Ok .. I'm 61,, (officially this month) I was raised in the Catholic Church,,, Though I reject it , I am not asleep or unaware of my surroundings. I have seen this circling of wagons before. The church is "Too Big to Fail" and will be bailed out.. like every other time in every other city,,Relocate, silence the story,, rinse and repeat.

I don’t think there is anything in a biblical context which would suggest that he was just a work of fiction. Like many things in the Scriptures, it requires faith.

Your taste in music says a lot about your bank account By Catey Hill, Moneyish August 17, 2018 | 12:25pm Rich people march to a different tune. The richest Americans may be way more likely to listen to classical music — which could include Beethoven, Mozart and Bach — than the rest of us. Indeed, those who listened to classical reported that they raked in an average income of more than $114,000 per year, compared to just $58,000 for country music fans (the lowest of those measured), according to a survey of 1,500 millennials released this month by TDAmeritrade. TD Ameritrade said that it believes this finding will hold true for all age groups.

Bill Maher Blasts Liberals over Alex Jones Censorship: ‘Supposed to Be for Free Speech’ 18 Aug 2018 Liberal comedian Bill Maher defended InfoWars host Alex Jones on Friday’s episode of Real Time with Bill Maher, arguing that self-described liberals should be in favor of free speech as it is a core American value. Discussing Jones’ removal from social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Spotify, and others, Maher appeared to disagree with his audience and fellow panelists about whether censoring him was a step in the right direction.

It can and has been done without the tyranny you blather about, sensible moderate measures will cause the invaders to leave on their own or not come in the first place, at the very least keeping more from coming in can easily be done cheaply. The threat from abroad is not imaginary, if you don't like us you should be scared stiff of the society that the invaders will create but you are either insane or a communist who wants the invaders to turn us into Venezuela, in my opinion you are probably both.

President Trump is planning to introduce a proposal that would allow states to establish emissions standards for coal-fired power plants rather than expediting their elimination. Two administration officials told the Post that Trump could announce the policy change as soon as Tuesday during a visit to West Virginia, where the president has vowed to bring back coal-dependent jobs. “America is blessed with extraordinary energy abundance, including more than 250 years worth of beautiful clean coal. We have ended the war on coal, and will continue to work to promote American energy dominance!” Trump tweeted in May. America is blessed with extraordinary energy abundance, including more than 250 years worth of beautiful clean coal. We have ended the war on coal, and will continue to work to promote American energy dominance! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 18, 2018The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimates the policy could impact as many as 300 power plants, reducing any incentive to shift from coal operations to using a cleaner source of energy, according to the paper. The high-stakes changes, involving work requirements and questions about illegal drug use, have been the subject of intense behind-the-scenes lobbying in recent months by federal and state lawmakers in the latest chapter of the GOP’s long-running efforts to reshape Medicaid — a policy priority extending back to the Reagan era. And they are moving forward even after a federal judge blocked Kentucky’s work requirement in June, saying the Trump administration failed to consider how the plan would affect coverage, and new evidence that thousands of Arkansans will lose benefits because of the state's work requirement. Advocacy groups have sued to stop Medicaid work requirements in both states and threaten further litigation if more changes are OK'd. Nonetheless, the administration is expected to sign off soon on work requirements in three more states — Arizona, Wisconsin and Maine — while approving limited drug testing questions sought by Wisconsin’s GOP Gov. Scott Walker, according to four individuals with knowledge of the process. Administration officials say that Medicaid beneficiaries should be encouraged to seek jobs to ensure they move off the program eventually. An attempt by Arizona to protect Native Americans from work requirements is also expected to be denied as part of the review — a move that effectively reiterates the administration's position that members of tribes might need to get jobs to keep their health care.

Top computer researchers gave a startling presentation recently about how to intercept and switch votes on emailed ballots, but officials in the 30 or so states said the ease with which votes could be changed wouldn’t alter their plans to continue offering electronic voting in some fashion. Two states — Washington and Alaska — have ended their statewide online voting systems. The developments, amid mounting fears that Russians or others will try to hack the 2018 midterm elections, could heighten pressure on officials on other U.S. states to reconsider their commitment to online voting despite repeated admonitions from cybersecurity experts. But a McClatchy survey of election officials in a number of states that permit military and overseas voters to send in ballots by email or fax — including Alabama, Kansas, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas — produced no immediate signs that any will budge on the issue. Some chief election officers are handcuffed from making changes, even in the name of security, by state laws permitting email and fax voting. More at:

Defense Secretary Jim Mattis said Friday he would dispatch a U.S. Navy hospital ship to the Colombian coast to help treat Venezuelan refugees that have overwhelmed the Colombian medical system — the first U.S. military foray into the Venezuela crisis. “It is absolutely a humanitarian mission. We’re not sending soldiers, we’re sending doctors,” Mattis told reporters of his plans to send the gleaming white, former freighter with a Red Cross painted on its side to help treat refugees in Colombia and probably other Latin American nations. He gave no timetable for when the ship, probably the ship known as the Comfort, would set sail from its home port, likely Norfolk, Virginia. U.S. defense officials have yet to say how the ship would be outfitted for the Venezuelan refugee health care relief mission. In times of war, the Comfort can carry 1,215 military medical personnel, conduct 12 simultaneous surgeries, operate 1,000 hospital beds and ferry casualties by helicopter. Typically, it has carried a smaller crew with lesser capabilities aimed at providing basic humanitarian relief in hard-to-reach areas or places stricken by natural disaster. More at:

The US Department of State has announced it will cut funding worth more than $200m for projects promoting stabilisation in Syria. Major contributions from other countries led to the decision to shift the money "to support other key foreign policy priorities", according to the state department. "As a result of key partner contributions by coalition members, Secretary Pompeo has authorized the Department of State to redirect approximately $230 million in stabilization funds for Syria which have been under review," spokeswoman Heather Nauert said in a statement on Friday. The bulk of the amount was pledged earlier this year under Secretary of State Rex Tillerson. However, the funds were put under review after his sacking in March this year, and from there it would have been returned to the Treasury Department on September 30 if it remained unspent. Around $6.6m from the pledged amount was released in June to continue funding for the White Helmets, a voluntary civil defence organisation rescuing people after air strikes.

Qatar has accused Saudi Arabia of barring its nationals from performing this year's Hajj, a charge Saudi officials deny. Around 1,200 Qatari citizens are allowed to attend the pilgrimage under a quota system, but Qatari officials say it has become impossible to register for the annual religious event. In June, Saudi Arabia's ministry for the Hajj announced the opening of a website, which allowed Qataris to register for the pilgrimage. However, those in Qatar say registration is impossible. Abdullah al-Kaabi of the state-run Qatar National Human Rights Committee said Saudi Arabia had shut down the system used by travel agencies to obtain permits. "There is no chance this year for Qatari citizens and residents to travel for Hajj," he told the Reuters news agency. "Registration of pilgrims from the State of Qatar remains closed, and residents of Qatar cannot be granted visas as there are no diplomatic missions." According to Reuters news agency, three travel agencies in Doha said they had stopped trying to sell Hajj packages. "Last year we lost a lot of money as the crisis started after we had booked everything in Mecca and Medina and we had to pay people back," said a manager of one travel agency in Doha, declining to be named due to the sensitivity of the matter.
