Ummm....I support marijuana legalization but I would suggest you try being sober before posting. The people inside the house returning fire (the illegal immigrants) didn't moot the self defense point as they (not the vigilantes) had the right to self defense. The point that I was making to the nativist "if you don't support militias killing illegal immigrants you don't support property rights" position is that defending your property doesn't give you the right to kill someone just because they don't get off it fast enough. If they threaten you with physical harm then it is self defense. Understand now? Also what do you think of Ron Paul's "no border wall and no mass deportation" closed border position? I support it.

It's a simple poll. You can vote your conscience or you can choose not to vote. And I will note that in your mind various border militias = organized crime. The motivation for the poll came from the dishonesty of the closed border nativists. Because I wasn't going to sign off on "Well should private citizens be able to shoot to kill to defend the border" argument I was falsely accused of not supporting property rights. But again, I have not generalized. I separated the "You can kill the 9 year old girl only when she is actively crossing the border" and "you can kill the 9 year old girl anytime" options. Edit: And for the record, I believe closed border and open border is being mis-used on the forum by you and others. Ron Paul is not for open borders. angelatc said so. And yet Ron Paul is on record being against the border wall and mass deportation.

Who was not a saboteur? The battle cry of the revolution was "no taxation without representation" and when it was all over George Washington sent in the military to collect taxes from whiskey farmers who didn't want to pay taxes for a frontier army to fight the Indians when they didn't ask for that to happen.

Thank you for the update. I will chalk that up to one of the things Obama did that I actually agreed with. I am still curious as to if she was ever put in a female prison but I guess if she was in solitary confinement that doesn't matter anyway.

Hello AF. I'm not sure why it would make you care less. But if so that's your prerogative. This wasn't aimed at you because I haven't see you make the "Well can't the vigilantes kill the immgrants?" argument I saw others make. I don't see how someone can care about a puppy killed by cops but "care less" about children killed by vigilantes. Taking a stand against murder does not = open borders. For the record I think Trump's move this week of cutting off aid to Guatemala and Honduras for not doing more to stop the "human caravan" makes sense. As you know, I actually give Trump credit for when he does things that actually make sense and criticize him for where he is wrong. And while Trump has not taken the "It's okay to kill unarmed 9 year olds" position when it comes to immigration (different for terror raids in Yemen), I oppose the position of those who do. Murder is where I draw the line. Whether you do or don't it's on you. Again, we ddin't shoot the U.S. born, red blooded American white hunters that came on our land. We had guns because they had guns. We just asked them to leave. It ain't that hard.

Exactly! And the people who did the robbery felt they were justified in doing so because the people being robbed were in the country illegally. It's a distinction without a difference. Certainly if parents knew their children were not safe from extrajudicial killing if they came to the U.S. illegally, even after crossing the border and establishing a home, that might deter some. But also, angelatc ignored everything I said about defending my own family property. I suppose I could shoot the hunters. They are armed after all. I would if one raised a gun at me. But why do it if they are not? How exactly does that win friends and influence people? By the same token, I don't believe shooting unarmed helpless people (9 year old girls) even if they are actively climbing a border wall (or more likely being pulled over it) in any way makes sense. But again, people can disagree. Hence the poll.

I made my position very clear. An unarmed 9 year old girl, that you euphemistically call an "invader", shouldn't be gunned down by a private citizen or by ICE. I know for a fact that gunning down a 9 year old girl goes against ICE policy anyway, past or present. Misusing the term "invader" does not justify shooting down an unarmed 9 year old girl. But if you think otherwise, please vote in the poll. http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?527688-Poll-When-is-it-okay-to-murder-an-unarmed-9-year-old-girl

Yep. devil21 nailed it. Phil, you can call that "lame" all you want, but facts are facts. Here is an episode of "Adam vs The Man" titled "How to not pay property taxes." And what ultimately happened to this man? He got evicted the same way you can get evicted for not paying rent.

Actually the other thread went just fine, but it's not surprising that you would make such a false assumption. Ron Paul isn't an open borders guy? Great. Neither am I. Ron Paul opposes the border wall, as do I. Ron Paul opposes mass deportation, as do I. Educate yourself. https://mises.org/wire/ron-paul-sums-his-anti-wall-anti-mass-deportation-views-immigration I was shocked by people saying that it was okay for private citizens to shoot to kill people crossing the border. I have never seen Ron Paul take that position. If you can find evidence where he said that, please post it. Otherwise please spare me the straw man argument okay? Edit: And I started the poll because I am genuinely curious as to how most people on this forum view this issue. I know two, based on their comments, would gun down the 9 year old girl at least if she was in the process of crossing the border and they couldn't deter her any other way. What is your position? Or are you unwilling to take one and you're just talking smack?

Meh. Gender identity disorder is just that, a disorder. We treat bipolar disorder by treating the brain. Same with obsessive compulsive disorder or any other disorder except GID. That said....if a man has not only through the hormone treatment and had "gender reassignment surgery" and got busted, would he really belong in a men's prison? (I guess Chelsae Manning is still in a male prison....which makes no sense to me.) On the flipside, the Charlotte NC/Obama position that "People should be able to be whatever gender it is they think they are at the moment" makes no sense to me either. So....a man is going to prison for rape....can he say "I feel like a woman now so send to a woman's prison! It's my right!" Of course not! The so called "metoo" movement would have a cow if Bill Cosby got sent to a women's prison, penis intact. (Though I guess he can't see now so it doesn't matter.) And the NC bill that the left freaked out on, which said people had to use the bathroom based on their birth certificate, really didn't affect transgenders, because most states, including North Carolina, allow transgenders to change their birth certificates! (That's probably why Trump used the specific language of "genitalia at birth" rather than "birth certificate"). And, of course, there are people who are actually born with both sets of genitalia. Rare....but it happens. As far as Trump being all over the map....this belongs here. Oh, and at 3:45 in this video, Paul Joseph Watson lies worse than Rachel Madcow ever did. The preacher that was on the stage with Ted Cruz made it clear in that video that he was not calling for the execution of gays, but that the Old Testament did, along with adulterers and other people who had committed certain sins. He went on to say that he was calling for repentance, not execution. But that's a side note.

Good for Massie! The form itself is a violation of the 4th amendment, not to mention the second. It's one thing if the government does a background check on you to see if you've ever been convicted of a crime. It's another if it tries to get you to incriminate yourself or commit perjury just to do something you already have the right to do.

This poll comes stems from the murders of Raul and Brisenia Flores. The undisputed facts are that they were illegal immigrants and at the time of their murders they were at a home they were renting. Anti immigrant vigilantes broke into their home, robbed them and killed both of them. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murders_of_Raul_and_Brisenia_Flores On this forum we shed crocodile tears for puppies killed by cops. That is indeed wrong. But how is this okay? And before you say "Nobody would say this is okay", when I brought her death up in another thread, someone on this forum said that "cuteness" wasn't good enough. She broke the law. She deserved to die. Really? So we will flip out about the death of Anwar Al Alawki, his 16 year old son, and his daughter, collateral damage from a drone strike, because....well it happened outside the U.S. so it's bad, but some (admittedly a very small few) will defend the murder of a little girl under a bizarre property rights theory? (They were on Merican soil and Meriku ain't their property.) That there are people that would defend this, and others who won't call them out on it, is shocking to me. I get the agnst over illegal immigration. Yes there are some illegal immigrants who are dangerous and should be dealt with like one that "accidentally" killed that woman on the pier. And yes there are other reasons to want a secure border. But I draw the line at murder. And yes. It's murder. If you break into someone's house and kill him or her, even if they are illegal immigrants, it is murder. If you shoot and kill someone who is not threatening you, just because they are crossing your property without your permission that's murder too. And yes I believe in property rights. My family owns a large tract of land and at times hunters (almost always white people) come on to our property either "accidentally" or on purpose to hunt deer. We have run them off, mainly because that poses an actual danger. (A lady up the road almost got shot by a hunter who was shooting at a deer. If she hadn't been bent over picking some flowers the buckshot would have hit her.) And we take our guns when we do the confrontation. If a hunter decided to shoot at us, we would defend ourselves. But we would never, NEVER, shoot someone merely for being on our land. It's just not worth it. Some of these same hunters that have violated our property rights are on the volunteer fire department and have come to our aid in times of need. Plus, no jury worth spit would uphold a "self defense" claim if your testimony was "No. I wasn't in any imminent danger. He just wouldn't get off my land when I asked him to so I shot and killed him." Anyway, I'll leave y'all to your vigilante fantasies.

I always wanted a Picasso but this will do until Danke buys me one . I will probably try and pick this up on Wed if Danke will loan me about 35.00 for gas .
