Maybe I already am? Lol Seriously, though.... Take a few minutes to try to understand the point of that post. The only victim you can find is someone who didn't even exist at the point of the crime??? And your understanding of the way government operates thinks putting them in charge of mitigating that damage is the way to make things better? Parenting is not a victimless crime. Everyone of us does things that will damage our kids in some way. Your parents damaged you. I haven't met an undamaged person yet! I suppose we need laws for parenting now... A bureaucratic institution has no business telling people who they can wed. Most of us will get it right without them. And the ones that don't will be few. Unless we get that infernal institution involved.

^^ See this, folks?? This is what happens when people don't understand the difference. They can't make the distinction. Wanna know how the state grows?? This is the reason. Why do we have all these laws?? People really believe this argument. On both sides. Let's make laws to stop something almost no one does and the only victim is "society". Because getting the state involved will definitely make things better. I should probably thank SS for providing this example instead of berating him. The real question of this thread ought to be how do we help these poor lost souls to see that the State does not serve the will of the people. The State is a bureaucratic institution. You put that institution in charge of things it has no purpose regulating and your problems will always get worse. Always.

Must watch video here. . Very accessible for the uninitiated. Recommend sharing for those on the edge of being reasonable. If there's anyone who is out there wavering on embracing this craziness we're seeing, show 'em this. We're going to need lots of numbers to pull this off.

Right... Because if we don't have governments pointing their guns at us telling us not to do something, we might be tempted. Quick, let's pass some laws to ban hitting ourselves over the head with hammers! Maybe we need some laws telling us not to eat dog shit at the park? If you opposed to those laws, it can only be because you love yourself some dog shit! How dumb is this guy??

It's always an invigorating surprise waiting to find out if it was a terrorist, a racist, an immigrant, a sexist, a righty, a lefty, or just the gun that carried it out. Thanks for ruining the surprise. :(

Nevermind the tactics... How about the policies that led to this?! She supported all the drug laws that criminalized the lower class. She heartily supported militarizing the police. She supported the policies that make tobacco so expensive. And she called for a complete shut down of the economy that directly led George Floyd to be unemployed - causing him to try to swindle to get a pack of those expensive smokes. Such a shame to see the result of all your good intentions, eh Nancy?? Of course, she will NEVER even conceive of her complicity in this situation.

Finally. Seriously... if you need a law to prevent you from having sex with animals you have bigger issues. I'm not sure I understand the mentality of, "I'd really like to fuck my goat, but if it weren't for those damned laws!"

Get government out of marriage. Period. These freak situations are extremely rare. However, if it remains a government imperative, you can bet that they will become more common.

Textbook god complex. Once you reach a certain point, wealth becomes meaningless... But power?? Power is one of the most addictive drugs known to the human race. It alters the brain chemistry. It's the dilemma of humanity - only those who seek power gain power.

Thomas Jefferson spotted this trend 250 years ago. This was his primary impetus for the Louisiana Purchase. He spent time in Richmond, Charleston, and Philadelphia and saw first hand how population density would eventually lead us into the same problems that plagued Europe. There were other advantages (trade routes, security buffers, international affairs, price) but his main concern was to provide land for an expanding agrarian population to ensure liberty for posterity.

I got "replaced" a long time ago. And it wasn't by an immigrant. I'd argue that the government education system replaces more liberty-minded people than any immigration could. Now, I suppose if you cared about which party is in charge... But really, shouldn't the alternative be to start attracting more of the "right" kinds of immigrants? You know, the ones attracted by the idea of getting ahead on their own merits? The ones fleeing an oppressive government who want a place to breathe free? There are lots of those people in the world. The Republican party could take a stand to be pro-immigration and could turn this whole franchise around.

So, let's get this straight... You can get cancelled, fired, publicly excoriated, and ruined for refusing to use someone's "preferred pronoun", but if you call someone the bare-faced Nazi embodiment of evil in your comic books, you get rewarded? Man, I'm really gonna need that decoder ring to figure out what they mean by, "equality".

More like a sacrificial lamb. They wouldn't want the citizenry to look at the institutions. That being said, I'll lose no sleep if their foot soldiers start taking falls because of their practices. That could lead to some real change... Eventually.

Sorry, man... The way I see it is that the cops got called because a guy tried to pass off a bogus FRN to get a pack of cigs and they escalated it to the point of choking a guy out in front of a crowd. This is a law enforcement issue - not an issue with any particular cop. You can blame the victim for not being subservient enough, you can blame the crowd for getting involved, you can blame miscommunication... But ultimately, the cops turned a weak attempt at petty theft into murder.

Man, take a step back. You're seriously taking the State line on this??! The reason Chauvin "HAD" to keep him in that position is because a poor guy was laid off because of state covid policies, then he tried to swindle a pack of smokes. Then the Keystone Kop agents of the State escalated the situation into putting the guy face down in the street in front of a gathering crowd. And yes, this cop was just doing his job, as evidenced by all the other cops supporting the arrest and methods. I don't think racism had anything to do with this - this is a problem with the enforcement edicts of the State. Agents of the State murdered a citizen. Period. It's kinda sick to break it down to the last few minutes as a justification for why the cops "had" to do anything.

There's also the Finger Lakes wine country in NY and you could visit Watkins Glen. And for a 5 hour trip, you could go to Alexandria Bay, NY and go explore some of the castles in the Thousand Islands region... I was there 2 weeks ago and the ice was almost all melted.

I took an interesting ad hoc road trip crisscrossing NE a couple of years ago... Lake George, NY is cool and you could spend easily spend a few days there. Although, with the Covid nuts, you may want to avoid NY. If you like exercise, I'd recommend Mt Mansfield in Vermont. It's a hell of a climb, but the area is beautiful. Or you could hike and camp in the White Mountains in NH and drive up Mt Washington. You could easily spend a few days in Bar Harbor, ME and Acadia (seemed kinda expensive to me and "resort-ish", but there's plenty to do.) If you're after history, Concord Mass is great. Quaint downtown area and lots of museums and historical sites.

I guess I put this a little more simply... In Arkansas, kids under 18 can't get a tattoo or a piercing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_status_of_tattooing_in_the_United_States I put "gender reassignment" into that same category as elective body modification. Each state has different rules about what constitutes adulthood for the purposes of personal responsibility - just be consistent.

Even harder to believe that the Ministry of Truth has a loyal following whose minds cannot be unfucked. Not only do they love what they're hearing, they'll pay for it and share it to their other mindless minions. The only reason I share it here is as a testimony to what we're up against. BTW, this is why you can't allow Republicans to forget the debt when they're in power. That whole Trump episode did us no favors. It might have felt good to some for a minute, but the damage should be unmistakable by now.

It would literally take days to contradict every BS claim in that video, which I think is part of the point. The biggest problem is that they get much of their claims right. Especially, when he points out the hypocrisy of Republicans. What they're hiding is that this is a government problem and not a left/right problem.

This is the latest crap being peddled by our pious planners: It's hard to believe they crammed so many half-truths and fallacies into 22 minutes, but they did it. Posted yesterday and already viewed 2.7 million times. It's pretty sick when you have Hollywood production programming the minds of the uneducated into their own demise.

erowe1, are you seriously taking the position that cops are "innocent until proven guilty"? Or are you just messing with people here to see if they are parroting what they've been told without thinking about it?

Mind you, I'm not talking about the not-so-subtle "Let's lynch 'em" attitude. I tend to think that's a bad idea, even if I philosophize in weird directions sometimes (its part of my efforts to stay sane while surrounded by statists IRL, give me a break). But, there is a difference between saying "we shouldn't condone harming X for Y or Z reasons" and saying "X is actually innocent."

Note, also by "innocent" I don't even mean morally sinless, I just mean per the NAP. I'd honestly be shocked if there is a single cop who's been on the force for more than a week who isn't an NAP violator. Do you disagree?

Thanks for the sermon. Good stuff. I passed it on to my parents. My dad's a pastor so I'd love to see him converted to the view of Romans 13 that you take or a similar one.

Just out of curiosity, how well received was that message in your church?

Thanks. One of my brothers in Christ who I respect and love told me that a Christian man should spend more time with his brothers than people in the world. I was spending so much time on the forums with these unbelievers, and when he said that, I was extremely convicted. There is nothing like spending time with brothers who build you up in the Lord and sharpen you.
