I haven't done an exhaustive search on this, but as far as I know, state legislatures are typically unicameral or bicameral - and all districts in those houses of the Legislatures are based roughly around population. Generally speaking, there will be multiple rural counties in a single legislative district. For example, a Red and Blue state: Kansas has 105 counties. The Kansas Legislature consists of a 125-member House of Representatives and a 40-member Senate; both are based upon population. Each Senate district must have at least 60,000 inhabitants. The House districts must have at least 19,000 inhabitants. There may be some inequities in the number of inhabitants represented, but the thrust is to have them be roughly equal in population. Illinois has 102 counties. The Illinois Legislature consists of a 118-member House of Representatives and a 59-member Senate. The House of Representatives districts are determined after each census, based upon population. The Senate districts are comprised of two adjacent House of Representative districts. Cook County (Chicago) has 47 members in the House. Both states redistrict/reapportion their legislative districts after each census.

Which means they'll be less well represented within the state legislatures as well.

The Pennsylvania Senate has 50 members (28 are GOP, and 1 Independent) - they need 26 to grab the Electors ... they've got 16 or 17. The Pennsylvania House has 203 Members (113 are GOP) - they need 102 to grab the electors ... they have roughly 57 (they apparently don't know exactly) Sure, that's a walk in the park. Meanwhile, the York Dispatch reports:

No, he's a narcissist. He's not to blame for that, nobody chooses to be a narcissist. The conditions of his life just produced it. You just have to be aware of it when you're dealing with him. It blesses him with certain advantages, and curses him with a host of disadvantages. You just have to understand those conditions. He struggles with empathy - and that's probably going to be the biggest challenge you have with him (as opposed to psychopaths, who can only fake empathy)

I'll only comment on the Danish study, because it's the one I looked at. Dr. Paul's conclusion is that wearing the mask did little to control the spread of the virus - which demonstrates a basic lack of understanding about the study. The study was limited to the investigation of whether masks protected the wearer from infection - and actually, it didn't even do a very good job at that. The only way it could have investigated whether masks did anything to control the spread of the virus would have been to trace everyone whom the mask wearers came in contact with to see if they contracted the virus - and the study didn't do that. As far as protection of the mask wearer goes, I'd point out that the study examined two groups. What were those two groups (hint: they weren't (A) mask wearers and (B) non-mask wearers). The primary group was (C) people who had been provided with masks, provided with instructions on how to use the masks, and provided with instructions on hand washing, social distancing, and avoidance of indoor group gathering - and the control group consisted of (D) people who hadn't been provided with masks, nor instructions for how to use them, nor instructions for hand washing, social distancing, and avoidance of indoor group gathering. Group (A) is not the same as Group (C), nor is group (B) the same as Group (D). Nothing precluded the people in Group (C) from not wearing the masks, or wearing them improperly, or violating social distancing rules. Nothing precluded the people in Group (D) from wearing masks or engaging in social distancing. In fact, the only control on mask wearing or social distancing was self-reporting by the individuals involved as to whether they complied or not - and less than half reported that they had complied (and given polling results from the 2016 and 2020 elections, how much credence do you put in the accuracy of those self-reporting results). There is one useful bit of research to come out of the study though ... even if you provide people with masks, instructions for using them, and instructions for social distancing - less than half the people will comply with those recommendations. You have to convince people to take these measures, rather than compel them.

I suppose it's technically possible, if you impeach them and then try them concurrently. You're going to need control of the House first - and then a 2/3 vote in the Senate. Are you ready for President Pelosi?

It was formerly the custom in our village, when a poor debtor came out of jail, for his acquaintances to salute him, looking through their fingers, which were crossed to represent the jail window, “How do ye do?” My neighbors did not thus salute me, but first looked at me, and then at one another, as if I had returned from a long journey. I was put into jail as I was going to the shoemaker’s to get a shoe which was mended. When I was let out the next morning, I proceeded to finish my errand, and, having put on my mended shoe, joined a huckleberry party, who were impatient to put themselves under my conduct; and in half an hour, — for the horse was soon tackled, — was in the midst of a huckleberry field, on one of our highest hills, two miles off, and then the State was nowhere to be seen.

AF, I'm sorry to be a Danny Downer on this, but I just don't see it happening (except through revolution and violence). I realize that it's just in a grass roots phase, but I find it eerily similar to the attempts by the left to abolish, amend and/or develop end-runs around the Electoral College ... in that if they had the votes to accomplish it, then there'd be no need to do it. I don't even think the organizers are that serious about it. On the "Contacts" pane of the webpage, there are only contacts for Oregon and California. Why no Idaho contact? Wouldn't you think that this would require even more organization in Idaho? It just seems like a political tactic aimed at their own state legislatures in order to get their grievances addressed.

Another question I have is how do the people of Idaho look at this? I mean, what's in it for the 1.76 million people who live in Idaho, and why would they go along with it? Looking at this US News and World Report article which specifically mentions Idaho from 2018 to 2019: If I'm in Idaho, I'm wondering how all of this is going to change the culture and character of my state, and how that's going to impact me in the long run. How many people are in those 19 Oregonian counties and what impact is this going to have on the people already living in Idaho? Would a simple majority vote in Oregon and Idaho be required - or a supermajority? Typically, on issues of such importance, a supermajority is required. Keep in mind that Idaho gave 33.1% of it's 2020 vote to Biden, and I'd expect that all of those Biden voters would be against conservative counties from Oregon (where the average vote for Trump was 75%) further diluting their vote. So if a supermajority is required, you'd have to get all of the remaining 2/3 of the vote in Idaho.

That 78% would appear to be an imposing obstacle - they have veto power over the deal. How many of that 78% want to rid themselves of those pesky Oregonians who want to leave Oregon and join Idaho? Are there resources in the seceding counties (19 of Oregon’s southern and eastern counties) which the 78% would not want to lose control over? So a measure to meet and discuss (not secede) failed in two of the four counties (out of 19) in which the measure was on the ballot. That's not a promising sign. As much as I'd like to see it - it's not in the cards. I mean, I live in Southern Illinois and would love to see the Illinois counties outside the Chicago metro area join with Missouri or Indiana - but it ain't gonna happen. The only way it's ever going to happen is if more people live in the rural counties than in the cities - and that kinda defeats the whole purpose.
