As I said, while I've met pretty much any flavor you can think of in the racist pantry....I've never had any issues. Hell, when I DJ'ed at PT's Showclub in Memphis.....my brother in law was in disbelief about some of the neighborhoods I would go to. Because I would straight up bounce into the hood hoods. But I had met and became good friends with DJ Prince Paul from Triple Six Mafia, which evolved into me meeting upper echelon members of the Vice Lords there, So between those contacts, and me being that "crazy fucking white dude that rolls through the hood like he owns it" pretty much made it to where no one bothered me. Plus I would fuck back at someone fucking with me. LOL.....I had a guy ask me "wtf was some whitebread MF'er there and not getting his ass beat" and I told him straight up, "See.....that's why I just don't like *******....you're way too fucking racist." This was amplified in it's shock value as that was the first time my brother in law was with me (he was in the.....import business and looking for new wholesalers), so by messing with me....they were REALLY messing with him just to have fun at his expense. And then I made it way worse by giving it back, because we were probably the only two white within two miles.....and for all my sister's husband knew....I had just talked to some heavy hitters like we were on a plantation 200 years ago.....lol

hahahaha My dad was in federal prison during the time Obama was first elected. He called the house on a Sunday to talk to my mother, but was talking to me first since I was there visiting. I asked him how he was doing, and I'll never forget him saying, "Not bad, son. Except I'm a bit worried how the next few weeks or months might play out since literally every single black inmate is 100% convinced that since Obama won the election, they are all getting pardoned and released". He would mess with them saying it was unfair, because he was banking on it being McCain, since that would have meant the white people would have been released, causing those inmates to say things along the lines of why would he believe something so stupid.....and he'd tell them, "Exactly"

Growing up in the deep south, I know full well both the history and people you're talking about. What's ironic to me though is that by and large such a wide consensus like that once held is gone. Not to say that racists aren't in the south, but it's not like Mississippi Burning in every town. I never appreciated that fact until I was offered a plant manager position for a CNC shop in Elkhart, IN. After a few weeks there.....LMAO....I had my eyes opened. Firstly, it made me aware that everyone assumed that by virtue of my accent I had to be a racist. And the way I found this out was one day one of the machine operators was talking to me (he is a black guy), and is talking about how between the recession (this was in 2009) and the massive amounts of illegal immigrants from Mexico had made it above and beyond difficult for people to find decent paying jobs. He then goes on to tell me every thing even remotely against company policy he's seen committed by employees.....the Mexican ones. That afternoon, one of the fork lift operators (who was Mexican) was with me going over his paperwork from the shipping docks that day.....and fuck me he starts talking about the black population targeting the Mexicans with crimes like robbery, banking on them not calling the police in fear of deportation. To his credit.....his racism really came out with more directness than the previous dose I got that morning from the machine operator, which was concerning since that confirmed me being viewed as a "safe place" to go to and just really put out some racial hate. This occurred a few more times over the next few weeks with a few different employees.....and I had just made a joke to my boss that at least none had been a white person. Well.....MF'er.....that's when the whitest of the white caught me outside smoking and started talking to me. And in 15 minutes, he taught me more racial slurs than I had learned my entire life growing up in the south on top of traveling the world with the Army. I finally went to HR to get on record before this somehow got around with me as the new Grand Wizard. I wouldn't identify any employee since HR would have to fire them per policy, and that would have literally shut half that department down. Instead I had a meeting with the shift with HR as a witness, and explained that just because I talked like every bad guy in a movie about racists they'd seen didn't mean I was one, nor that I was someone for them to bounce their racist complaints off of. And I told them that this was their freebie, since I would not give anyone's name to HR as they would be fired.....but going forward....I now had HR in my cell phone so I could immediately report the next person to do so. It just completely blew my mind. I was used to running across someone who hated black people, white people, mexicans, ect in sporadic places at times.....it was literally every SOB there. Blacks hated the Mexicans, Mexicans hated the blacks, the whites hates both.....

The only issues I take with the article is the hatefulness is well seated within both groups, not just the Democrats side. Two good examples are Neil Cavuto and Ron Paul. I follow both on FB, and being that both have no aversion for calling a spade a spade....they've noted mistakes or poor judgement with Trump's time as President, just as they did with Obama and Bush before. But their posted articles fill up with hundreds of, "I should have known you were a libtard biding their time. Stupid ass Trump hater! How about you support the President or get the hell out of America"! They literally deify Trump just as much as those hardcore liberals did Obama. It also makes me feel nausea anytime someone calls Republicans conservative, since there is nothing conservative about 99% of Republicans. Good article though. And scarily more true than I think any of us would like to admit

Good to hear. How far out have you shot with it? How many rounds have you put through it (basically, is it holding tight zero after firing and being slung around)? I have a couple of new ARs and have been trying to decide on an optic combo as you discussed in this thread, as well am a fan of anything Sig (except their pistols. They just look like a turd to me, and feel like a big block in my hand), so I'm looking at this option.

I'm with you, bro. Full disclosure, my sister died from an OD (she was the pill junkie to end all pill junkies). We all knew it was just only a matter of time until she went to bed and never woke up. To expand on how accepted that was within the family, there were several family members who would not allow her to sleep at their house as they didn't want to be the place she died at. It was very hard on my mother, so I tried to find a way intervene since everything else have failed miserably. I contacted her doctor's office, and explained that I understood confidentiality and I wasn't going to ask the first question. Rather, I just wanted them to listen to me for 2 minutes so I could explain that she was eating prescriptions of xanax, tramadol, and hydrocodone written out to last a month inside of 72 hours of getting them. And suggest that if he did like chronic pain clinics do and urine test her at visits, if nothing else, it'd force her to keep some meds back instead of gorging to pass. Of course no one would talk to me, even after I had driven her to the ER a dozen times for overdoses from my mother's house. And as was expected she finally took her a handful and never woke up. Now....I don't say that to imply I have some moral highground, nor to imply my point is hardened by it. I simply relay it to explain how that while I fully acknowledge Red Flag Laws are complete horseshit and ripe for abuse (as well as in violation of our civil liberties),if I'm being completely honest...there is a part of me that does understand at the very least the intention behind them. Honestly, I've found that to serve well when I argue against people who support them because I do understand their "pull at the heart strings" argument....but that doesn't win out against that logical voice in my head saying how wrong the laws are. LOL.....understand, I'm one of those guys that when a shooting happens, and someone asks if I'm really ok with children being dead if it means my right to arms is left alone? I answer them, "Yep", because while I can empathize with their position, I can also be honest in the far worse unintended consequences if they got their way

Completely understand, and hits on one of the same fears I have in seeing this kind of legislation going around. And it's way amplified over the thought of some random jackboot being able to do the same without any real fear of repercussions family might have. But I'm fully onboard with vindictive family and the many ways they could/can abuse laws like this.

Oh, you're misunderstanding me. In no way do I support these laws. I merely mean to say I do have a voice in the back of my head pertaining to it that someone's parent or spouse pursuing such action makes a certain sense in the way that it's a parent or spouse seeking desperate help. But just because there is a part of me that can relate to that logic, in no way means I support them.

As much as I am not fond of Trump's economic moves, I completely agree that in the long run this will be good for the US (decoupling the two economies from each other). However, it's in no way going to be a product of Trump's planning and it's going to be a VERY rough ride between now and in the long run. A lot of Trump's logic is firmly rooted in how one might look to attack a competitor in business, but economies are in no way a business because your competition can't determine their operating costs and the value of monies used to buy materials and value of monies to sell. Places like the US and China can to some degree, China more so. Almost everyone outside team Republican or the Trump admin all agree on the fact that Trump is one dumb SOB economically speaking. I'm not defending the way national and global economies operate, but I am acknowledging it. And Trump's determination to lower the COB in the US (lowering rates to make both servicing debt as well as accruing it) to compete against nations who have the same issue due to weakening economic strength is doing nothing but setting the US up for one hell of a depression.

I have admitted I find myself torn on these laws PROVIDED it is immediate family seeking it as a last resort since they would be the ones who'd know if there was sincere cause or not. But this part.... "Red Flag laws generally work by a family or household member or law enforcement officer petitioning a court...." That should make everyone's blood run cold. Because I dare say no one here is disillusioned regarding how much abuse that would lead to.....

Amazon is selling routes, FYI. Rather, territories to handle deliveries (they're trying to put together a private entity for moving product that has Amazon at it's center). It wasn't much to buy one....I think a truck and $30k liquid assets, as well as being flown to their Corp HQ (think it was Seattle?) for something of an "interview" before full steam ahead. Honestly, what you're talking is relatively easy to get off the ground. The cheapest being find some Chinese products to import, insure there is enough process involved to claim made in the USA, and sell them online through a shell LLC. That does require handling some storage and shipping on this end, but that also allows you to insure all packaging and markings are yours'. But, you could use the container as your warehouse until it was empty and then return. I used to sell massage chairs like that (I was selling exact copies of $4k chairs here for $400) and a 20ft container and BNSF rail to Memphis was just a few grand. Sure people could get your product from a China dealer via Amazon for a bit cheaper, but as long as the markup was modest and not crazy....people would pay it partly for the Made in USA claim, but more so for expediency since instead of 30 to 40 days delivery your product was 2 to 5. Another way is something I'm actually going to look into, as I have several strong contacts in the manufacturing world, but never thought about it until your post. But the main one I'm going to look into is medical equipment, as my uncle runs my dad's old lift chair manufacturing facility in MS (Med-Lift) because I know the productions costs and what I can get certain things built for.

Well..... At those prices, and reselling at like $2 per gallon to every gas station I could find to work in the dark with me (or some entity with massive vehicle groups), we could squeeze out close to $1500 net after freight (using a base 64 drum load on a 40 ft trailer). Figure 6 or 7 trailers before it was in the black and self sustaining.... It'd definitely be a volume run. Course....any real money in sales is made that way, speaking to volume sales. Too many people want to pay off their Ferrari on one sale. Course....we'd be done as soon as that source price came up, so no reliable supplier....lol

I feel for you....a bad toothache is a special kind of misery. I suffered a dry socket once.....it's been a lot of years, but I remember I went through a 12 pill script of mepergan that day, and had 25 tylox (now there's an old ass pain killer that will date me) over the next two just to keep things bearable while it healed. I actually did tell the nurse when I went to the ER for my back when she asked me to describe my pain level that if they told me they couldn't do something and this was my life, that I'd shoot myself. LOL....while I meant that as purely a way to drive home what I was dealing with, that nurse went to my wife (whose an MD at the ER we went to) and told her she was concerned I was suicidal. The wife got a chuckle out of that and told her I was just making sure we were all eye to eye because I wanted IV pain drugs ASAP.

A funny story to give you an idea of how "less" opiates affect people on my father's side..... My grandfather, who was a TEE-TOTAL'ER and did NOT drink, would make exception for the dentist. He would go buy a fifth of Jim Beam, sit in the waiting room (in a dry county...lol), and start pounding that bottle. Luckily, the dentist was a family friend who liked to quail hunt with our family...so he'd have a room set up and kept empty on those days all set up for whatever they had to do, and then the second my granddaddy told the receptionist he was ready, he'd stagger to that chair and the dentist would get it over with fast as he could. People were shocked at my tolerance (I can take 3mg of Dilaudid in an IV, and walk around and talk completely fine), but my granddaddy.....locals didn't affect him at all. They'd give him almost 75% pure gas and it was like he was breathing mountain air. LOL.....they tried morphine once, and the doctor finally quit saying he'd already reached what would be fatal levels for most people and my granddaddy didn't feel it. Edit: Oh, opiates aren't a downer for me. If I take 60mg or so, you'd SWEAR I was on uppers. I'm super energetic, sweating, talkative and uber friendly

I think it's education. Less people are taking opiates and mixing them with things like xanax now. If you take out heroin overdoses and (what's supposed to be hospice) drugs like fentanyl, every "pain pill overdose" will be due to a combination of another drug they took with it.

I ruptured my discs at L4 and L5 (BADLY) which lead to severe nerve impingement against my sciatic nerve, causing the nerve to grow into the vertebrae. Unlike most people's story of their sciatic pain, mine was a pain level of 10 24/7 that had me taking 100mgs of hydrocodone with whiskey just hoping to get an hour of sleep (I went three days at the end where I couldn't sleep from pain, and all the "rest" I got was passing out from exhaustion for a few minutes here and there). I tell people I thought I knew what pain was until that adventure. Eating a bullet started to get REAL appetizing to me. I was just after an epidural and waiting for my doctor appointment when I got "lucky" and collapsed in the bedroom unable to walk, which lead to an ER trip and MRI, which shipped me that night for emergency neurosurgery. I take 20mg just to get out of bed now (it's 6 years since my surgery and they only fixed the nerve impingement as my discs are still seriously herniated from the damage) , and after some basic yard work take 50mg to 60mg. It's a combination between pain and simple tolerance (as well as some metabolic genes that makes people in my family less prone to opiods.) but, as you're alluding to, while a lot of people who simply don't know might think I had to be a pain pill junkie that's completely untrue.
