I gave up. I'll watch the replays and highlights on YouTube, but I'm not paying hundreds of dollars to watch a game live. Nope. I'll listen to the radio broadcast. These owners are getting government dollars to build their stadiums. They're getting tons of ad revenue. They can go to hell with pay per view games. If they chase enough of us away, maybe something will change. It just isn't worth it.

Yeah, he completely messed up. He needed to call out the deep state, or the regime, or the establishment, whatever you want to call it. And then debate that instead of debating her. Anytime she said anything, he could say, "a puppet says what???", then proceed to attack the regime. The opening statement I was hoping for: "I'm not in a debate tonight against Kamala Harris, I'm in a debate against the puppetmasters that are ruining our country. They are devaluing your currency making everything more expensive while their donors get rich. They are escalating wars all over the globe to keep their donors happy while real people are dying - and they're making YOU fund it to the tune of hundreds of billions of dollars. They promote division among our population while inviting dangerous invaders into our lands, stressing our support systems, increasing crime, taking our jobs and bringing in dangerous drugs to flood our streets. Our cities are being destroyed while they attend their cocktail parties and enjoy their private security. They weaponized the government against not only me, but against anyone who opposes the regime. They've kept peaceful people in prison, they've censored your speech, they've threatened internet companies to hide any dissent, and they've instituted woke ideologies on our university campuses to brainwash your children and destroy the fabric of your families. And when they realize that the people have had enough and are supporting me more than the current President, they staged a coup to install a new puppet without a single vote. And they talk about democracy?! Listen, I'm sure VP is a nice enough woman, but she's here because she's a tool of this regime that is causing all this mayhem. And our panel and this network are part of that same regime. We need to end this. We need to fire these people. We need to drain the swamp once and for all. And that's what I'm trying to do. And I need you to join me and join the rest of the patriotic Americans that are trying to do the same." (yeah, lots of BS in there, but so what)

Man, I'm not sure what you were seeing. Yes, he was debating them all. And yes, she lied repeatedly. But he missed so many opportunities and never once knocked her off her game. I thought he was going to get there on the abortion 9-month question, but he kept talking and let her off the hook. Seriously, this was a BIG disappointment. Somehow Trump always seems to disappoint.

Trump’s whole strategy was wrong going into this debate. He’s debating her. He should have just debated the deep state and kept calling her their latest puppet. And then every time she said anything, he could say, “yeah, this is what your handlers want you to say” and then move on to his plans and why the deep state hates him.

Please provide evidence that this will do anything. They stopped voting in Ukraine - do you think the Ukrainian government fears its people? I work tirelessly against the leadership of the Depts of Energy and Transportation. My vote at the polls matters very little, but the people who are assigned to run those organizations matter a great deal. Granholm and Buttigieg or Secs selected with the help of RFK, Tulsi, etc.??? Heck, even Rick Perry was VASTLY better than Granholm. What about the Court? Gorsuch or Ketanji? It's very easy to sit back and say you don't care which people are running what, or that there shouldn't even be this department or that, and I'd probably agree with you on the latter. But in the real world, there will be people in these positions making decisions that affect your life. My vote won't decide which people get to decide, but I don't think that casting a lot is any worse than abstaining.

 Once again... "My guy" isn't running. Also, once again... There are WAY more effective avenues than voting. Also, also, once again... There IS going to be an administration running the agencies the next four years. There is a chance that the heads of these departments are gone and that the new heads could be chosen in part by RFK, Tulsi, and others. Placing a single lot on that side of the scale makes an infinitely small more of an impact than keeping my lot in my pocket. Neither option is doing much, but in the aggregate, both will have a greater impact than rewarding the incumbents.

Gentlemen, please take a listen to this: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?567950-Love-Loss-Liberty-and-Legacy-with-Rep-Thomas-Massie I'm not trying to convince you that you should vote. I am only trying to convince you that other good people can see some value that you may be missing.

Man, you really put a lot of importance on voting. I harbor no illusions that voting (or not voting) will save anything. That's not how our system works. But there is an opportunity, if enough people want to, to throw a monkey wrench into the cogs of the machine. It won't bring the whole machine down, but it'll upset the machine operators. That's worth 15 minutes of my day. ETA: I think what's really behind this is that you think not voting gives you some moral high ground and I'm threatening that concept of yourself. But really, you can do whatever makes you feel good. I'm just saying that just because everyone doesn't come to your same conclusion doesn't mean that they've been duped.

Two things can be simultaneously true. First, this two party system is corrupt to its core and elections are not going to fix it. Secondly, that one of these two parties IS GOING to be making decisions and hiring people and setting administrative policies that WILL affect our lives. So, while we're working on the first part, it does us no additional harm to try to leverage the second part as a way to break down the barriers of the first part. Remember, one of these administrations is going to have executive power for the next 4 years - that harm is already baked in. It's going to happen no matter who you vote for or if you don't vote at all. So, I'm taking that as a given and looking down at the second layer and asking myself, which administration gives us a possibility of throwing a monkey wrench into the cogs of the machine. Will it destroy the entire machine?! You'd have to be an idiot to expect that! But can it cause damage and fault lines that people will notice? There's a chance. Thinking that voting is some magic tool, rather than simply casting your lot, is just silly. If you don't want to cast a lot, or you want to write-in Ron Paul (like I usually do), or whatever else, that's great! But I'm taking a different tack.

Go ahead and refuse to play if that's the way you want to play it (see how you're still playing? "if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice") I won't disparage anyone for their strategy here. But we WILL have an administration setting rules and spending our money next year. I'm not a "lesser of two evils" type of person, but I know which administration will have a better chance of causing the machine heartache.

You laugh, but Trump should be up by 30 points in every swing state. The economy is in ruins, foreign policy is a disaster, invaders are flooding our borders, they tried to kill Trump and couped Biden, the dollar has never been more in jeopardy, and Kamala is an obvious puppet of the machine. And yet, it's still close. Because Trump SUCKS! Look, I want him to win, but damn he SUCKS!

erowe1, are you seriously taking the position that cops are "innocent until proven guilty"? Or are you just messing with people here to see if they are parroting what they've been told without thinking about it?

Mind you, I'm not talking about the not-so-subtle "Let's lynch 'em" attitude. I tend to think that's a bad idea, even if I philosophize in weird directions sometimes (its part of my efforts to stay sane while surrounded by statists IRL, give me a break). But, there is a difference between saying "we shouldn't condone harming X for Y or Z reasons" and saying "X is actually innocent."

Note, also by "innocent" I don't even mean morally sinless, I just mean per the NAP. I'd honestly be shocked if there is a single cop who's been on the force for more than a week who isn't an NAP violator. Do you disagree?

Thanks for the sermon. Good stuff. I passed it on to my parents. My dad's a pastor so I'd love to see him converted to the view of Romans 13 that you take or a similar one.

Just out of curiosity, how well received was that message in your church?

Thanks. One of my brothers in Christ who I respect and love told me that a Christian man should spend more time with his brothers than people in the world. I was spending so much time on the forums with these unbelievers, and when he said that, I was extremely convicted. There is nothing like spending time with brothers who build you up in the Lord and sharpen you.
