I just wanted to point out the quote you quote was Satan talking to Jesus and here is it in it's full context and subject: (Just remember this-- Satan is a liar and deceiver and knows the scriptures better than most--although not better than Jesus) Matthew 4:1-11 Matthew 4:1-11King James Version (KJV) 4 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

To clarify, what you did in this thread is exactly what I would expect of a legal system. In today's system the prosecutors come up with whatever they can to persecute an individual. The question they are asking is " now that I have this person in my clutches, how can I ruin his life to the fullest extent?" The question of whether a law has actually been broken never enters anyone's mind outside of the occasional jury nullification activist whose activities the state is earnestly trying to criminalize. If the system were not so hopelessly broken, they wouldn't STOP to ask the question " has any law actually been broken"... no, they would not stop because the entire process from start to finish would revolve around that question.

As with everything else that can possibly be considered a crime, it is useless to consider this as long as we live under a statutory law system. In a common law system which only respects individual people as interested parties, guidelines for fighting words would be established but would not be applied universally. Each individual case would be judged on its own merits. I think it is clear that in such a system there would definitely be some restriction on Free Speech. you would not be considered free to push people over the edge verbally.

How'd he come up with roughly 200 billion dollar bailout and pork spending on Obamacare lite? I just don't feel like reading through that whole Bill, I'm sorry, I just don't right now. I have a splitting headache and I'm just not motivated to do it right now. But I need to know ASAP. Please. If anybody's already done it, I mean. I need to sell his own Bill in the pronto elsewhere but I need a rough itemization of the pork and bailout loot in this one that just got canned.

Lets go with an easy one. Exercise. DAILY. Just not right before bed. Perhaps when you get home from work. Change the routine daily. One day walk or run, next day, yard work. Seriously, physically exerting yourself burns off a lot of that excess energy that probably keeps you up at night. When I was working at the TV station, it was not a very physical job, and the hours kept changing on me. I ended up so tired that I stopped sleeping altogether. I was never fully awake, and could not fully fall asleep. I went several days with no sleep, was driving in to work for a graveyard shift, fell asleep at the wheel, and woke up drifting towards a wall at about 3 mph on the freeway. I got to work, dropped off my keys, and said fuck you, I quit. The lack of sleep WOULD have killed me, and came very close to actually doing it. Point being that a regular sleep schedule on a shift that is compatible with your own personal circadian rhythm does wonders for actually getting quality sleep. And KRNV-TV Reno can kiss my fucking ass.

I have no misunderstandings of either lies perpetuated by govt, nor the actual unemployment statistics. And since it sounds like you think I am dreaming, lets also consider that under Obama, the legal definition of "Long Term Unemployed" was reduced from two years to one year in order to further manipulate those statistics. Smoke and mirrors with numbers. Just like our money system. Just like WMDs. Just like 911, Pearl Harbor, the sinking of the Lusatania, Gulf of Tonkin, Alchohol Prohibition, Greenbacks, nah, govt has NEVER EVER lied to us, we are just too dumb to understand any of it. As humans, it is possible for anyone to be duped and lied to. We are fallible. We make mistakes. The only mistake that I see is NOT that people do not understand either the employment statistical manipulations or even how money works, it IS that people hear what they want to hear because it validates their view of the world. If you really take a look around, not just at me, but the whole damn world, we are in very very deep shit, the boat sank, and we never even had a paddle. That is a reality that is so terrifying to grasp that people, my own family members included, do NOT want to see so they just go with any lies they are told. Reality is terrifying and is what will bite you in the ass if youre not prepared. R3v, I dont think you will personally benefit when the economy goes sideways and makes 2008 look like a walk in the park like I think Zippy will prosper from the suffering of others. Other points I do agree with, such as welfare / "discouraged workers". That makes sense, to a certain extent, and that is also quite scary. If the 102.6 million working age adults that are not included in the Workforce are mainly there because they've responded to the incentive to just go on welfare (reasonable exceptions from that 102.6 million like students or stay at home moms, etc) that is a terrifying prospect, and a perfect example of why both Socialism and Fiat Currencies always fail. It would be the embodiment of the Cloward Piven Strategy. At 102.6 million, thats roughly a 30% unemployment rate, which I also think sounds way way way too high. I'd estimate 15% to 18%, even right now. Even the difference between the U3 and U6 still shows a very large disagreement with their official and now just phoney sounding numbers. Things do appear to be better than they were. I see "Now Hiring" signs in many minimum wage jobs. So some progress has been made. Im just saying we have not really recovered from 2008 by a very wide margin. (Cloward Piven Strategy - Overload a nations social support structures to the point the system collapses from the burden on finances and resources)

You mean like you? No; the owner just won't fix up your place. I lived in a rent stabilized apartment. The carpet was getting thread bare, the paint was really old, the grout was coming up, etc. Owners also show each other's apartments and then charge a finder's fee to the new tenant. There are all kinds of ways around rent control/stabilization.
