I don't recall many fat kids in school either, of course the school was small and its population rural, but using personal experience as a metric the other families ate similar diets too.... I think todays foodstuffs are different, at least what most folks buy at the store....

As kids in the 60's (6 kids in our house) it was no problem going through 5-7# fried potatoes, 5-7# sausage, biscuits and gravy and over a gallon of milk just for breakfast. Sunday dinner was 2 10# roasts, hams or a pair of turkeys plus all the fixin's and desert... My mom is still under 100# and none of us kids are overweight by more than 10# and the youngest is late 40's... None of us consume soda-pop and we consume very little processed food but we all eat sweets.... Oh...........Saturday was pizza night and there was always friends over but 30# of dough and a few gallons of sauce would generally not leave many leftovers....

'Twas common to have a rasher or two of bacon with 1/2 a dozen eggs, milk and biscuits before heading out in the morning... A couple sandwiches and tea or beer for lunch and then a "healthy" supper with desert..... Then came processed food...:( Here's a 'rasher'

If he is to be AG, what voice will he really have in an issue that is to be decided by Congress? He can jump up and down and scream until he wets himself - I see it making little difference. His role as AG will be an effective demotion in status to that of a mere instrument of implementation, rather than as partner in the architecture of statute and, occasionally, Law. What am I missing? ETA: Not to be a downer, but I hope we all realize just how screwed the so-called "liberty movement" is going to be when Ron Paul shuffles off that mortal coil. Cohesion is low as it stands. It stands to go a whole lot lower.

Well, Bibi looked like absolute deathly hell this morning. Her humanity was almost vanished as she lay there, looking hollow. My friends Mike and Bonnie came to see her and we then went to dinner. When they dropped me off I decided to go back upstairs before heading home. To my surprise, she was awake and the most alert I'd seen her since the surgery. Of course, the nurse came and doped her up with Dilaudid. We watched the evil television for about half and hour and she was gone to la-la land. Until that time, I was rather unsure as to whether she was going to leave the hospital other than in a plastic bag. It is not an easy thing to see someone in such misery, but I am hoping tomorrow will be better. Her eldest daughter will come from NJ in the morning. She's a really good daughter. Thanks again, everyone, for all the prayers and well-wishing. This is one of those things for which Bibi has a genuine appreciation.

Lets see how that ends up having worked out in just under one more week. This Logan Act nonsense is just that. But don't take my word for it. Let us examine the relevant text: Key terms highlighted. This is YASWS (Yet Another Shittily Written Statute). For one thing, proving intent is damned near impossible and inferring intent based upon action is fraught with risk to justice even in the best cases. The statute clearly states that the attempted influence must not only have been applied to officials of a state with which we are in "dispute or controvers", but that the interference must relate directly to said disputes or controversies. Has Trump done this? And even if he has, he is the incoming president. Standing upon some technicality such as his not yet having taken his oath would likely backfire on anyone attempting a swag at him with this stupid and poorly formulated jewel from the litter box of our illustrious and much esteemed Fifth Congress.

I have to call bullshit. Not on the OP, but what Microsoft is selling is the Illusion of Privacy, not actual privacy. Their definition of Privacy and an average persons definition of Privacy are VERY different. - Average Person: Hands off what I do. - Microsoft: Collect ALL data on what you do and make it all for sale while tricking people into believing their Privacy is protected The corporate mentality of Privacy means they can and should collect all data on everything they possibly can. To "protect" that privacy just means they put firewalls on the servers where that data is all stored. However, it IS still for sale. Here is the trick. The companies that come along and buy that data have to get something back from the money they spend on access to that data. For example, an Insurance Company. They buy some data about you. For that purchase to be cost effective, they need to charge you more than they spent on acquiring that data. End result is that you end up spending more money for things that are known about you. Do NOT trust corporate legalese in regards to Privacy due to the very different definitions that they and you will have. Their "tools" are meaningless. The only way to truly protect your Privacy is to NEVER give them any information about yourself in any way shape or form, which you are automatically expected to do with things like "telemetry".

I actually considered your previous whining when titling this thread which is why I titled it as I did.. I don't know if it's funny, ironic or coincidental that every thread I post concerning whining about the use of the term "nigg*r" in any manner draws your ire. I actually asked a question in the OP and intentionally used the term 'cracker' which of course hasn't raised an eyebrow...(Or got an answer) I'm going to quit trying to appease 'sensitive' people, stop whining, or don't, but I'm done with trying to play nice when I really don't give a fuck how you feel or what you find offensive. If the store owner/franchise lessee didn't honestly hate black people he surely does now. Furthermore I'd bet a dime to a dollar the broad who the article is written about was a total bitch in order to elicit his commentary in the first place.

What "illusions" you perceive are totally up to you. I highlighted the relevant points to me, calling the kops for name calling and the aspiration to further "legal action"... It's really too bad that you insist on trying to attribute ulterior meaning to what I actually post.....Why do you insist on behaving in this manner?

These folks have their winter quarters down the road from the family farm and their critters are much better cared for than any in a zoo. 2000# of housepet is a good analogy. Unfounded accusations of mistreatment or neglect fly in the face of first hand knowledge. CA speaketh the truth.

The Trump support is very real. Don't listen to some of the idiots in here spreading nonsense and not knowing the dynamics of the game. Trump wins especially if high turnout or comes in a very close second in Iowa. He blows everyone out in NH and SC as of today.

Wish it were so but reality is reality.
