Trump playing chess while the dems are playing checkers. This was a great move if the dems don’t bite and don’t take it. And if they do, Trump will still get a win out of it, no matter what the fake stream media and their paid shills will say.

For the ordained, and particularly the Bishops, their equality is in their servitude to Christ This does not diminish the individual gifts to them before God,as some are great examples of patience and charity, others with firm and zealous faith, others with great discernment and prophecy. These are all gifts of the One God in Holy Spirit, the same energy of God which strengthens those who have given their life to the service of Christ. The synodical way is the godly way, in the image of the Holy Trinity.

But you are right that such noble ideas of ‘equal bishops’ is very difficult to achieve in this world which is marked by sin, nevertheless it is the perfection we must strive for and can only be achieved with humility, love and forgiveness through the Holy Spirit of God.

Things like this are exactly why the Christian Church is synodical and why the Catholics are wrong, so that when one hierarch/patriarch goes bad, the rest can prevent him from courrupting the rest of the Church. The major troubles in the Orthodox Church are ecclesiological, and she will overcome, as she always has. The major troubles in the Catholic Church are spiritual with the widespread pedophilia, coverups and corruption. The two do not come even close to comparing and has already led to throngs of people leaving that church because of it in the past few decades. The Catholic Pope has only added fuel to that fire. There hasn’t been a ‘Reformation’ in the Orthodox Church. We are currently witnessing another one occurring in the Catholic Church. And it is precisely because of the Papal structure of the Roman Catholic Church that such reformations happen.

I have not allowed my children to get any flu vaccines. My coworker gets it for herself and her three children every year and laughs that I don’t give them to my kids. For the past 5 years since I have known her, every year she and ALL her kids get confirmed flu (one time one of the kids almost hospitalized) and my kids have only rarely had a sniffle and fever for a day or two. This year, she caught both strains within a few weeks! I keep tellin her to stop with the vaccines and give her kids high dose vitamin C every day and she still hasn’t learned...

I don’t have the know how to make one, but an idea I thought about is an app which you can enter in any companies or their affiliates to boycott and then when you do your shopping(for example online), non of their products show up (or they are flagged). Like an add-on to Amazon or something. I would definitely use such an app. The only thing these board of directors care about is the bottom line. Boycotts need to happen.

It doesn’t have to be in order to be true. The Gospels tell of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry. It is not the complete story either of His earthly life, His divine acts, or the story of the Church which He is the Head of. Christ sent down the Holy Spirit in to the world (part of His saving mission, and the consequence of His Ascension into the Kingdom at the right hand of the Father). It is the Holy Spirit of God Who has guided the God-bearing Saints of the Church to establish the structure of the Church. Most of the ecclesiological structure of the Church was formed after Christ’s resurrection. The earliest beginnings can be found in the Book of Acts (for example, the trinitarian hierarchal structure of episkopos - Bishop, presbyter - priest, and diakono - deacon), and described also in the first century writings of the Saints (Pope Clement and St. Ignatius in particular.). By the end of the first century and most definitely into the middle of the second, the basic formulation and ecclesiological structure was firmly established and has remained essentially the same. The Pope of Rome was simply the Bishop of Rome. He was the Shepard of the baptized Christians in the imperial capital, just as Jerusalem, Antioch, Alexandria, and a whole host of other regions were under the spiritual direction of an ordained Bishop of the relative geographic area/city as became necessary for administrative reasons and to protect the faithful from heresy and those who sought to divide the Church. Because of the importance of the city of Rome in the first centuries, the Bishop there did have special privileges as a ‘first among equals’, which was an administrative and spiritual role in settling disputes within the whole Church, similar to a chairman of the board. This is different then the path that the Roman Church has since taken, assuming to be the sole leader of the Church (ie Head of the Church, which belongs to Christ alone), and with supreme authority over the bishops of the other regions throughout the world. This is the main reason why the Schism occurred in the 11th century and resulted in Rome falling away from the Church.

NOBP. Ron's position is that PRIVATE property owners can restrict who is allowed on to their PRIVATE property. That position is not at odds with not supporting walls, passports, and visas. Anyone who thinks this is a contradiction obviously hasn't taken time to understand the P in NOBP.

Congrats! :) I also celebrated Epiphany (aka Theophany) today as my church is on the revised Gregorian calendar. We had the blesssing of the waters service. According to Christian tradition, when Christ was baptized, it was nature which was baptized through the waters in His submersion.. An ancient hymn speaks about an Old Testament prophecy of the waters of the Jordan reversing its flow. This reportedly happens also today on the Epiphany when the cross is tossed in the Jordan river before the praying congregation. Those using the earlier Julian calendar (which is actually the majority Orthodox in the world) celebrate Christmas tomorrow (as tomorrow is Dec 25th on their calendar.

I have a full time job and a very active social life. I don’t need to spend time debating you the merits and advantages this Presidency has provided the US. I am quite pleased with the progress. Given what he is up against, it is a near miracle. The more the DS and their lackies attack him, the more I support him. The more the shills post, the more clearly I see the agendas. You continue to do what your mission here is. Just realize that not everyone is fooled by you.

The Incarnation: The Redemption and Glorification of Matter It is 251 AD. A group of persecuted Christians in the catacombs are about to begin their evening prayers – called Vespers. They stand before two paintings, one of their Lord Jesus and the other of His Mother. Right before starting, some of their friends burst into the room joyously. Their secret mission to recover the bones of their slain brethren, who died as martyrs, was a success. They gather around the relics, each one kissing them and whispering a prayer. This gathering is not a macabre, secret cult. Rather, these beautiful bones testify to eternal life in Christ. Most of these Christians converted from paganism, which, with its dualistic philosophy, held a low view of the body – that it was nothing more than a cage entrapping the spirit. What cosmic event could have created such an extreme paradigm shift in the way that humans viewed matter? FALLING FROM PERFECTION “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Mankind himself was created in the “image and likeness of God.” After everything was formed, God looked upon all creation and declared it to be “very good” (Genesis 1:1,26,31). However, mankind fell into sin, bringing death, corruption, and decay into the world. Now, the matter that was once perfect groaned under the weight of sin and death. It needed redemption, but how? Mankind continued in sin, becoming worse and worse. Eventually, the Law of Moses was given. But that could not free matter from its bondage to death, nor could it empower man to overcome his slavery to sin. The chosen Israel of God continually mixed worldly ideas and pagan spirituality into their lives. Prophets were sent by God to warn the people; Israel was captured and exiled when they would not listen; yet, in none of these things could redemption from the formidable grave be found.

A Reflection on the Nativity of the Lord (St. Theophan the Recluse) By St. Theophan the Recluse Glory to Thee, O Lord! Once again we greet the awaited bright days of Christ’s Nativity. Let us be glad and rejoice. In order to raise our festivities to a higher level in these days, the Holy Church has intentionally instituted a preceding fast—a certain amount of difficulty, so that when we enter the festive period we might feel as though liberated. Nevertheless, the Church in no way desires that we should give ourselves over to purely sensual delights and fleshly pleasures. Since the Church has from olden times called these days sviatki, or the “holy days,” these days require that our very festivity be holy, as they are holy. So that those who rejoice might not forget themselves, the Church has placed a short song upon our lips to glorify the born Christ, by which the flesh is restrained and the soul is uplifted, showing the proper occupations for these days. It says, “Christ is Born, give ye glory,” and the rest. Glorify Christ; glorify Him, so that by this glorification the heart and soul would delight, and thereby silence any urge for various other deeds and occupations that might promise certain consolations. Glorifying Christ does not mean devising lengthy songs of praises to Christ. But if when contemplating or hearing about the birth of Christ the Savior you involuntary shout from the depths of your soul, “Glory to Thee, O Lord, that Christ is born!”—this is sufficient. This will be a quiet song of the heart, which nevertheless reaches the heavens and enters in to God Himself. Repeat a little more clearly to yourself what the Lord has wrought for us, and you will see how natural this exclamation now is. So that this might be easier for us, we shall compare it to the following incident. A king promised freedom to a man who was imprisoned in a dungeon and bound with fetters. The prisoner waits a day, then another, then months, and years. He sees no fulfillment of the promise, but does not lose hope, and believes in the king’s words. Finally, he sees signs that it is coming soon, his attention increases—he hears a noise; some one is approaching with cheerful words. Now the locks fall and the liberator enters. “Glory to Thee, O Lord!” the prisoner involuntarily cries. “The end of my imprisonment has arrived, and soon I will see God’s world!” Or another incident: A sick man is covered with wounds and paralyzed in all his members. He has tried all medicines and various doctors. His endurance is exhausted, and he is ready to give himself over to despair. He is told, “There is one very skilled doctor who heals everyone from those very illnesses that you have. We have asked him to come, and he has promised to do so.” The patient believes them, cries out in hope, and waits for the promised one…. One hour passes, then another, and his soul is tormented with anxiety. Finally, at evening, someone arrives…. The door opens, and the desired one enters…. “Glory to Thee, O Lord!” the sick man shouts. Here is another example. A thundercloud hangs over the sky, and the face of the earth covered with darkness. Thunder shakes the foundations of the mountains and lightening tears the sky from one end to the other. All are in fear, as if the end of the world had come. When the thunder passes and the sky clears, everyone breathes freely, saying, “Glory to Thee, O Lord!”

People have the capacity to reason. You don't need to always show them the whole thing. A strong statement telling them that they are wrong is often all you need to do. Then they do the rest, at least when the other person can think.

If they're feeling like idiots, they will feel bad. Feeling bad makes people try to do something different to feel better. So they might just go ahead and think and stop being idiots.
