Aufheben der Dr. Seuss The New Discourses Podcast with James Lindsay, Episode 23 Aufheben is a German word that, in Critical Theory, means to "abolish" or to "negate" in the way that Critical Theorists do. It's a somewhat complicated term in that it means both to abolish and to keep or to keep safe, and the Critical Theory taps into the so-called dialectical process to attempt to use aufheben to tear apart and, as the Marxists translated it, "sublate" whatever cultural artifact they are targeting onto a "higher" level of understanding, namely the one that empowers Critical Theorists and induces misery in everyone else. This process was widely pushed by the Critical Theorists of the Frankfurt School under a doctrine of Aufheben der Kultur ("abolishment of culture"), and it continues in the Woke movement today. One of the latest big targets of Aufheben der Kultur is Dr. Seuss and his wide body of popular children's literature. Why? Because of its success. Seuss becomes a cultural anchor point for hundreds of millions of children and adults, and by tainting Seuss, his legacy, and your own memories of him with accusations of racism and "harm," they can abolish that shared cultural anchor and make more room to advance their own agenda, in which every text is "decolonized" and geared to indoctrinate you and your children into Critical Theory, especially Critical Race Theory. Join James Lindsay in this episode of the New Discourses Podcast to dig into the Critical Dr Seuss academic literature to see where this Aufheben der Dr Seuss comes from and how it works.

I was posting videos of Viva Frei's analysis of the Parler v. Amazon case in this thread, but it makes more sense to put them in the "Amazon removes hosting for Parler" thread. I've posted the most recent update (as of 03 March 2021) to that thread (here: Parler vs. Amazon "Voluntary Dismissal"? Lawyer Explains - Viva Frei Vlawg), and I will start posting any future updates there as well.

I was posting Viva Frei's updates on the Parler v. Amazon case in the "Google Pulls Parler" thread, but it makes more sense to put them here. Here's the most recent news (as of 03 March 2021): Parler vs. Amazon "Voluntary Dismissal"? Lawyer Explains - Viva Frei Vlawg Parler filed a voluntary dismissal of its lawsuit against Amazon. But then refiled in State court. Here's the breakdown. And here are links to my posts of VF's previous analysis videos on the case:

Also, the cadre of activists is much larger today than it was then. At the time, Critical Theory was securing its position in the universities, and hadn't yet captured K-12 education, corporate HR & marketing departments, and government entities & NGOs (as it has now).

As I recall, the LGBWHATEVER activist crowd got pissed off at The Silence of the Lambs way back when it first came out, too (especially when it was nominated for and won so many Oscars). They denounced Jonathan Demme (the director), called for boycotts, etc. No way would the movie ever get made today - not without significant changes. Which goes to show that all this sort of thing is not just coming out of nowhere - it's been brewing for literally decades now. It's just now coming to a continuous, rolling boil.

Why NOT unleash one? Turmoil is the politicians game - always has been. Do note how it's always one thing after another, how we are never left in peace now. Does anyone here think this is mere coincidence, or some new necessity of reality? My suspicions come closer toconfirmation by the day: Theye are sowing endless strife and minor chaos in pursuit of the goal of wearing us down - wearying us so that when they finally make THE move, we will no longer care. It is a combination of acclimation to insanity and wearing us out so that we no longer have in us any fight. Consider the starfish. Not particularly strong when compared with a clam, but they are able to apply their meager pressures for extended periods. They latch on to a clam and put just a small pressure upon them. The mightier clam, wel... clams up as the saying goes, and in a couple of hours is exhausted, becomes incapable of further resistance, and succumbs.

That is exactly the problem. The minds of kids (and everyone else) must be broken and reshaped so that they always look at everything through the lens of race, gender, or whatever other "intersectional" categories happen to be to the advantage of the Woke in terms of giving them more power and control. "The question is not 'did racism take place?' but rather, 'how did racism manifest in this situation?'" -- Robin DiAngelo, White Fragility

Exactly this. Biggest part is half is an Invisible Tax, the other half is a Direct Unapportioned Tax. Either way, they end up with everything and we end up with nothing.

I swear the ONLY possible outcome of ANY agenda the people in power are proposing is MASS DEATH. I mean like on the scale of BILLIONS of people. Starvation. Nuclear War. Civil War. Invasion. Alien Invasion. What ever it takes, I swear these people WANT DEATH come hell or high water, and at this point I would not be too terribly surprised if we got both HELL and HIGH WATER.

Dont tell me what to do! :P Yeah, its hard as hell at times. People believe so much nonsense. Perhaps one of the things that makes all their BS easier to spot is there is NO DEBATE when it comes down to the real purpose of Propaganda, which is to suppress the minds of the targets. Hence all the nonsense they repeat. Since it is now without debate, are we hearing debate out of the media that Republicans are not extremists? Vaccines should not be mandatory? Masks work? Printing money good? There is NO DEBATE on ANY of these topics. And just like where I got the TV from in my name when I used to work for MSM as Master Control, the higher ups will FIRE you if you express an opinion that is not in line with the official narrative. My bosses back in the day fired a number of producers for being "known Ron Paul supporters".

This might as well be something taken straight out of an Ayn Rand novel. Notice how among all the talk of steel mills "minority farmers" and "pioneers of agriculture" and such, there's little or no mention of anyone, you know, actually milling any steel growing any food ...

I'm building a mahogany canoe right now, glassed the outside before it got cold, waiting to do the inside when it stays over 70... Stained to resemble the old Chriscraft mahogany boats, without gunnels, seats and decks the hull weighs about 55# for a 17' x 37". If it doesn't sell I'll fish out of it.

The Trump support is very real. Don't listen to some of the idiots in here spreading nonsense and not knowing the dynamics of the game. Trump wins especially if high turnout or comes in a very close second in Iowa. He blows everyone out in NH and SC as of today.

Wish it were so but reality is reality.
