What are the alternatives? Genuinely asking. Half of the cities and states won't comply with Trump. Can we entrust municipalities to enforce this? How does the Trump admin go about deporting millions of illegals otherwise? Will they take the long form approach that Ron championed of getting rid of the various benefits like marriage, birth, etc.?

Isn't there a factoid that basically without CA and New York, Dems wouldn't win the presidency and senate, like ever? Something along those lines. Effectively, if we did not have the Electoral College system, 1-2 states would be deciding every election for everyone. Thomas Jefferson and the other founders were so aware of this and wanted to protect the minority from the tyranny of the majority; namely protecting the rural areas from the urban. It was genius.

If it were only this simple for millions of people. Maybe if rail were a real thing in this country (even then, they'd probably still be governed and policed by the same exact resources). The actual libertarian personalities and politicians have their own subforums here but don't get very much traffic. And the GOP is arguably experiencing its biggest shift right now since Ron Paul due to MAGA. After years of not caring and not taking MAGA seriously, I appreciate MAGA actually taking the GOP further right as it fights tooth and nail to split from the uni-party. That's due to Trump... Other than that, what has the LP done besides put up embarrassments? They had their chance with Dave but the leftist element within it snatched it back and created a situation that will probably set the LP back 10+ years. Some libertarians are having to come crawling back to the GOP now or going Indy. We've been homeless.

It's basically like Drudge before Drudge went left after Trump. Besides resources like this one and the super small list above, I'm really not sure anymore. I can no longer recommend Reason. They used to be half-decent but they're fully co-opted by the left now.

It's been trending that way for awhile now. It's largely becoming urban vs. rural/suburban. It might have been the same podcast (maybe with Theo Von where they said it?) but he also mentioned that the cities are all in a trance. A leftist trance, to be specific. All of us have known this for years but I was glad to hear someone like him finally come out and say it. He also made the connection with universities and their proximity to cities and them being a large reason why so many people in urban areas are left leaning. They aren't "educated" people, per se. They are indoctrinated and are told they are the smartest people in the room by their commie professors. The other major reason is ethnic minorities like blacks are focused in the inner cities and have been voting left for decades due to the Dems promises of free shit.

The fascinating thing is how many turn right back around and come back within 6 months... I'll always be an advocate for bringing out troops home and building defensive bases at certain areas along our borders...

The Trump admin will probably deport around 1,000,000. I think that'll be their magic number to claim a decent enough success and show the U.S. that they actually did something. Make no mistake, deporting 1,000,000 is better than nothing but it's a far cry from what's needed. And I don't even believe every single one needs to be gone, but certainly millions do need to take a hike. What lefties don't realize is having upwards of 10,000,000+ illegals is helping drive up costs of everything else, including housing. There's nothing unreasonable with expecting a "first world country" in the 21st century to have some type of immigration control.

I was listening this morning to a talk radio show about a very pertinent detail: he and his team have 18 months to enact as much as they can AND begin transitioning to the midterms in 2026 AND start lining up whoever will "succeed" Trump as the GOP presidential candidate(s). Be it Vance, Tulsi, et. al. Expect an extremely busy 18 months of Trump and his team doing most of what they've said they were going to. I can't speak from experience for simple reasons (the most important being that I'm not a woman) and I don't believe this of every one of these women but... I genuinely believe the majority of these female leftists have never experienced a hard day in their lives. They've never had to forage for food, carry water a mile down the road, worry about the failure of a crop, etc. Most of them probably grew up within the middle class and then went onto college. And therein lies the biggest rub: they go off to college, probably go to party after party, get drunk or drugged and are then assaulted and in the worst instances, raped. This is extremely unfortunate, sad, and pathetic on the men's parts who partake but these women aren't wholly innocent and I think they benefit living in a society where they're almost always given the benefit of the doubt. Couple the drunken parties where they're assaulted, etc. with their "empowering" commie professors (who also have never had a hard day in their lives) who preach about Marx, communism, abortion, etc. and voila! You have generations of these radically left women who start making potions and threatening to kill men because they can't have their abortions. It's all a bit nuts and I'm really trying to wrap my head around why abortion is such a big deal with Democrats.

I can't say I've ever really been "pro-life" and I do believe that the easiest way around that question is to take the Ron route and say "leave it up to the states" but this is just asinine at this point. These women really just want the ability to rip the unborn out of them for THEM making poor ass decisions in their lives. It's not that hard to get contraceptives, or God forbid, keep your legs closed or choose better company...

I have never considered myself "MAGA" (still don't) and my leanings toward Trump are very much more about being contrarian to what the mainstream and establishment have told us how we should think about him. Yea, after years of being ignored all of the sudden Ron and his platform of years past is getting attention and I really wonder how genuine it is. Why now? Why did people start listening now? If nothing else, I really do hope the mainstream media continues its death. I know there's been rumors of CNN being bought out, but who knows? It'd be great to get a truly objective news network on cable television, or at least one that presents multiple angles consistently and fairly.
