I think at this point the Russians have basically won. The Ukrainians couldn't break through the Russians defensive lines despite being supplied with obscene amounts of cash and hardware. Perhaps the Russians will push and take the rest of the coastline. But I doubt the Ukrainians will retake any lost territory.

So take over lands that were never theirs, oppress the minority population and hold them in the world's largest prison camp? Seems like they were well on the way to doing that before Russia stepped in. The US needs to stop funding this corrupt shitshow.

I would not count on that. There will be a large field with some more qualified than him and with less baggage.

Honestly you can probably reverse those numbers. 90% think she's crazy. But of that 90% more than half like what she professes to believe in so they let the crazy go up to a point where she causes embarrassment. This may have been that point. The next election will tell.

She's probably done for politically. She barely got re-elected. Not just because of this incident, but the sum of all that is going on with her. She may even be primaried.

Yeah she should be a liability now as VP. But in today's world who knows? Nobody quits after a scandal anymore. Trump has 4 indictments and is still in. Would it even matter if his running mate is having an affair?

That is not what I said. I said I recall that he was on good terms personally with Romney. I recall something about the families being friendly and Romney might have invited him to stay at his home or something like that. I didn't vote for Romney back then, but in restrospect I think I should have. He is retiring at a reasonable age, so it's now irrelevant.

I recall he had an episode on live streaming a few years ago. His health is perhaps better because he is not under the constant stress of political leadership anymore. He also chose to retire from it at a reasonable age. I also recall that he was on good terms with Romney.

Good for him. We are increasingly seeing that over 80 is too old for politics.

Age limits for politicians. When the constitution was written, nobody thought of an upper age limit because people generally didn't live that long.

The ones found guilty of it in federal court. Some were just tresspassing, some committed property crimes etc. I'm actually getting tired of discussing them. They were idiots who followed Trump. From what I understand a majority of them regret that.

Yeah, this time I do approve. It was in response to a massive over reach by a liberal governor. She went too far and this push back is deserved. I've always said open carry should be legal, but just because it is legal doesn't mean you should do it. But in the face of absolute BS like this public health declaration thing, I think what these people did is fine. When somebody like me thinks this is ok, you know the liberals went too far.

These people look extremely guilty. Yes, they should be fined and possibly imprisoned. The J6 people faced the insurrection charges, these people won't and I don't think were attempting one. Yeah the J6 people got excessive sentences. I feel bad about that, but blame Trump for their problems.

For her sake hope not. Everyone that associates with Trump ends up getting used, blamed or arrested. Look at his former cabinet, only 2 or 3 will endorse him. Look at his VP, running against him. Trump is a user.

No I don't think this is a serious problem. I think a far left governor has overplayed her hand and there will be pushback. It's never going to hold up in court. Not a chance.

This country may need to have a serious conversation about age limits for politicians.

I knew the cases against the J6 people were solid and would get convictions. Yeah the sentences were excessive but they were caught on video guilty. I meant they may be able to arrest a few people with this and hold them, but there is no chance of a conviction. This is nothing but grandstanding.

It will never hold up in court. Everyone knows that. Yes, they may jail a few people short term if they can even get law enforcement to follow it, which it seems they will not. I'm not particulary concerned about it.

She can issue these declarations but they are unenforceable. It's just virtue signaling.
