Sure. The MW, like all internentionist measures, is either useless or harmful. It either has no effect on the economy (useless) or it prevents legitimate economic activity that makes all of our lives better (harmful). The MW is an "unbacked price-floor". Since the government does not buy up the surplus labor caused by the over-pricing of low-skill labor, the only real effect of the MW is merely to ban completely legitimate employment/work that would have been voluntarily performed between $0 and $MW, but for the MW. This ban does not benefit customers, if anything, it can only raise prices. It does not benefit businesses, if anything, it can only narrow profit margins. And it does not benefit workers since the only effect it has is to prevent people who would have voluntarily taken a job paying somewhere between $0 and $MW from doing so. Thus, the only people who profit from the MW are the political demagogues on the platform waving to the crowd under bright-lights, kissing babies and self-congratulating themselves for "raising the minimum wage". There are a tiny number of people whose work-value is just marginally above $MW (not profitable to fire them) but who were earning just below $MW (but not much below, since then they would have just gone to work elsewhere and gotten a pay-raise) prior to the MW hike. This tiny number of people genuinely benefit from the MW-increase in the sense in which the MW is proposed to the public. But the total social costs of the MW, when properly accounted, are staggering. Devastating your economy for the benefit of a tiny handful of workers who were "underpaid" by $0.50/hr. is utter insanity. Some of the biggest lobbyists for the MW are the unions, which is odd when you think about it. They bill it out as though they are just generally representing "all" workers, but they specifically don't, that's what a union is all about! So, why all of this interest in MW workers? It is because a high MW "saws through the bottom rungs of the ladder", meaning, it makes it harder for young workers to acquire the skills that highly-skilled union workers currently have. In turn, this makes those skills even more scarce, and generally helps pad the high wages of union workers. Thus, unions are some of the strongest proponents of MW laws even though no union worker has ever earned a MW, and no MW-worker has ever been part of a union, in fact, they are among the very "rate-busters" which unions are willing to violently attack!! PS: This is basically the cliff's notes of the chapter on MW in Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell. PPS: Another way to understand the distorting effect of the MW is to look at it from the perspective of someone in an entry-level position who has just gotten their first raise. You were hired at MW, you put in a year of work, and you got promoted and now you are making MW+$2. Awesome. Recent newhires are making $2 less than you are today, however, a MW law gets passed and they will now be making what you are making, despite only being on the job for a few weeks. Now, granted, your boss will likely give you a raise next year, but will it be the full $2 (actually for parity, it needs to be based on ratio, so slightly more than $2). Probably not. Not to mention, you're now 2 years in, rather than just 1 year. Thus, those who are slightly experienced, and earning just above MW, are among the people who are injured the worst by the MW. And note the irony that these are the very people that MW-campaigners often hold up as examples of the people they claim to be helping. Sorry mate, giving my less experienced coworkers a $2 pay raise and wiping out the $2 difference that I've worked for a year or two to earn through promotions isn't helping me, it's slapping me in the face for my diligence...

While you're correct we must never take our eye off the ball -- the Federal Reserve -- there is an entire ecosystem surrounding the Fed, which is basically the Swamp + the useful-idiot Left (the morons calling for things like $50 MW). These two work together, because the Fed by itself would be politically vulnerable. So, it needs to surround itself with a very robust crowd of devotees and sycophants, even if most people in that crowd have no idea what exactly they are devoted to or who is calling the shots. All they really know is that they put loyalty in to the System, and they get goodies out of the System. In a central banking fiat-money economy, the central bank is far and away the primary cause of inflation. But there are many contributory causes of inflation. Obviously, raising the MW contributes to inflation. Raising MW is an interventionist measure, and so it is clear that interventions are what actually make the problem of inflation even worse. The market is constantly moving toward supply-demand equilibrium, that's the only thing it really knows how to do. The interventionists take some drastic measure like massively raising the MW, then they want to blame the market for trying to arbitrage the drastic change they just made. But that's the only thing the market ever really does. "Greedy corporations are raising their prices, causing inflation!" Well, they couldn't raise the prices prior to the MW hike, and they were just as "greedy and evil" prior to that change as they are today. So, the only variable that has disrupted the prior ceteris paribus in the market is the MW hike itself. Obviously, then, it is the MW which is contributing to the rise in prices after an MW hike. MW increases are an exacerbating factor riding on top of inflation caused by central-bank money-printing.

The root problem is that we're trying to use the wrong tool for the wrong job. The State cannot enforce such a law, even if they pass it. It's just an exercise in virtue-signaling and political posturing. It's the legislative equivalent of baby-kissing. It plays back in the home district. This kind of moral policing used to be the domain of the church, and that is its proper domain. The church cannot have you executed or imprisoned, and that is precisely why it is the right tool for policing these kinds of fuzzy, hard-to-define moral problems in society. I don't want to live in a society where simulating sex with children is common/accepted. I'm just fine with that being something that is marginalized and "oppressed"/suppressed. It should be suppressed. Just not by the State, at least, not until there is an actual tort against someone (a living child sexually assaulted). In those cases, the machinery of the State may need to be involved in order to root out evil from the community. So, the church is the proper place for this kind of thing, where you want to suppress the behavior for legitimate moral and social reasons, but the behavior itself does not amount to a crime and really should have nothing to do with the State whatsoever. And since the vast bulk of immoral behavior fits in this category (of things that society really should suppress, but which do not amount to actual tortious crimes), this means that the church is a vital part of a healthy social order where "we can have nice things". Kicking the church out of this role, and substituting the State instead, leads to the present insanity. In the X/Twitter documentary linked in the OP, the "trans" dude that gets interviewed argues that since the male genitalia were not actually exposed during a lewd public dance performance, in front of children, it is not illegal and, therefore, there is nothing to apologize for. His reasoning is that the lewd performance is not illegal, and therefore he does not need to make any moral assessment of it. This clearly demonstrates what legalism/pharisaism really is and why, of all the people he could have chosen to debate/oppose, it was the legalists/Pharisees that Jesus primarily argued against. Former NSA director Michael Hayden said it best: "Give me the box you will allow me to operate in. I’m going to play to the very edges of that box." That is a golden definition of legalism. And "the State is the public conscience" is the highest possible manifestation of legalism. And it leads directly to the present social schizophrenia where you have people doing decade-long stints in Federal prison for importing the wrong length of lobster-tails, which isn't even against US law, meanwhile, you have dudes shaking their shaved ass in a thong in front of toddlers in the public park, and arguing, "my dick didn't slip out of the thong, so I didn't break the law." Something's gotta give...

    1) AI image-generation -> virtual CP (legal, already being done today) 2) Robot sex dolls -> obvious where this is going 3) Where this gets scary is when the AI/robotics moves out into the public space. "Role-playing" suddenly takes on a whole new meaning -- it won't be "trans" dudes in dresses anymore, it will be robotic humanoids acting out various scenarios that The Agenda wants to soften up kids' minds for. Being in the public-space, such shows will be unavoidable and being done by robots, there's no one to charge with lewdness/indecency. When it arrives, it will be the ultimate advertising/PR/push campaign... Don't shoot me, I'm just a messenger...

No doubt, Vernon Howell ("David Koresh") was a monster and a freak and the Waco Davidians were a hive of sexual perverts who were stretching the definition of pedophilia as far as it can be stretched under the law, or in any other way... But no matter how evil the ring-leaders, the solution to the problem was absolutely not barbecuing those poor children alive. Doesn't really matter who started the fire, either -- there was no need to create an emergency situation out of nothing, just as they previously did in Ruby Ridge (which was one of the reasons why the Davidians were so wary of the Feds). And no matter how great a pretense the ATF et. al. make that this was all just a tragic situation where they were following the law, but the cultists went out of control and burned themselves alive, the fact is that the primary purpose of the Waco incident was to instill the fear of the Feds into the Christian conservative Right in the US. Which it did. I was there. I saw it. And I saw the devastation it wreaked in our communities. I am gaslighting-proof. This is one eyewitness that you cannot simply wave away with Jedi mind-tricks...

Nailed it. It was a surprisingly diverse mix, to use the new-fangled terminology. Back then, it was just considered kooky. Note that Perry Jones was right up there with Martin, in terms of the hierarchy. Only Koresh was higher than them. Here's the most comprehensive list I've found online (now memory-holed). Screenshot for reference: And the survivors, for completeness: WACO, Texas -- The following people survived the fire that destroyed the Branch Davidian compound Monday, apparently killing cult leader David Koresh and 85 of his followers:

PS: I have struggled with this very question, believe me. It is a difficult question. If you want to understand the "spiritual root" of it, why God has placed us here, as men, with our capability to defend the innocent (physically), yet there is this strange tension in the church Age where physical violence is of no use to God's Kingdom (John 18:10,11,36), the key is in the book of Exodus: The priesthood is, always has been, and always will be, exclusively male. This passage is one of the reasons why. It is a dread thing, and this is why it is not often talked about. In the limit, discipline within the body means the shedding of blood. But only God has the authority to direct such a dread thing. Everything other than obeying God's direct command in such matters is vigilantism, and wickedness. Nevertheless, when God calls for it, the blood indeed must flow, "Without shedding of blood is no remission of sin." (Heb. 9:22b)

You're misunderstanding me. If we are called to physical defense of the innocent -- and we may yet be -- we will know what to do, because God will make it clear in that moment what is to be done. But these are mere skirmishes in the actual war which has defined the entire Age since the Fall, and the final showdown will have nothing to do with bullets and bombs. The final showdown is going to be when the church is called to stand face-to-face against the armies of the Beast. And the Beast is going to win every battle but the last one, which will be the slaughter of Rev. 19:21ff, the great unholy feast. Preparing for that war is much more important than stocking up ammo. You can do both -- definitely have ammo on hand to provide for the defense of the innocent -- but the world is not even remotely as haphazard as we tend to imagine. The closer you think to "WE ARE WATCHING A MOVIE" (Q), the closer you are to the Truth. Except, it's not merely a movie, we're not merely an audience. We are in the movie, and we are part of it, and how we react to it matters. In particular, how we react to sin within ourselves, and in our homes, and in our churches and communities... matters. There will be no room for self-righteous, egotistical pharisaism in the coming war. This is the great sin of the church, and always has been. Eradicating that sin, is Project #1... it's the single biggest heap of work that must be done in preparation for the final showdown with the armies of the Beast. As long as the church coddles self-righteous pride within itself, as long as we individually coddle the sins of polite-society, the sins that any decent person has (supposedly), the devil will continue to walk right through us like we're not even there. The Beast Agenda will advance in unhalting, double-time lockstep, without even the slightest headwind of resistance. The flames that will actually destroy the Beast and his armies are the flames of God's holiness in us. This is why the entire project of the New Testament church, the entire goal of Christianity, is individual and collective holiness (see 2 Peter 3 again). Holiness is not merely "not doing naughty things", as we often tend to think. It includes that, but it is not merely that. Holiness is like drilling for dress parade. It is having everything worked out, thought out, prepared, ready for any eventuality, ready for the rain, snow, sleet, hail, while maintaining discipline and dress code. Judgment Day will be inspection in full dress uniform. You're either to-code (holy), or you're not. And on that day, those who are at war with God will be exposed for the rebels and traitors that they have secretly been all along. Their fake churchianity will not save them. (And make no mistake, the worst-of-the-worst are hiding in plain sight, right within the church. "For we are not unaware of his schemes.", 2 Cor. 2:11) They will not be found by God in proper dress, and they will be cast into hell. I'm not making up this metaphor, Jesus himself gave it: The wedding clothes are holiness, not merely the holiness of justification in the Cross, but also the holiness of sanctification, being transformed by the Holy Spirit into the image of Jesus, 2 Cor. 3:18. We are to be holy warriors for God, that is what the New Testament teaches. We do not (normally) wield swords, because our enemy is not flesh-and-blood. There are those who are flesh-and-blood who have thrown in their lot with the Enemy. But only God can see that with perfect vision (and perfect vision is required in this matter), so we bring the Gospel to the world not merely in the hope of salvation, but also as God's agent of damnation of all who are secretly loyal to Satan, (the Gospel condemns those who reject it, see Luke 19:44, 11:47-51; Matt. 12:31, John 17:12, 2 Thess. 2:11,12, Heb. 10:28,29, and many others.) As the old saying goes, When the tide goes out, you see who's been swimming naked. That is how it will be at the Last Day, and we are...

I've explained in other posts that what the early church taught and practiced, and what the Bible teaches, is that every day is judgment day, and we are to live accordingly. We believers merely "join in" to the ongoing process. There is also coming a final Judgment Day. No man knows the day and the hour, but equally important, and frequently overlooked, is that no man knows today is not the day, nor that this hour is not the hour. Thus, God's justice and God's wrath are not something that is being "delayed", this is why Peter says, "God is not slow concerning his promises ". Finally, everyone is going to the resurrection upon their bodily death, so whether Judgment Day proper begins for you today, or on a future day when you die, it will not be delayed any longer than your bodily death. This is why Jesus said, "I am coming Soon" despite the fact that it was going to be a long historical process. The Bible is clear that the material accounting of the wicked begins even in this life. God opposes wickedness everywhere and always. The only reason that he has not yet dropped the hammer, as he surely will at the Last Judgment, is because there are still sheep among the goats, which he is saving. That is the only reason, and this is why only God knows the day and the hour, because only he knows the number of the sheep. People who date-set contradict Scripture. Scripture tells us to Keep Watch of the signs. There are generic signs like wars and earthquakes, and the excitable have gotten themselves in a frenzy over these signs in every generation. WW2 surely must have seemed like the end of the world to many people in their day. But That Day, when it comes, will be unmistakable, like the finale of a fireworks show. Nobody has to tell you, "this is the finale", it's obvious. Believers are to watch the signs in order to see the day approaching, and so prepare themselves to meet the infinite, holy God and Creator of all who truly punishes the damned in hell for eternity. You don't show up for that unprepared unless you're a fool. The modern false-teaching that we can't do anything to prepare for Judgment Day and we just have to live our lives with our heads down and just take the surprise when it comes, has no basis in the text, and is directly contradicted throughout the text. We are to actively watch the signs in order to see the day approaching, and prepare accordingly.

The CURE is coming... The radical Left keeps doing "studies" on "right-wing anger" "conservative rage" and the like. This is supposed to be taken as some kind of presumption of guilt among conservatives in the court of public opinion. Why would the radical Left want to do "studies" like this, if we weren't a bunch of explosively unstable TNT-heads? But the real reason for all of these bullshit "investigations" and "studies" is that the radical Left is doing things that ought to anger anyone, and will anger the mass of the public when they are eventually exposed. Make no mistake, God has already placed protection on the little children so that the psychopaths among us cannot harm the innocent (Matt. 18:10), nor are they able to do all the evil that they intend to do, or anything close to it. Nevertheless, they are doing real evil, and they are doing it on a scale that staggers the imagination, because they are doing it under the umbrella and protection of otherwise legitimate authority. That's the only way to commit evil on a grand scale -- there have to be corrupt authorities at the very highest level who are providing cover for it. And there are. We know this not through wild speculation, but because Scripture tells us that there are, Eph 6:12, Rev. 12:4,7, et. al. Are we angry? No, anger is not the right word for it. They're trying to make us mad so we do something stupid and they can come out looking like the injured victims in all of this. But I'm too angry to get mad. No, it's not anger, it's not rage, it's holy wrath. There is no other word for it. The wrath of God burns within my chest day and night, and not on the basis of hearsay printed in the worthless FAKE news headlines. No, the basis for that burning wrath within my chest is what I observe with my own eyes and ears. And that blast-furnace of wrath in my chest is not mine alone. There are many others who have awakened to what has really been going on, not for months or years, not since "the Woke Agenda", not even for decades, but for centuries. The body of the righteous, those who are in Jesus and being purified by his Holy Spirit in preparation for the Day of Wrath, are a dry tinderbox. May God damn every one of them who does not repent and turn to Jesus. That may sound outrageous to you, but it will become the universal refrain of everyone who has not joined these reprobates in what they are really doing, do not doubt it!! (Rom. 3:8, Rev 16:7, Rev 19:2, Rev. 6:10, et. al.) This is what the radical Left does not understand. They think that Left/Right refers to their worthless political dialectic which they invented to control the dialogue with deception, the art of which they learned from their father, the father of lies. But no, it does not refer to politics, it refers to the coming judgment of God. God has appointed this, because he is Sovereign over all, and those who fight against him are but grasshoppers and fools:
