Thomas comes to the same conclusion that I have... the federal government is not reformable. As long as the money printer exists it is impossible to significantly change the federal government's course.

I think the question turns on the real truth about Trump. Is he the pariah to the left, or is he controlled opposition?

One of the great problems in all this is that Theye play both ends against the middle, the latter being "us". This manifests is such a multitude of ways, it becomes nearly impossible to know how to proceed, what to think, whom to trust, and so forth. For example, had Americans known the truth about Lusitaia, how eager might they have been to volunteer to fight on the side of the good-for-nothing British? I suspect Americans would not have been at all on board with the idea. The same can be said for the second war. The demon spawn Roosevelt was failing in his communistic foist upon America, so he saw his opportunity to divert attention from his miserable failures as president by taunting and goading Japan to the point they finally gave in to stupidity and lampooned Pearl. We humans are problematic on our best days. Given our capacities for being corrupted, it becomes clear that the greater we become in terms of our technological capabilities, the more the more to the hazard we venture in terms of our continued viability as a species. Long ago, wild tribal humans were likely averse to the strictures of civilized life. However, we are so easily corrupted, especially if tyrants take their time, introducing their foists in tiny measures until the people are so corrupted, as we see today, they can then take bold cuts with little concern for being challenged in any meaningful way. People like comfort. The world is by its nature an uncomfortable place. Hold out crumbs of comfort, no matter what lies you must tell, and people will do anything you command. This is the sad truth of the mean human being. He is a pathetic beast who, like a chameleon, changes his stripes as convenience may find appealing. Rare are the men who understand the value and nature of freedom. Rarer still are those who understand the balance between principle and pragmatism that best protects and perpetuated liberty, which is so ephemeral due to the mean man's readiness to fall to the false temptations that lead him to eventual slavery.

The first video I saw was cropped. It appeared that the entire structure collapsed in unison, leading me to suspect this was another 9/11 job. Just this morning I saw the uncropped harbor video and the progression of collapse from the initial failure point, outward is clearly visible. As to whether it was an accident, I say hold judgement and let us see what the "experts" say in a report. It will be interesting to watch for the economic effects this propagates, which I'm sure there will be some. It may come to well illustrate just how highly we depend on these assets for our daily existences. Time will tell.

So is Vice trying to claim the bridge was knocked down on purpose to hurt heroin addicted trans sex workers? Isn't the only thing you to hurt someone addicted to heroin is...them and time?

That could make a lot of sense but it could also be a huge risk. He has a lot of power/seniority in the House and wouldn't want to give it up. But also he has the Liz Cheney faction and the Trump faction coming after him and to win a primary you need one or the other on your side. In KY it would be hard for Thomas to run against someone that Trump endorsed. Not impossible, but very difficult.

Good for Massie! Trump is an ass but the GOP is stuck with him for now. Thankfully I think this will be his last run for POTUS. If he wins he won't be eligible to run again in 2028. If he loses....well I think that will damage his brand too much and he'll be too old to be considered again. But.....who knows? By the way, is Massie going to run for Mitch McConnell's seat? He should. That would be awesome!

It looks like the power went off two times. The ship was going forward without power, but with a good amount of momentum, the first time and when the power came back on, the pilot put the engine in reverse. Doing so caused the prop walk (the ship to turn). Normally prop walk can be corrected by going slightly forward. However the pilot would have been unable to do this because the power went off a second time. i agree; in hindsight it seems like the ship had a lot of momentum without power so allowing the ship to get past the bridge seems like it might have been a better alternative.

LOL. i JUST saw her clip from Meet The Press this last Sunday doing her mea culpa for not coming out against January 6th as RNC chairperson. It almost makes me wonder if they hired her just to humiliate her and ruin her brand with Republicans.

I haven't gotten sick in many years. When I heard about covid I started taking colloidal silver everyday and I made a spray touse on my face and hands before and after going out in public. I also got some ivermectin a couple of years ago I took it once a week for about a year. Now I only take it if I get around someone who is noticeably sick. No vaxx, mask, or test for me. I feel fine. I also drank a high dollar tonic water and took zinc along with it during the so called height of the outbreak just in case. I also took it if I was around my brother who had been vaxxed. I live in a very rural area almost nobody wore mask or took the vaccine around me ao there is that too. I still spray my face and hands before and after being out in public. Also, I ended up having to take in my conically ill younger sister and her autistic son after my mom died. I gave her all the same things I was taking and she is in the best health she has been in her whole life. I gave my nephew silver and chlorine dioxide everyday and ivermectin once a month and his cognition has gone way up. So everyone at my house has been doing pretty good. One thing about the so called pandemic that I think is kind of good is that people seem to not go out in public if they are sick and running a fever and coughing and snotting all over everything as much as they used to.

Last time she trashed us (over Kokesh) there was much moaning that "we" didn't have people registered there to counter the points they put out.

Pass it on to grown ups.

As is the case with any online situation, opinions change over time (ideally). I have no idea why that thread was resurrected, but I'm glad it was so I could state my change of opinion.
