FTC bans all new non-compete clauses and strikes down most existing agreements https://www.geekwire.com/2024/ftc-bans-all-new-non-compete-clauses-and-strikes-down-most-existing-agreements/ {Lisa Stiffler | 23 Apriil 2024} Goodbye, non-competes. The U.S. Federal Trade Commission today released its final rules addressing non-compete clauses by banning all future agreements. Non-competes have traditionally restricted workers from taking jobs with a competitor or starting a competing business. The employment clauses — which are applied to wide-ranging businesses — have been particularly contentious and polarizing in the technology sector.

NYC Man Convicted Over Gunsmithing Hobby After Judge Says 2nd Amendment 'Doesn't Exist in This Courtroom' https://redstate.com/jeffc/2024/04/22/brooklyn-man-convicted-over-gun-hobby-by-biased-ny-court-could-be-facing-harsh-sentence-n2173162 {Jeff Charles | 22 April 2024} A Brooklyn man has been convicted of 13 weapons charges after having been arrested and charged in 2022 for building his own firearms. Dexter Taylor’s ordeal could become a landmark Second Amendment case in light of the Bruen ruling handed down in the same year. From the beginning of Taylor’s trial, it was evident that the court would be biased against the defendant, according to Varghese, who explained that two judges presided over his case before the current official, Judge Abena Darkeh, took over.

Vinoo Varghese Gives Update on Dexter Taylor's Second Amendment Case https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ko6ALqhgZEM {A Fresh Perspective with Jeff Charles | 22 April 2024} In this episode, Doni and I delved into the legal case of Dexter Taylor, a man recently convicted in New York for building firearms, with his lawyer Vinoo Varghese. Dexter is currently awaiting sentencing in Rikers Island. His trial highlighted challenges like restrictions on arguing Second Amendment rights, raising concerns about fair treatment in the legal process. The narrative showcases Taylor's personal strength and concern for others amidst the emotional toll of the trial, underscoring the absolute depraved tyranny that characterizes New York's justice system. 0:00:00: Introduction to Dexter Taylor's case 0:02:48: Dexter's background and firearm building

Good question, and also, does it ever go away? In a way when you look at services like Uber, it solves many of those things. Although I'm not interested in a society wide rating system, that would be very CCP, things like that do work. Too many downsides really... And no privacy. But it does work.

Supreme Court agrees to hear dispute over Biden administration's "ghost guns" rule https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ghost-guns-supreme-court-biden-administration/ {Melissa Quinn | 22 April 2024} Washington — The Supreme Court on Monday agreed to review a lower court decision that invalidated a rule from the Biden administration that aimed to address the proliferation of crimes involving "ghost guns." The regulation at issue was implemented by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in April 2022 and imposed a series of requirements on manufacturers and sellers of so-called ghost guns, which are unserialized firearms that can be assembled from kits sold online. ATF's rule changed the definition of "firearm" under the Gun Control Act to include certain weapon parts kits, and clarified that it includes partially completed parts such as the frame or receiver. As a result of the regulation, covered manufacturers and sellers have to obtain licenses, mark their products with serial numbers, run background checks and keep purchase records, which are all required for firearms made and sold in the U.S.

Scott III | 29 March 2024} New Jersey’s quirky reputation is hard earned, but one peculiarity stands out: It’s the only place in America where you can’t pump your own gas. Laws against self-service gasoline used to be common: In the late 1960s, nearly half the states in the U.S. had one. But as fuel dispensers became safer and credit cards made paying at pumps possible, those states began to reconsider. By the early 1990s, nearly four out of five gas stations nationwide were self-serve.

Hebrews 10:24–25 - KJV And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and also much the more, as ye see the day approaching. I am very comfortable being "alone". I spent my entire adult life working at sea, where, outside of a few fellow men as crew, you are very much alone and isolated. But I have come to understand that a fellowship of believers, in a church, or a hall, or a bible study in home, is critical for growth, strength and sanity, both in your faith and day to day life. Atomized Man is a false teaching.

Hey old friend. Your inbox is full or else I'd have sent this there.

This election has me at the point of no hope for the future of this nation. And I occasionally remember the good people from RPFs and all the time we had exchanging ideas and creating our own little online community.

I read a bit of your latest comments about holding the line so maybe we can gather a counter-force. Whelp. Time is up. I'm a bit sad the forum is not as active as in days gone by, but things change.

Thank God Ron is still alive to be a voice of reason in a sea of dystopian technocrats.

Swiss gun ownership: one of the perks of maintaining a healthy, national identity, while remaining cosmopolitan, liberal, and rather open. Legal immigration there is actually well regulated and up in the past 30 years, according to some articles. Its a shame our national ethos is immature or nonexistant by comparrison.

HAHA! I just saw your post in another thread (I was catching up on forum drama) about Mr A putting me on a leash. I don't think he would do that to me if he could. Even though he complains about my oversharing sometimes (not on the forum but IRL. I'm not good at filtering), he knows I'm a good girl and despite my outward personality, I'm a surprisingly solid and committed person underneath. We've been together since I was 23 (24 years/married 20), he knows everything - even stuff he'd rather not know.
