Believe what you want. Trump will never be president again. DeSantis will be the nominee in the future be it 24 or 28 and has a good chance at winning.

DeSantis won re-election by almost 20 points. Trump didn't get anywhere close to that. DeSantis gets broad support because people from both sides and the middle like what he is doing. Maybe they don't come out and say it because they are scared in the current woke climate, but they show it with their votes. If DeSantis gets himself involved with Trump's criminal case it hurts him with those middle voters who do not like Trump. DeSantis has played this whole situation very safe, don't expect any change in that.

Because unlike Trump, DeSantis could win the general election. Getting involved in Trump's criminal case hurts him in the general.

Why would DeSantis help Trump? Trump has been an ass to him for quite a while now.

Zero percent chance of any of that happening. If he is indicted it will be done quietly like any other white collar criminal gets treated.

If this one fails there is still the investigation in Georgia, the Jan 6th investigation and the classified papers. I think that the democrats don't want Trump out of the race or dead, they think he is the easiest one to beat.

Not a misdemeanor, it's multiple felony charges. I would expect the whole thing to be very low key. Secret service would never allow the perp walk to happen. He will probably enter from an underground parking garage, get processed make his appearance and exit the same way without the public even seeing him. At this point nobody is stupid enough to risk their future doing another Jan 6th for Trump. I'm sure some idiots will get as close as possible with their Trump signs etc.

You aren't wrong, but DeSantis has done everything he has promised so far. He's really gone above and beyond.

DeSantis is now on record for eternity against intervention. Wasn't that the biggest thing most liked about Ron Paul and also the biggest problem he had in the primaries? Things have changed a lot since then. DeSantis is also on the good side of so many other issues. Florida is doing very well compared to the rest of the country.

DeSantis is smart and see which way the wind is blowing. People aren't going to support Biden's war forever.

He's being smart and waiting. If/when Trump is indicted or disqualified DeSantis gets in the race and gets all Trump's support and cruises to an easy win. If not DeSantis is the annointed one next cycle. Why run against Trump and risk pissing off potential support. That would be my play here. Ron DeSantis will be the GOP nominee for president, it's just a question of now or next time.

I think DeSantis is hedging to see if Trump is indicted and/or disqualified. That would be my move. Trump already has declared opponents.

I don't see how Discover internally tracking purchases could be stopped. The government would still need a warrant to access those records.

Trains derail here in Florida constantly. Also trains especially brightline kill pedestrians and motorists almost daily. Brightline is going 100 mph through congested urban areas, that obviosly isn't ending well.
