So Clinton did about the same as Trump. Gave up some of the requested material not all. Both were clearly guilty of similar offenses. As said several pages earlier, the only question remaining is if Trump also gets a pass on prosecution.
IIRC Clinton gave up the material when asked. I could be remembering wrong. They declined to prosecute her. Trump wouldn't have been raided if he did the same.
If Clinton got a pass Trumo should as well. But they may nail him on this to prevent him from running again.
Maybe, don't really care. You can be one of those people who won't vote for a decent candidate because they don't conform to your pet issue or we could elect somebody with an overall very good record who we mostly agree with.
He removed classified documents. He violated the espionage act.
His passport was seized. He may now be considered a flight risk. I take that as charges may be forthcoming.

Also we just handed the Ukrainians another 7 billion to keep their government running, with no accountability at all.
DeSantis has all the same positions as Trump but without the controversy, scandals, crudeness, shady past business deals etc. Plus has a strong record as governor.
The Clinton email servers that she got a pass on. She could have been prosecuted for that. Let's see if Trump gets prosecuted for something I see as similar.
I think they have him red handed on the espionage act as laid out in the warrant. I believe he is guilty. The real question is how DOJ enforces the law. Will it be a pass like Clinton got or will they prosecute to the letter of the law? Another possibliity is they just wanted the documents back and that will be the end of it.

Because Trump by most accounts is likely guilty of the documents offense. Also besides some fanatics most normal Republicans are over Trump and having him barred from running again would be a relief.
What were they looking for? Will the search warrant be made public? The FBI can't just go fishing, the warrant needs to specify what they are looking for. I don't like Trump much but he has legal rights.
The lefties down here are having a major hissy fit over this. Forget politics for a minute. The guy went on record stating he will not perform duties required by his position. That is grounds for suspension and termination in any field.
