Yes, we'll start seeing legitimate suicides rise in western nations and also cases of being suicided rise as well. Always happens in times like these.

I've been thinking that one of the responses that will come out of this is a fully mandatory register (even though they basically have these already) that tallies the last x amount of places all people have traveled to and in "situations" like these, police will show up to your door to isolate you via quarantine for "everyone's community benefit." Scary to think, but remember, in every crisis we all emerge a little less free. They take it piece by piece in times when fear is rampant. We're getting to the end of the rope now though, where there isn't much left to take.

Felt the need to get a few things off my chest that have been bothering me as of late for some silly reason(s). When this all started, we saw Cuomo crying and begging like a child for federal assistance, going so far as to request a federal response nationwide for the Covid crisis. This went on for a few days, maybe even weeks. He's now quoted as saying a federal response, at least the one Trump proposed, is on unconstitutional grounds and could set up a federal vs. states type of showdown that he doesn't believe in. Ah, now he believes in States rights? So, which is it, governor? Make up your mind you loony lefty. You see, this has always been one of my chief issues with leftists in general - they don't really know what they want so they just yell, and then when someone responds they respond back with "I want the other thing now!" In the middle of all of this, he's been criticizing Trump for not having some type of national responses, despite for weeks only NYC, Seattle, and CA having a concerning number of cases (recall this has been going on now for weeks and I'm pulling various things from memory). So why have a fully national response to something that was, in fact, relatively localized at the time? And now there's talks of the Democrats wanting to draft him to take on Trump?! What has he done besides cry like a child and throw insults at Trump (because remaining divided by party lines in a time like this is more important and all) that has many believing he's a credible leader? I see nothing but a spineless politician who can't see anything outside of blue tinted glasses.

Big kudos to Massie for his efforts here. He has my support, for what it's worth. He summed it up perfectly: biggest spending bill in history and not a single recorded vote… And what about the $11 billion I read was going to some African development funds? And this is why we cannot trust our benevolent government.

Let's all take a moment to remember that if any one right leaning were to have said this about a Democrat/leftist, there'd be a bigger firestorm and likely MSM coverage of it. Gotta love the dystopia we're living in.

The nanny-states like New York and Illinois are proving their own incompetence while also trying to drag Trump through the mud ("never let a crisis go to waste") by saying the response should have been from the federal level from the beginning; the federal government needs to step in with the military, etc. The truth has been, so far, that the areas w/ large Chinese/Asian populations and/or high density have been hit harder (namely Seattle, L.A., and NYC, obviously) and it has spread far more slowly elsewhere in the U.S. So, in those scenarios, the states should be able to handle things, with maybe minimal assistance from the Federal level. Furthermore, the media, leftists, et.al. have been asking the question "Why wasn't the White House/Trump more prepared for this?" without asking why they themselves, or their state governments, etc. weren't more prepared. You see, this is yet another fine example of sheep waiting to be led then complaining when they've been led to a part of the pasture they don't like/want and are incapable of doing anything themselves but bleating. So, on one hand, we're seeing the incompetence of these state "leaders," who have preached of their states being safe havens and bastions of socialized welfare, play out beautifully. On the other, they are quite clearly using this outbreak as a way to attack Trump. The latter makes me think part of this has been jumped up by the media and Dems to make Trump look bad in their bid to get him out of the WH in an election year. And I need to throw on a disclaimer, even on this site - I didn't vote for Trump, and don't believe in voting in Federal elections anymore. I am not a fan of his, but I'm also capable of seeing the biases and petty attempts to smear him when in all honesty, I'm not sure there could have been a better response laid out weeks in advance. This stuff just happens and no country has been "prepared" for it. Not one. So to expect Trump/U.S.A. to be any different is short-sighted. I'm also seeing increased calls and whines for socialized healthcare in response to this. How, exactly, would that help this situation at this time? It's a guarantee we'd see all hospitals filled up by now because anyone w/ a small cough would have got in line, even if they didn't need to, to gain "admission" to the "Mercy Federal Hospital of Bernie Sanders."

I think there's still room to go down after today. I'm not convinced this market doesn't touch the 16's before starting to head back up slowly. However, it will still be in a relative state of volatility, like a baby learning to walk. It's gonna stumble and bumble because it's on unproven foundations. And right when it gets to walking, then jogging, the rug will be pulled out again. Anyway, inflation is coming. One thing I'm not certain about is how bad it will be, but it's gonna come.

Everyone is in panic liquidation mode, thus leading to everything being down. Apparently PMs became hard to get over night (my order over the weekend went through and was received just fine) and dealers are running low on stock across the country from what I've been reading. Gold and silver will probably start rising within the next 1-2 weeks at respectable levels, if not sooner. So many things are in play right now though. That stupid $2,000 "stimulus" that's supposedly coming to every American tickled some investors bums today, but this hasn't bottomed out yet.

Yes, the world has lost its collective mind. Maybe this is something completely manufactured, maybe it's not. I have no idea at this point. I think it's been completely overblown, but I also believe there needs to be some serious thought and precautions with this from what I've gathered. The more I read, the more it appears that lockdowns are the only thing that has prevented this thing from getting out even more. Something to keep in mind is the East Asian countries go through this stuff rather often. It's one of the reasons many of them wear masks to begin with. Apparently, whenever there's sickness going around, they all start wearing masks and limit outside exposure as part of their culture, particularly in Japan and South Korea. The full lockdown in Wuhan was next level stuff though, even for most East Asians.

Yep. It all happened so quickly that I've come to two conclusions: they've bene planning this and achieved the effects they wanted or they are so stupid and panicked and are now left with their thumbs up their butts wondering what comes next.

sociopaths run the world and have access to this type of thing. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if this was a CIA, Chinese, Russian, etc. weapon that was a) being developed for later use and accidentally escaped or b) was put on purpose as a trial run. It's becoming less and less likely, in my opinion, that this was caused by a few Wuhan folks eating some bats. It's possible, but I don't know. This whole thing smells so bad.

I think I was listening to Jason Stapleton's podcast recently where he said "hoarding in the city is just setting the big dog up with free things." It was something along those lines. Basically, if you're incapable of defending your hoard, someone else is gonna get it.

The same thoughts have gone through my mind. It's all orchestrated as such. One big drill to see how we react. Funny thing is, I've overheard a couple people at my office say the same thing - they feel this is so surreal that the only plausible explanation is this is one big experiment.

The Fed blew their load less than a minute in. Now they have nothing left. And all this means for the rest of us is that we're screwed. Can be the quickest way to civil war, which may be the exact thing the powers that be want out of all of this. You know, population control and all that jazz.

Yep, so the question becomes, what have, or what will, they be doing while all of us are stuck inside? There is an endgame here from the gov't and corporations (both). Something will definitely be done that lessens our "freedom" once this is all said and done. It.happens.with.every.crisis.

Good thoughts, and this is where my mind has mostly been as of late. It's perplexing and interesting to watch the responses to this. I can't help but think one of two things: 1. This is something potentially very bad and could be the "big one" that's been talked about for so long that wipes out a sizable chunk of the world population (which is almost too coincidental given the state of where we're at with the climate change talks + overpopulation, etc.). 2. This is being used as some segue by world governments, state governments, etc. to further push themselves into our lives under the guise of safety. Much akin to 9/11, the shoe bomber, etc. The evidence is already overwhelming on this one. I've been floating around a third option that goes into tinfoil hat territory, which I know many of us love on here. That would be this is mainly media driven in a bid to wreck the economy, pressure Trump with his response to this, and shake the foundations.
