Unbelievable some consider a gun grabbing Kennedy to be a libertarian.

4chan is mostly dead and barely generates any new content. Xitter has somewhat absorbed that role 4chan once upon a time was actually a fairly libertarian site overall but it doesn't really have much of an image of its own anymore. Kiwi Farms is exactly what's wrong with nu-internet. A site filled with people who want to instigate things or stalk others and nothing else.

In the age of people like Thiel, it's really important that there are places left on the internet that can call this shit out. Even 4chan, which love it or hate it, used to be a good place for speaking truth to these kinds of things, has been compromised and is ultimately dead. Xitter is a false prophet and is just a platform for the Thiel Network.

I actually partially like Reason at times, because they are more willing than others to call out the MAGA wing and I like that they don't fall too deeply into social conservatism, but the Ronald Bailey transhumanism stuff loses me.

Trump was seen as an outsider at first too. Looks more authentic that way.

I'm of the belief Thiel projected a libertarian image and funded some of Ron Paul's campaign so he could use the pre-existing momentum from it for MAGA/the technocratic right. He never seemed like a libertarian.

Huh? Ron Paul was supposed to be on Team MAGA. How could he betray us, MAGApedes?!

I post here to keep it from becoming a nuthugging forum. MIGA is being taken over by Silicon Valley and barely anyone criticizes it so might as well pull the rug out from under them on occasion with a post about it.

I'm thinking with Susie Wiles and Rick Scott being endorsed, the plan is for them to phase out neocons from the first administration under the false premise they'll be getting in good people when in reality they're just gonna put in neocons that people don't know about as much. Elon endorsing Rick Scott seems to confirm my suspicions, and Rand has never made good bedfellows. Vance was rightfully getting shit on by everyone but after the debate it seems like everyone has the wool over their eyes just because he talked competently.

Silicon Valley tyrants like Peter Thiel? Nonetheless, his proposal doesn't seem so bad. Seems long overdue to stop the government from stifling online speech.

Is he really joking? Seems like plausible deniability. These guys are openly anti-Libertarian.

He's surrounded by Thielbots and WEF plants. This "dream team" business was a big con to begin with and if they break any of their promises this isn't something that can just be ignored. Pompeo is showing up at rallies. Cotton and Kushner are being whispered.

He's 'trolling' until he isn't. He believes in and agrees with a lot of it. There are many people like him that are part of the scheme. There are records of their statements and beliefs. These people are not pro-liberty.

I hope this serves as a giant wake-up call to libertarians. They can write this off as a 'joke' but they can betray and sell you out at any time.

This thread will be very relevant to the coming years.

I'm more of a cynic regarding Musk and Vance's backgrounds, but I think in Ron Paul's position it's understandable he'd want to get his name out there as much as he can and it's smart to not make an official endorsement one way or the other.

I would be very happy to see this.

The third part has not dropped yet, but I felt like sharing this here because I think Peter Thiel has done a lot of damage to the libertarian movement and it was very refreshing to see an actual analysis of him from that perspective.
