Also from the Tribune article (bold emphasis added): IANAL, but I don't understand this quixotic and doomed attempt to prevent extradition. If I understand correctly, interstate extradition in the US can only be challenged on a few narrow bases (for example, when the charge is not a crime in the state from which extradition is being requested), none of which really apply here. All this business about "self-defense" and "Fourth amendment right" and such are the kind of matters that are supposed to be addressed at trial, or at pre-trial hearings. Robert Barnes is a lawyer - and he doesn't understand it either: https://twitter.com/Barnes_Law/status/1322296179799982080 1322296179799982080

I suspect the NY Times reporter was just phoning this one in. The Tribune article is longer, more detailed, and doesn't indulge in irrelevant asides such as "In the weeks following his arrest, Mr. Rittenhouse has become a minor hero within the most conservative elements of the Republican Party."

According to the Chicago Tribune, he is already there: Kyle Rittenhouse sent to Wisconsin to face charges in Kenosha protest shootings https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/breaking/ct-kyle-rittenhouse-hearing-20201030-cuzzzn6nsvgmve75ygnhqydvo4-story.html Dan Hinkel (30 October 2020) Lake County authorities on Friday afternoon handed off Kyle Rittenhouse to police in Wisconsin, where he faces charges stemming from the fatal shooting of two men and the wounding of a third during August protests in Kenosha, officials said. Shortly after a judge ruled the Antioch 17-year-old should be extradited, Lake County sheriff’s deputies drove him to the border and passed him to deputies from the Kenosha County sheriff’s department, said Sgt. Christopher Covelli, of the Lake County sheriff’s office.

When one of the Bolshevik mob goes to jail, their brothers in arms show up at hearings and trials and proceedings, inside and out, to provide, if nothing else, but moral support. "We" can't get one single motherfucker to sit in on the hearing and provide some moral support for this poor kid? Not one fucking person? Oh, but of course, the colored Marxists can.

The Aftermath Of My Move Back To Independent Journalism https://greenwald.substack.com/p/the-aftermath-of-my-move-back-to Glenn Greenwald (30 October 2020) Interviews Discussing My Departure, Media Culture, the Need For Trans-Ideological Dialogue, and Intelligence Community Propaganda The last twenty-hours] have been exhilarating. I had no idea what to expect when I decided to leave The Intercept and move my journalism here, but the outpouring of support — both words of encouragement from readers and those subscribing and supporting my work here — has been beyond what I can describe and it is incredibly gratifying and appreciated. Thank you to everyone who has subscribed and reached out. This morning I discussed various aspects of my resignation from The Intercept on the outstanding YouTube program Rising with Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti. We discussed more in-depth my rationale for leaving, my response to various criticism and accusations from former colleagues and other assorted journalists, why I speak to both conservative and liberal media outlets, and what this episode reflects about broader media pathologies:

Your talking about something quite different than what I'm talking about. If the excess deaths from COVID 19 were from terrorists injecting patients with COVID 19, that's still excess deaths from COVID 19. That's different from saying all the people who died with co-morbidities died from something other than COVID 19. Some of the people who died because governors sent sick people back to the nursing home died solely from COVID 19.

Dr. Atlas sounds like Dr. Fauci did back in March. The lockdowns were supposedly about "flattening the curve" so that the health system wouldn't be overwhelmed. https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/03/13/815502262/flattening-a-pandemics-curve-why-staying-home-now-can-save-lives Note that a "flattened curve" equals the same number of cases but spread out over a longer period of time which theoretically should mean fewer deaths because the healthcare system never gets overwhelmed. And in the U.S. ... it didn't. And how many deaths did Dr. Faucistein predict? "I can't give you a number," he said. "I can't give you a realistic number until we put into the factor of how we respond. If we're complacent and don't do really aggressive containment and mitigation, the number could go way up and be involved in many, many millions."

Do you think that was from 1) people dying in nursing homes that would have died anyway, or 2) people getting sick in nursing homes from COVID that otherwise wouldn't have caught it? If you are saying #2 or a combination of 1 and 2 then you haven't disputed my point. Excess deaths are excess deaths regardless of how they happened. And again, the drop in the death rate can only be explained by an actual previous spike in the death rate.

Yes. By having an actual plan an implementing it. For example: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?549866-How-to-turn-protest-into-powerful-change Right now we are floundering. I disagree vehemently with your assessment. Do you remember the Tea Party movement? It was a mass movement on the right largely galvanized by a backlash to the TARP bailout. Remember Occupy Wallstreet? It was a mass movement on the left largely galvanized by a backlash to the TARP bailout. Remember the "Unite The Right" rally in Charlottesville? One of the organizers was from Occupy Wallstreet. How do you explain people from such disparate perspectives being angry about the same thing if it was all about Marxism?
