I have always been opposed to global trade agreements, managed trade, and have been in favor of tariffs and excises as the only constitutionally permitted form of taxation the fedgov can collect. An "America First" trade policy...MAGA if you insist. You can see my posts going back ten years on that. And, gee, guess, what? It sure seems to be working.

From Drudge; Swamped in Inflation, Venezuela Will Cut Five Zeros from Currency https://www.wral.com/swamped-in-inflation-venezuela-will-cut-five-zeros-from-currency/17774600/ MEDELLÍN, Colombia — Faced with nearly incomprehensible inflation — 32,714 percent as of Wednesday — Venezuelan officials thought they had a solution: They changed the color of the bank notes and increased their denomination. Then they said they would lop off three zeros. And when that didn’t seem enough, they announced they would cut off two more. The tactics have left Venezuelans like Yosmar Nowak, the owner of a coffee shop in Caracas, convinced that there is no solution in sight and that the government cannot even bring down the price of a cup of coffee, an eye-watering 2 million bolivars.

December 6, 2016 Omarosa Manigault has penned a passionate essay defending her former Apprentice boss, Donald Trump, against allegations of racism and sexism, and revealing how the president-elect was there for her after her brother’s murder and the sudden death of her then-fiancé, actor Michael Clarke Duncan. “I’m black, female, and Donald Trump is my friend,” the former reality star wrote in The Hollywood Reporter on Tuesday, December 6. “In my experiences with him, he has only been professional. I am aware of the perceptions. But he is open-minded: He does not judge people on their gender or race. He judges them on their ability to do the job,” she wrote of the real estate mogul. Addressing claims of sexism, Manigault said Trump’s companies have more female executives than his competition and pays them more, and pointed out his daughter Ivanka Trump “is about to take over the company.” https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/omarosa-defends-donald-trump-hes-not-sexist-racist-w454202/

Oh BULLSHIT. Trump didn't do one damn thing to the Ron Paul Revolution and the Revolution was never made up of people sitting on their asses bitching and moaning on an internet forum. Trump isn't one of THEM and he's proven himself open to good advice; like the advice he accepts from Rand. Too bad when Trump was asking for recommendations for Cabinet positions that some of the holy ones at the top of this movement couldn't come off their high horse and give them to him. Instead of sitting back and pontificating about how bad his choices were after the fact.

While friends and admirers mourn the loss of investigative journalist Jen Moore — who was found dead in a suburban D.C. hotel room Monday — a haunting final interview has surfaced where Moore details the Clinton case she was working on at the time of her suspicious death. Moore, an advocate who investigated abused and trafficked children, had been in the process of investigating allegations by a 26-year-old man that — as a young boy — he was sexually assaulted by Bill Clinton and pimped out at private sex parties attended by other D.C. elites. Moore, who was often called “Task Force as a nickname,” was interviewed about the Clinton case on July 13th by YouTube and radio journalist Farmer Jones. One month later, Moore’s she was dead, her body found by employees at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Washington, D.C. East – in Capitol Heights, Maryland. The investigation is ongoing. Autopsy results were not available on Wednesday. During the Jones interview Moore expressed dismay and frustration that despite her sharing the details with Homeland Security agents in charge of child trafficking investigations, no one had reached out to her to follow up about the details of the alleged victim. Or the alleged suspect. Moore died of an apparent seizure. Police said the death was not the result of suicide. Just four weeks before her death, Moore filed details of the alleged victim’s claims with the Department of Homeland Security, detailing the allegations against Clinton. Moore contacted Homeland Security beginning on July 6th through July 9th, records show. A week later, she contacted the FBI with identical details about the victim and the shocking allegations against Clinton. FBI sources report no case has been opened on the evidence supplied by Moore. Homeland Security never contacted Moore to follow up after she shared details with the agency.

I don't think anybody is questioning that. I have the liberty to call these people nuts, and should have the liberty not to have anything to do with them. That is not the case. And that is what the problem is.

A Pentagon whistleblower was stripped of his security clearance and demoted after complaining about questionable government contracts with both FBI informant spy Stefan Halper and a company headed by Chelsea Clinton's "best friend" for whom then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arranged meetings, reports the Washington Times. Adam Lovinger, a Trump supporter and 12-year veteran of the Pentagon's Office of Net Assessment (ONA), filed a whistleblower reprisal complaint with the Defense Department's inspector general in May against ONA boss James Baker - who hired Halper, 73, to "conduct foreign relations" and kept the details of the spy's contracts "close to the vest." Baker was appointed chief of the ONA in 2015 by Obama Defense Secretary, Ashton Carter. At that point, Lovinger wouldn't have known was a spy working with the FBI/DOJ on operation "Crossfire Hurricane" - the code name for the Obama administration's counterintelligence operation against the Trump campaign. In an internal October 2016 email to higher-ups, Mr. Lovinger wrote of “the moral hazard associated with the Washington Headquarters Services contracting with Stefan Halper,” the complaint said. It said Mr. Baker hired Mr. Halper to “conduct foreign relations,” a job that should be confined to government officials. ... In the fall of 2016, as the election loomed, Mr. Lovinger sent emails to Mr. Baker and other officials at the Office of Net Assessment complaining about the entire outside contracting process. He also said the office failed to write papers on long-term threats presented by radical Islam, China and Iran. And in September 2016, Lovinger sent an email directly to Baker summing up the perceived problems, which reads in part: “Some of our contractors distribute to others their ONA work for personal and professional self-promotion,” wrote Lovinger. “Another part is the growing narrative that ONA’s most high-profile contractors are known for getting paid a lot to do rather peripheral work." “On the issue of pay, our contractors boast about how much they get paid from ONA. Such boasting, of course, generates jealously among those outside the club, and particularly from those who have tried to secure ONA contracts unsuccessfully.” "On the issue of quality, more than once I have heard our contractor studies labeled ‘derivative,’ ‘college-level’ and based heavily on secondary sources. One of our contractor studies was literally cut and pasted from a World Bank report that I just happened to have read the week before reading the contractor study itself. Even the font was the same."

Nah, I'm not going to jump on that bandwagon. I've had more than a couple of people call me "enemy of freedom", "racist", "sexist", anti liberty and so on because of nothing more than adjusting my outlook based on current factual realities. Capt. USA is no big government statist. If he doesn't want to acknowledge this progress, for whatever reason, that's his right.

Trump has cut regulation, he has done his level best to slap down the EPA (the alphabet soup agency I am convinced is the single biggest threat to liberty), he has made former trading "partners" take notice that trade deals are no longer going to be one sided globalist affairs, he has done his level best to repeal Obamacare, providing EO relief when the establishment GOP sluts refused, in spite of his bluster he has stood by the second amendment, he is doing his level best to appoint constitutionalist judges throughout the federal judiciary, he has made peace overtures to NK and to Russia, thereby averting war that the establishment, represented by Hillary, wanted so badly...just to name a few things off the top of my head. I'm not cheering him on, I'm giving credit where it's due. As a whole, from a freedom perspective, we are better off, factually. To think Hillary would have done any of that is irrational.

Four planes were forced to make emergency landings in Chile and Peru on Thursday because of bomb threats issued to Chile’s civil aviation authority, the authority said in a statement. Two of the planes were operated by LATAM Airlines and two by Sky, a low-cost Chilean airline, the aviation authority said. Sky also reported that a third plane it operated was prevented from taking off because of a bomb threat. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) and the airlines, inspections of three of those five planes found no bombs, and at least one plane was later allowed to resume its flight. For four of the five flights, Santiago, Chile’s capital, was either the origination or the destination.
