I can only go from what you write. You seem to get triggered virtually every time Trump's name is mentioned. And when I mention TDS. So, idk what to say to that... :shrugging:

Wow, you just excoriated my intelligence, then you make a big old reading-comprehension floparoo... right in your first sentence! It prohibits UNAPPORTIONED ... DIRECT ... TAXES. Read those three words -- or better yet, write them out on a chalkboard -- 100 times until you comprehend! NO UNAPPORTIONED DIRECT TAX. Just read it! Those, being gathered at the border of the nation, are not direct taxes on We The People. Duh. Wow, I just confirmed that ol' "Brickhead" Tufts is ChatGPT... behold:

Well you seem to materialize out of the ether like a poltergeist any time the name "Trump" is breathed anywhere on this forum. I'm not voting for DeSantis, so it's a waste of keystrokes to list off to me all of Trump's faults. And while I really do hope that Trump will become what Q/MAGA implied he would be (drain the Swamp, etc.), if he won't be, then I don't see any difference between Biden 2.0 and Trump 47. In the end, I am coming more to the view that the US government is like a septic pond... you need it there so you have a place to flush your turds but you don't want it in your house, your neighborhood, your schools, your churches, etc. It appears that the Swamp is so far gone that the only solution is to simply ignore them to death. And yes, we have that power if we choose to wield it...

Nailed it! Here is the universal-decoder-ring that unlocks the Fed/globalist agenda for product regulations and restrictions: Imagine the poor as though they are living in an open-air prison presided over by the Federales as their grand Warden. When the Warden wants to "reduce consumption" in order to "battle inflation", he orders the prison requisitions staff to reduce unit capacities, cut power allotments, and so on, and so forth. No, we are not living in an open-air prison but they think we are. That's the institutionalized mindset of the typical DC regulatory czar, warming a seat with their ass in some faceless DC Federal agency office. They view themselves as lab-rats, and they view us as cockroaches. But who cares what such worthless people think? Why does anybody even pay attention to them? That's the real question...

I should have been clearer; AG's statement that, "The global elites were planning this scheme decades in advance" is the particular claim that I am saying is black-pilling. While the evil have been at this for centuries (not just decades), the idea that they are hyper-competent, that they are playing 17-zillion-dimensional chess-moves, and are effectively the only ones seated at the chessboard... that is the black-pill. As I mentioned, if you're outside Jesus, maybe that black-pill should scare you; but those of us who are believers should not be scared of this nonsense. You and I have gone around on the Trump thing several times already and maybe you forgot that I AM NOT A TRUMPER. I can post that in flashing GIF again if it will help alleviate your TDS-symptoms. Nowhere in this thread have I "defended" Trump on any construction, quite the opposite, after 6 years on the public stage, the best I can say about Trump is "Whether Trump is one of them, or not, I don't know." Unlike the TDS-deranged, I can see some scenario in which Trump turns out to have been a good-guy all along. And yes, if there is any chance of hope, no matter how small, I will keep the flame of hope alive. Nevertheless, the world stage is not about Trump, Trump is just another of God's creatures, like the rest of us. In my view, the real question is not "what is Trump's plan?", and never has been... the real question is "what is God's plan?"

See, this is just black-pilling. While the Clown-"elites" are depraved beyond words, and they have been ever-so-gradually sneaking their hand up the skirt of humanity for centuries, the reality is that they are not hyper-competent -- they're not even competent. I have gotten a peek behind the curtain, a personal view into the lives of these "supermen" that supposedly control our lives and pull all the strings and, I can assure you, these people are absolutely incompetent slobs. Whether Trump is one of them, or not, I don't know. Some evidence indicates he is absolutely not one of them. Some other evidence indicates that he is not absolutely against them, either. So it's hard to tell. Nevertheless, the idea that they're playing 17-quintillion dimensional chess and we're all doomed because their hyper-competent system of evil is inescapable... is absurd. Outside of the Gospel, maybe it's true; I shudder to think about it. But the worst of them, the ones who knowingly serve Satan, were already defeated at the Cross. Do not fear them, rather, get saved. Don't spread black-pills, rather, spread the Gospel...

I've long since stopped trying to figure out what they're "really" up to... because, no matter what it is, you can be sure it's Clown-world nonsense. So, might as well just laugh at them because they really are making fools of themselves. Don't get me wrong, I hope they find God and get saved, but in purely human terms, they deserve only mockery and derision.

The key is whether they teach the Gospel or not. "If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed." (John 8:36) What many secular libertarians (and sadly, many evangelicals) miss is that the Gospel teaches a freedom that is even more radical than the most extreme form of libertarianism, because libertarianism only sets you free up to the limits of mundane life, and bodily death. Beyond that, it cannot set you free. The Gospel isn't just about freedom, it's about complete freedom, forever. In my view, the most libertarian churches and church orders are among the most conservative. Not all conservative churches are libertarian, in fact, most of them are not. But churches where the liberty of the Gospel is taught with full-throated authority are always conservative, and most of them are very conservative. Doug Wilson's views of the proper role of the State in this present evil world are within a stone's throw of my own: I definitely diverge on some points of emphasis, but I think the basic concept of "theocratic liberty" is sound. What is "theocratic liberty"? The goal of the Gospel is to prepare us (believers) for the arrival of God's Kingdom on earth. Note that we don't really "usher in" the Kingdom, even though we can speak of it that way, poetically. Rather, repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand. In modern terms, "The Kingdom of God is arriving soon whether you're ready for it or not, so get ready or be destroyed." Yes, that's harsh, but facts are facts, whether we like them or not.

The summary of part 1: 1 The Constitution grants power and limits power of government - not private people 2 Our rights come from our status as people created in the image of God 3 Limitations on the power of government come from the view that all men are sinful and can't be trusted with too much power 4 Only legislatures can legitimately make law 5 When judges, presidents, or bureaucrats make law, it is an act of tyranny 6 The Supreme Court had no authority to legalize abortion 7 Unborn children should be treated as persons

I don't agree -- us old diehards need to occasionally stoop down and do a few rounds in the ring with the paid-propagandists for the benefit of new folks who are just onboarding to the movement. Freshly-minted 19-year-old LPMC members with a summer at Mises U under their belt will have been exposed to a broad palette of Leftist talking-points, but there is a veritable ocean of such talking-points, and so a big part of equipping them to take on the Left is just showing them the ropes, getting out there and showing them how to sail over stormy seas...

I'm less interested in that point, just clarifying the point that johnwk is trying to make -- the manner in which the 16th Amendment was passed is clearly aberrant... kind of like a recent election we had was clearly aberrant.... Well, first of all, that has nothing to do with the bolded part -- 75% super-majority of the States is absolutely required to pass a constitutional amendment... the Cabal hasn't figured out how to change that one, yet. As for the rest of your counter-tax-protestor arguments circus, I'll decline a reprise of that crap-show. You're out to lunch in respect to the clear meaning of the Constitution, which was written for Everyman to understand, it was not some kind of Holy Scrip bequeathed from the Founders to SCOTUS so that SCOTUS may tell us their Papal Pronouncements upon its true meaning. I'll not be replying so enjoy arguing with the wind!

It would falsify the claim that it was ratified in Feb. 1913 Maybe you can help me out on the other thread of discussion -- what was the great national crisis affecting the main-street American in 1911-1913, for which he was raising a nationwide grassroots outcry for a direct, unapportioned, national income tax? I mean, there was a 75% super-majority of Americans who wanted the 16th Amendment to be passed, right? Right?

Well, yes, the Antichrist and his Whore are made for each other. But We The People should be a righteous people who follow God and reject the Antichrist's Cabal. And I prefer to believe our Founding Fathers were men of faith and were guided by God, rather than to believe they were trapped in the devil's snares. But maybe I'm just a hopeless optimist... Exactly, which is why all of this really is biblical in nature. This really is, as Q put it, GOOD AND EVIL. So, all the "technicalities" of how the 16th Amendment was or was not passed are not interesting to me. The only thing that interests me is THE REAL. Judgment Day is coming. Many are going to be caught up short, especially the ones who insist on laughing at their imminent Doom...

Yes, you can bury your head in the sand and pretend there hasn't been a Cabal infiltrating this country from before day one. If you want to assert that the 16th Amendment was the product of representation of the American people, please show the historical evidence of the mass public outcry that created the super-majority required to pass that amendment. What was the crisis? What was happening in the US from 1911 to 1913 that was causing main-street Americans to cry out for a direct, unapportioned national income tax? The Cabal's retort is, "We played the right chess-moves and we won through technicality, but a win is a win." But that's a two-way street... if we want to get that technical, we can call a Con-con, dissolve the Federal government, convene grand juries, appoint special-prosecutors, and start filing charges against all Federal crooks in State courts, while we re-constitute our national government. Yep, that's a question of distributed coordination and political force. But if the Cabal wants to make this a contest of force, then let it be so. We The People will win that contest!

Also, as to the accusation of special-pleading that Establishment-apologists always roll out whenever the working-man raises the question of whether the US national income-tax is truly Constitutional, this is a pernicious change-of-subject. The Establishment are the privileged class... because they are privileged and politically well-connected, they live off the largess of the public purse. That the working-man is paying into that public-purse and they are withdrawing from it does not reduce the working-man's political right to question the validity of the system, quite the opposite, those who are the beneficiaries of the status-quo system are the ones who are much more biased by the benefits they receive from it, and stand to lose if it is changed: While I stand to benefit a little if my income is not directly taxed by the Federal government, the Establishment apologists stand to lose much more than I stand to gain, that is, their vested-interests in this discussion which would bias/distort their perspective are vastly larger than my own. So, they should not raise the "you just don't want to pay taxes" red-herring in order to accuse dissenters of special-pleading, because that will snap back in their face a thousand times over. In all likelihood, I've paid most of the taxes that I will ever pay in my working life. I stand to gain very little from changing the national tax system. However, my children are just starting out their working lives. 100 years ago, a typical American was paying something on the order of 2-5% taxes, all told, whether through sales taxes, income taxes, whether State or Federal. Today, just 100 short years later, the typical American just starting out in their working life is easily paying ten times the rate that our great-grandparents were paying, and why? We have modern technology, we have the Internet, we have AI, we have all of these modern developments that should have driven down the costs of all aspects of life, especially those related to public infrastructure but, instead, we have been on a trajectory where the State is taking an ever-larger share of our real product, year-by-year. So where the promise of technological progress was that the common man, the typical household would become more and more wealthy as a byproduct of the overflowing abundance made possible through technology, what has actually happened instead is that more and more of the real product of the nation is captured by the welfare-warfare state and literally set fire in the desert overseas, or squandered on doomed, short-lived public-works projects like Pruitt-Igoe. In a nation where probably less than 10% of households could scrape together $100,000 in a life-crisis situation, we have dozens of billions of dollars flowing overseas to Ukraine and everywhere else in the world like money grows on trees. This insanity has been facilitated by the central bank, and the central bank was made possible only by national taxation without representation, established by the wholly-political 16th Amendment. It appears that I was born at the very last generation to at least break-even in this insane, century-long social-engineering project. My children are almost certainly facing a lifetime of destitution and dispossession. So, I don't want to hear it with this "you just want lower taxes" BS. While I would not turn down lower taxes, my primary motivation has nothing to do with the relatively minor benefit that elimination of direct national taxation would have on my own remaining paychecks until retirement. The Establishment-apologists, however, keep raking in those comfy 6-figure MIC-lobbyist salaries while the US MIC blows up the sunshine in deserts all around the world....
