Most of us are probably already on some list just for being on this website or for some other reason. That's not going to stop me from sending a snarky correspondence to my representative/senator. At the end of the day, at least I'll be able to say I tried, for whatever that's worth. Telling my "elected" politicians to quit bombing brown children, quit giving handouts to billionaires or corrupt Ukraine, leave guns alone, etc. does have some satisfaction.

He's controlled opposition! /s That was always a popular one. It's a possibility but I find it unlikely. Although, I became more skeptical of him whenever he went on Piers Morgan years ago and acted like a complete fool... He's had a lot of predictions that have come true, so give him that.

I agree. They're incredibly stupid and usually fail to capitalize on moments such as now to get out the vote. They are out of touch and that's what pushed a lot of people to stay Dem or go Indy. And MAGA people thinking there will be a red wave are stupid. The Biden admin will trot out student loan forgiveness at the most opportune time. They'll run on the abortion platform which will nab most women, and they'll keep nailing Trump up on the wall. In time, with full majorities of leftist Dems, we'll start seeing moves against the Supreme Court to stack it or make modifications, more socialist spending, etc. This is why if anyone wants a chance to fight, join the GOP, turn it to liberty and promote liberty candidates. We did get Massie, Amash, and Rand in with those strategies which is far more than the Libertarian Party can say.

I've been reaching out to my representatives and senators lately a bit more than I usually have in years past. And when I craft my messages I simply don't care what comes out. I'm pretty much going in unfiltered (with respect and not using coarse language, of course) when sending them correspondences now. It's fun, I guess?

People can try to deny all they want but the truth right now, in this moment in time, is the GOP holds more people and views like ours than the Democrats. The Democrats are going full leftist with control of culture (media, entertainment, etc.) and we're seeing the societal decay because of this. I'll go stand with some MAGA dorks over Antifa/BLM/Socialist/AOC/LGBTQXYZ Mafia types 8 days out 7. I may be holding my nose while standing there, but you understand the greater point by now.

Because I hate seeing people who are just like me spin their tires into something that won't get them anywhere (that irony isn't lost on me with this GOP strategy either... I get it). That's all. If I can get 5 libertarians to reconsider spending their time and effort into the LP/MC and instead into the GOP (which dominates where I live, so there's much more strategic value there), then I'll call that a success. But, in truth, the LP and MC will turn into another fan club, issue fancy press releases that get all 10,000 people excited, and the GOP and Dems will still have the floor. Edit: I know it's not going to be any use debating with you so please keep doing your thing and I'll do mine. The LP is not the answer. The LP will never be popular. Liberty is not popular. Politics is power and libertarians (as a whole) don't want to lord over others. Do you see that contradiction?

No, I don't think voting Trump is the whole answer, either. Politics is power. The LP has none. Why divest time, money, and resources to the LP at this point in time? I'm tired of seeing that attempted as it's a complete waste of time. The Mises Caucus people (God bless them, I do wish them the best) are turning the LP into their fan club now. Is that a bad thing? I don't think so. It beats what was going on. But even with the MC in charge... THE LP HAS NO POWER. The LP can't do jack squat with politics. They'd be better off trying to influence Republicans like Ron Paul wanted us to do but we failed to follow up on it in a meaningful way. There was one solid attempt with the TEA Parties (and those were co-opted) and after that, everyone took their ball and went home. Meanwhile, neocons and globalists got in nice and cozy with both the GOP and Dems. It seems like these exact conversations pop up weekly or monthly on this forum and within liberty/libertarian circles. It's so dang old and I'm even typing all of this out with a look of disgust on my face (not directed at you, by the way) because I know most of our methods and plans are futile in this system. But, I do think tides can be turned or delayed with enough political force at certain levels. We've seen it happen. I think I'm just going to try and influence locally as much as possible and vote for the most liberty-oriented candidates on the ballots at local and state levels. Federal level elections are pretty much lost for our types. There's been some success with Amash, Massie, and Rand, but we haven't had much else since them.

In bold right there is the hard truth a lot of us need to learn to swallow. If the LP 10Xs their enrollment over the next 2-4 years, guess what? They're still many measures below Independent party numbers. I wish people would see this and understand it.

It's as the OP put it: the GOP is simply counting on Biden's unpopularity to win instead of doing a double pronged attack. They are incredibly stupid and have been for decades. One thing I know right now is that whenever I vote it won't be a for a Democrat and I will be voting for the furthest right/most liberty oriented names on the ballots. And libertarians trying to be cool and saying "I'm not voting for the lesser of two evils" or one of its many variations refuse to provide adequate options outside of that. And no, joining the LP and "educating" people ain't cutting it in case you haven't seen. People have underestimated the number of Democrats in this country. They dominate literally every large city. They won't be turned for anything and I've seen every single one say they will proudly vote for Biden over Trump again in 24 if those are the tickets.

It's rooted in white patriarchal supremacy from an era where gender was black and white. From the letters to the original hypotheses, etc. And we simply need to understand that how we feel today doesn't conform to that. Feelings trump facts in these here 2020s. That's what they'll tell us, anyway. And most of them will genuinely believe that themselves.

Stopped reading half way through because the author then goes on to list out a bunch of political points that he/she just spent the first half railing against. The only thing that came to my mind regarding changing policy is that you're not going to fool D.C. by putting a trojan horse costume on and saying "we're not liberty oriented, we're just here to change policy." And ultimately, you change policy by changing the culture. This is something the so called "post-libertarians" have been trying to say for the last 2-3 years: you want real change? Change the culture. Become an influencer. Get rich, own your own companies, start parallel institutions, have big families, don't be 100% reliant on the existing systems. Once you're there and you have some clout, whip it out and start changing the culture.

I was thinking about this last night and remembered someone had posted a thread about it. What are we supposed to think when he see this and then see the so called "leaders" of this world? They are all evil and hubris driven. Perhaps some are truly well-intended but far too often those good intentions lead to ruin of some sort. So, does God appoint leaders? If so, is he trying to show us the folly of man? Is he trying to show us that having faith in man and not Him will always lead to the same outcomes? I mean, Joe Biden... God appointed this guy, eh? Brings up so many questions...

My synopsis of it (so far, although there is a part two also linked below that I haven't read yet) is that Christians really have no earthly nation and are wanderers and have to figure out how get by within different parameters. Bolded the most important part here. 2020-today has perhaps an immeasurable amount of evidence that proves this true. And I'm done arguing with libertarians here, there, and everywhere who still want to say "everyone's a libertarian, they just don't know it!" or "liberty is popular, we have to spread the message!" The media won't care what DeSantis has to say either way. They'll spin everything so it doesn't really matter. The GOP, however, is always about 20 years too late in their strategies. They need to embrace chaos and bulldogs, which is what they fought the entire time against Trump. That came back to bite them, and we, the American people, big time. Say what you will about Trump - that he was a pawn, that he's one of them, etc. I'm not sure I'd be able to disagree, but for whatever his part was, he did it well enough that they're still gunning for him and his supporters. The regime doesn't want the "deplorables" around. And whether he's the acting face for them or not, there's something about the Trump presidency that sure seems like it wasn't "supposed" to happen. The Deep State (Swamp) was exposed during his presidency. We know its there now without a doubt. So, I'll agree with you in that we should still be respectful, be righteous, and not so quick to judge (although I do that all of the time, especially on here towards leftist hordes who have forsaken everything). I FINALLY HAD TIME! Great episode... Anyway, this is interesting isn't it? I haven't been aware of nuclear attack drills or warnings in the recent years, so why the need to do this now? And they're still lying about this stuff about "surviving" a nuclear attack? They need to just be honest and say if something goes off within x miles of you, you're dead. Don't quote me, but if we want to take the religious aspect of this, Russia is arguably "home" to the Christian Eastern Orthodox Church which is gaining power and influence across the Western world thanks to the likes of Jonathan Pageau, Rod Dreher, and Jordan Peterson (who I think may still claim to be irreligious/atheist but has a soft spot for Christian Orthodoxy). I like the little clips I hear from Tucker. I don't watch him nor the network he's on, but every time I see some clip of his, I'm encouraged to hear that his massive audience is getting doses of truth here and there. Which makes one wonder, why is he allowed to say these things? Is he controlled opp? Is it simply the fact that his audience is too large to pull him without blowing the cover so they let him say what he wants? This is somewhat reminiscent of Glenn Beck's early days on FNC when he was covering the globalists and exposing quite a bit. He grew a big following but then went off the tracks. I think he had a drinking problem or something. Admittedly though, I have no idea what Beck's views are today as I quit listening to him shortly after he left FNC and thought he was up to simple money grabbing shenanigans and he refused to endorse Ron Paul in 2012. Which was ironic considering all of the things he covered so astutely at the time.
