Of course they're going to say it's a beautiful wonderful way of life. ("And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.") But as you said, it's not surprising that people would be going over to to witchcraft or new agey false religions, when you consider the hypocrisy or emptiness of many "old-line" churches. I really do hate to say that, but unfortunately it's true. It's what caused me to leave religion altogether (and God, throwing out the baby with the bathwater) for many, many years.

74° here and partly cloudy. According to my weather app, it's going to be in the 80s over the next few days. But I'm planning to go somewhere where it's snowy, so in about a week I'll be freezing. :)

I stopped by RPF tonight, after being gone for a while… and a certain someone gave me 3 neg reps on old posts (like this one), for no apparent reason other than to be spiteful. To the little guy who did that… If you disagree with me on something, why not post a reply and start a conversation, instead of giving me 3 out-of-the-blue neg reps in a row? :) Or was I right, that you just did it to be spiteful, in a high schoolish sort of way? Lame, very lame.

This was very sad. My sister was a huge fan way back in the day. Like many other former teen stars, he battled alcoholism and drugs for a long time. Little tidbit of info, I saw him in person one time when I was working at Nordstrom in West LA.

Happy Thanksgiving, you all. Mine is going to be very special this year because I'll be with my other half for the first time. :)

That's how things have been for them for a very long time. I don't think there's anyone who's more "teflon" than Mr. slick. But I hope that by some miracle that will change.

Nope, the last time I drank was October 31, 2003. The second best decision I ever made in my life. I've learned you don't need alcohol to have fun. My first night out as a non-drinker, I remember I had a great time, with no hangover the next day. And I said to myself "why the hell didn't I do this years earlier?" :)

You reminded me...on my 21st birthday, I actually ate the worm in the bottle of Mezcal. The guy I was dating at the time had brought a bunch of those little bottles and at my party a bunch of them ate the worm. Then the entire party was chanting at me to eat the worm ('Do it! Do it! Do it!") so it was total peer pressure, and I guess because I was a little buzzed, I did it. Anyway, I've already been there done that when it comes to drinking… now I have an entirely different perspective. One that I know is not very popular around here. So I'm sure you know how I voted. :p

So do you use alcohol as an escape? Or you just think it's fun to get drunk and fall over? (Like you said… You knew these kinds of questions were coming.) ;)

Interesting. I did a search on fasting and inflammation and apparently many people are saying the same thing, that intermittent fasting can help with inflammation and painful joints. I will definitely pass this along to my mom. Thanks HB! :D

Sounds great, thanks so much! I did tell her that she should cut out all dairy, because I had heard that it causes inflammation. I hadn’t heard about fluoride and the cheap teas... and I wasn’t sure what things she should take, so I will definitely pass along all this info. Also the magnesium sounds like an excellent idea. Thanks again Donna!

That makes sense. I've mentioned this before but a number of years ago I had an amazing dream about the rapture. In the dream as I was being caught up, I was being transformed, almost like I was going into a different dimension....from having a physical body to a different type of body. It was really, really trippy and it seemed so real.

Thanks for always posting this information. When you have time, I want to ask you if you know about any natural remedies for arthritis. My mom has it, and she has been in terrible pain recently… And the medicine her doctor prescribed is not working for her.

I agree that we will be here for the entire tribulation. But I think where many people get mixed up is they equate the tribulation and the wrath, but they are two different things. God is obviously not going to pour out his wrath on his own children… But we will go through the tribulation period like everyone else.

I agree, except I'd say that they were half human... the offspring of fallen angels and human women. But they were definitely abnormal, and according to many sources they were horribly violent, evil and even cannibalistic. Despite all that, it seems that God gave them plenty of opportunities and time to repent, but they never did.

I think that the pre–trib rapture is false... and a dangerous teaching, because it causes people to be unprepared for what is to come. But according to the Bible there will be a rapture (even though that particular word is not used) on the last day. I haven't watched the video yet.
