The opening is an in-depth, technical analysis of a geometry proof by AlphaGeometry, the summary begins at 18:16. Alex admits that he's not a Computer Scientist and props to him for acknowledging his limitations on this subject (rare nowadays, people tend to assume that, because they can use a computer, they intuitively understand CS which is just not true.) Fortunately for Alex, CS backs up the opinions and intuitions he expresses here. It would be possible to make AlphaGeometry produce more human-like geometric proofs. When we work out new proofs or new knowledge of any kind, our notes look a lot like the "chicken-scratch" mess that AlphaGeometry produces. But then we do a second, editorial revision, to clean up our notes and present a reasoned argument from beginning to end. AlphaGeometry also does this, but it's just not very human-like in its presentation. So, you could use fine-tuning -- RLHF, DPO, human-preference ranking, etc. -- to make AlphaGeometry produce geometric proofs that are more in the style that humans prefer to read and write them. In other words, Alex's criticism on this point, while completely valid, is currently solved with existing methods, it would just be a matter of implementing it. But on the wider implications of AlphaGeometry to mathematical proof-search, generally, this is where Computer Science comes back into the equation. Yes, there are problems that cannot be solved, even by AI. It doesn't matter how "incepted" your AI is, it doesn't matter whether it trains itself, rewrites its own code, self-improves itself, etc. It doesn't matter how much energy the AI has access to, nor what frequencies the AI operates at. The entire observable universe can be devoted to the use of an all-consuming, black-hole-scale AI operating at trillions of times the gigahertz frequencies of modern CPUs, and it still won't be able to solve the monster problems that are among the hardest problems in Computer Science. This is not speculation, it is not merely "empirical", this is provable.

Say whatever else you think about the man, he is surely one of the greatest philanthropists in history -- this is practically a $44-billion donation to humanity. Grok is trained on Twitter data which no one else has access to, not even OpenAI. The cost to build this model is $44B (+ several million for GPU training). This isn't the same as making Twitter public property, but it's a donation that Elon didn't have to make and, in fact, there is a hurricane of legislation being cooked up to make this kind of a mass disclosure of powerful AI models, even if their owners want to publish them, illegal. The battle-lines are becoming clearer every day....

This is factually false. Government spending spiked under COVID but we know that is something that, politically, Trump was simply unable to stop from happening. I think we're way past that point. The mindset of the Left is well illustrated in unilateral geoengineering. "We're saving the world. We don't need your permission or approval." They already implemented de facto Marxism in the US at least since 2008, arguably earlier than that. Most Americans mistakenly believe we are still operating under free-market capitalism, which is absurd. Almost the entire national economy is under the direct central control of DC. The only exceptions are a few red states that aren't afraid to flip the bird to DC and are allowing actual market capitalism to exist. Beyond that, we are already in full-blown Marxism and have been for a long time.

It's the point at which the real problem becomes completely unavoidable, even for the schizophrenic-level denialists. That the Federal government has been illegally spying on the American public on an industrial scale has been public knowledge since Snowden's disclosures over a decade ago. Nothing was done about it but I really do not understand why. I understand the calculus behind it, but I don't understand why the mass of the American public continues to just go along with the Federal hand sliding up our skirt. At what point along the getting-raped-by-our-own-government scale do We The People put a stop to this?! Only once we're giving birth to the literal Antichrist, or some time before that??! There are no other virgin frontiers to run away to. America was the final retreat from this satanic tyranny which has been chasing the people of God for millennia. It has now seized power over our country by infiltrating and corrupting every single department at every level of government. The flagrant, illegal spying of the three-letter-agencies is merely a symptom of the much greater status quo tyranny. The Federal agencies flagrantly spy on us using Stasi methods because they know that, in the grand scheme of tyranny, they are just a drop in the bucket compared to what the rest of the Federal government is really up to. That is the real problem, or next door to it. And the real, real problem is found once you ask why they ever felt so bold to pull all these tyrannical stunts in the first place. By what siren-song did the tyrant-class in DC become collectively hypnotized into believing that they would never be held to account for their crimes, that they were all somehow magically immune to the traitor's gallows? Such collective action never occurs randomly, in a vacuum, especially when the stakes, if caught, are so high. No, they were somehow made confident in their crimes, they were made to feel immune and invincible to the law. How was this done? (Rhetorical question...)

It may still be being shared. There is way more of this going on than you think. When the alphabet-soup agencies lie to Congress and say they are not "wittingly" spying on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans, what they really mean is that they've overseen the construction of a private-sector infrastructure that uses the advertising layer of the Internet to spy on millions or hundreds of millions of Americans. Every time you visit almost any website nowadays, you are going to have to agree to extremely intrusive cookies (or they may just take the legal risk of inserting them anyway without asking) and you will have to accept ads. Many websites now have counter-ad-blocking so that if you do not enable ads, the website itself will not show. Let's say you visit Macy's website and shop for a sweater. That information is sent back to the ad servers where it is registered with your IP. When you visit Home Depot's website, you're probably going to see ads for sweaters, even though Home Depot doesn't sell sweaters. Why? Because it's the very same ad server serving ads to all the websites. So, when HD sends your IP to the ad-server and says "give me the ads to show to this customer", the ad-server says "Ah, we just saw this fellow and he was shopping for sweaters. Here, show him an ad for a sweater." This system of spying is so efficient that this works even if you make a brand new connection to the Internet from an IP block you have never connected from, with a freshly installed OS and empty browser profile (no cookies, etc.) In reality, very few people are grabbing a fresh IP every time they connect (eg randomized VPN or Tor), deleting their browser profile every time, blocking all scripts and tracking cookies, etc. Thus, all of this information "accrues" in the ad servers over time and what is happening in the back end is that the ad-servers are constantly building and maintaining a shadow profile for every human connected to the Internet. This is where Entity Resolution comes into the picture. If you connect to the Internet from a different IP, the ad-servers won't automatically know who you are. But as soon as you visit even one website that you've visited before from a different IP but with same cookies, the ad-servers now know exactly who you are, and your browsing behavior (including browsing history) is stored in your ad-server profile, even though you're connecting from a different IP. When you give your name, address, phone number and other identifying information to a website that shares that information with advertisers, it is populated into your shadow profile (your entity) in their database. Not all of these entities are fully resolved and my understanding is that there is a large secondary market where bulk lots of these unresolved profiles are sold at auction, like cattle.

LOL, thanks for the page. On the topic of alternative economy, I think we are going to see a parallel economy to emerge, maybe as early as this year. The globalists are pirates. Their "strategy", such as it is, is founded on infinite shamelessness. They consider their shamelessness to be a superpower because when their opponents get into a tit-for-tat war with them, the opponents will always be forced to stop short of going the full measure. The pirates are always willing to take one further step down into the Abyss than the good guys. In short, once these pirates land on your shores, you will never be rid of them short of Doomsday. However, there is a remedy, and that remedy is to become nomadic. The pirates have used some kind of Dr. Strange capability to game out all the future scenarios -- BlackRock wins in all 14,000,605 possible futures. But those futures are calculated from the present status quo economy: get a degree, hire into a career company, get a mortgage to buy a house, pay off the mortgage and put your retirement nest egg into a 401k in the Wall St. casino, and so on. But if we build a parallel, semi-nomadic economic order (think Convoys Forever, circulating between sympathetic territories acting as home bases), we can route around their controls. Bitcoin can play a role in this, but the more I've mulled on Bitcoin over the years, the more it's become apparent to me that it simply cannot act as a foundation for a parallel economy for the simple reason that we do not know whether P=NP or not. Without proof of the answer to this question, building a parallel economy on Bitcoin is like flipping a coin to determine whether you go to heaven or hell. Willingly taking 50% odds of going to hell is madness, so until P=NP is resolved, Bitcoin can only play a catalytic role, it cannot be a foundational building-block. That leaves PMs and direct trade (barter). PMs, prepping, nomadism, etc. are the future I see developing, because the Beast System has hijacked everything this time. AFAICT, that even includes the church (as proven by enthusiastic COVID compliance by most churches), with some small holdouts here and there. A nomadic parallel economy is a lot harder to stop than it might sound like. A big rolling mass of people is not something that local authorities can bark orders to. The military can always obliterate any target, in principle, but is it actually worth the political costs?! And by the time they're finished with their Dr. Strange calculations for deploying the military to wipe you out in Location A, you've already moved on to Location B. I'm not a fan of constantly being on the move, but if that is the only way to defeat the Beast System, then sign me up.

What military takeover are you talking about?! Where is this mythical military takeover? The paragraph is an explanation that there are circumstances in which a military repulsion of rogue elements who have seized control of the civil government is suitable. We're not even supposed to have a standing army in peacetime. But since we have one anyway, let them obey the Constitution. And if the military is faithful to the Constitution when the civil government is hijacked by an alien power that is hostile to the Constitution and the basic rights of all Americans, then it will drive out those rogue elements and faithfully defend the Constitution until such time as We The People restore our Republic on its original foundation. Just checked out my window, still don't see any tanks rolling down Main Street...
