doesn't sound too bad," says the bartender. "Then what happened?" "Well," sighs the sailor, "mermaids can't have sex, so I asked her if I could just have a little head... ."

Families of MK Ultra Victims File Lawsuit Over Government Mind Control Experiments Families of people who had their lives ruined by controversial MK Ultra mind control programs have filed a lawsuit seeking compensation and an apology from the government. By John Vibes - May 27, 2018 Most of the government mind control programs that exist are kept secret but over the years, there is one that managed to draw the attention of the public. That program was a government project called “MK Ultra,” a CIA operation that involved extreme methods of mind control that were tested on US and Canadian citizens. The projects began in the 1940s and ran until the 1970s when the details of the experiments were exposed because victims began speaking out about the conditions that they were subjected to. There were 150 “sub-projects” within the MKU program, many involved advanced brainwashing techniques using psychological drugs, sensory deprivation and electroshock therapy.

Honestly, this is the first time in my life I've ever wished I could vacation in Hawaii. I'd love to go see what it's like to be on the island when the volcano is erupting. I read an article where an old guy was bemoaning the effect on tourism. He said in the old days, people would fly in just to see it. They'd buy postcards and burn the edges by dipping them in hot lava, then mail them off to friends. Now everybody is afraid.

"4 A Pilot Narrowly Avoids the Planet Venus" Not sure where this "Venus" became part of the incident. What a dumbass, by the time you can visually determine you have a conflict, an airliner at altitude can not maneuver away from it. Unless it is a slow convergence. Passengers on an Air Canada flight that made a steep dive after a pilot became confused following a nap are suing the airline for $20 million. The class action lawsuit was filed Monday by the Toronto law firm Thomson, Rogers. The suit alleges that passengers on AC 878 en route from Toronto to Zurich, Switzerland, on Jan. 13, 2011, were "subjected to violent forces as the aircraft was suddenly put into a steep dive." While Air Canada initially said the dive was due to unexpected turbulence, the Transport Safety Board of Canada said it was actually caused by a pilot who had just woken up from an extended nap.
