Perhaps try digging around in a Printer / Scanner Driver... The Drivers used by a lot of the Document Scanners actually should have some sort of OCR built in as an added "feature". Best part is that they are usually free, or at least "trial" versions which at least temporarily can suit your needs.

Honestly, first, I would talk to them about it. Next, I'd try to come up with positive solutions. Help build a shelter, give a blanket, heater, whatever works that brings people together instead of pushing people apart. Anything beyond that only validates the reason for govt intrusion into all of our lives. Im really tempted to say "throw them to the wolves", but that would be much more reserved for those that actively torture their animals for amusement as opposed to neglect.

3 MAJOR REASONS WHY MORE PARENTS ARE BECOME SKEPTICAL ABOUT VACCINATING THEIR CHILDREN ARJUN WALIADECEMBER 15, 2017 More and more parents around the globe are choosing to opt out of vaccinating themselves and their children. As a result of this trend that’s been gaining more and more momentum, a harsh response has come from the “pro-vaccine” community -criticizing parents for their decision to not vaccinate. At the end of the day it’s not really about “pro-vaccination” or “anti-vaccination,” it’s not one “against” the other or about pointing fingers and judgement, it’s simply about looking at all of the information from a neutral standpoint. It’s about asking questions and communicating so people can make the best possible decisions for themselves and their children. Parents love their kids and the vaccine “controversy” has made it difficult for many parents to know what to do. The study concludes with the observation that “after repeated vaccine controversies in France, some vaccine hesitancy exists among French GPs, whose recommendation behaviours depend on their trust in authorities, their perception of the utility and risks of vaccines, and their comfort in explaining them.” As a result, the study outlines how “up to 43 % of GPs sometimes. or never, recommend at least one specific vaccine to their patients.”

I wonder who pays for the lines and servers in China and Russia? Probably the people I would imagine. We pay for these things as well. Things are getting just too complicated for me. I lived for many years without the internet or a cell phone. I don't think my life has gotten any better since they have been around. If things get too expensive or weird I guess people might start reading real books and news papers and sending letters to people in far away places again. If it gets too expensive certain people will stop buying it altogether then how will google and amazon be able to collect their data? I suppose I could continue doing so if the cost goes up so much that I refuse to pay it. I did help to set up one of the first telephone modems between two large computers in the 70's it was very interesting work and paid very well for the times.

Thousands of Interior Dept. Employees Report Harassment and Intimidation at WorkWASHINGTON — Thousands of the Interior Department’s employees reported that they had experienced harassment or intimidation at work, a department-wide survey conducted earlier this year and released Thursday found. Of the nearly 30,000 employees who reported on their experiences, about 35 percent said they felt some form of harassment and intimidation, often related to their age or gender. More than 85 percent of those employees said they had to continue to interact with the person responsible for the mistreatment. “This is a breach of public trust,” said Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke in an interview, adding that he had personally fired four people over accusations of harassment. “Harassment — intimidation — is a cancer that can destroy even the best organizations.” https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/14/us/politics/interior-department-harassment-zinke.html

I don't mind their being a free public internet I wish it were free. It seems like it should be free to all. Surely this is all about money and speed of the internet. The regulation is what makes it cost something. From what I understand other countries such as Russia and China have a faster and free internet. I would not doubt that they have stricter controls on what content they can view. But it is still faster. We in USA can see more content but our speeds are slowed down. Why can't we have both speed and freedom?

How Much Do You Really Know About Vaccine Safety? By Dr. Mercola The video above features a lecture by Del Bigtree,1 an Emmy award-winning producer of "The Doctors" talk show for six years, and one of the producers of the documentary "Vaxxed." I actually attended and saw the talk he gave during the 2017 "Truth About Cancer Live" event in Orlando, Florida, where I was also speaking. He focuses on vaccine safety and freedom of choice. This presentation was designed to be shared with those who think vaccine safety advocates are foolish and need to "get with the program." This is one of the best presentations I have seen that could have many rational and objective people change their views on vaccines, so feel free to widely share with those who are in favor of vaccines.

You asked what someone would do, so not sure if you're looking for any practical and immediate suggestions to address what is happening today for the dogs. I will try to give a practical reply, even though you probably have thought of practical solutions. Are the people open to any assistance? If so, then what about donating an old used blanket or two? You'd likely have to buy one, but the Goodwill store where I live sells really thick and clean blankets for $4.00. I once got two decent blankets for $1.00 each. You would not even have to tell them you bought it for them. Just pull it out of your car like you already had it. When the dog jumps in your arms, just wrap her up in it and put her back on the ground. Also, furniture stores often have a lot of old and really large cardboard boxes for disposal. You could cut a few boxes and layer each piece on the cold ground. It's not much, but that will, at least, help buffer the cold from the cement. If you want to go further, then stores like Home Depot sell some cheap, pressed wood sheets.

I don't know many stories but I am figuring out, layer by layer, the abject mess which is American Orthodoxy, and Russia is tied up in it. The Russian patriarchate is the only Orthodox body that evangelized America. There is very much a feeling as if America properly belongs under the Russian patriarch for that reason. When the Greeks showed up, they would band together and start a church for their own needs (brother TER, realize I'm just reporting, and would never throw rocks over this) but it was the Russians who saw America as an opportunity to make new Christians. And all was going fairly well - they made it from Alaska all the way down to California even. Then the revolution happened... but the attitude in the Russian church was, the churches in America were a lifeboat to keep specifically Russian Orthodoxy alive. I can understand why they did that - they probably thought Orthodoxy would become extinct in Russia. The communist state in Russia took control of the churches, and created an even weirder situation, because some groups in America still stayed loyal to the Russian church, and other groups didn't. I haven't researched what happened after the the wall came down nor how we got to where we are now. But I'll go ahead and give you what you're probably looking for.

Orthodoxy was never absolutely loyal to the Tsar or any other ruler. One needs only to consider that Orthodoxy exists globally to realize that. Now it is true that the Church in Russia was a bit too familiar with the Tsar. It's also true that the Church in Russia is too familiar with Putin today. I would go so far as to say the Church in Russia had an excellent learning opportunity on this point from 1917 to 1991 and chose not to avail itself of that opportunity. And I write that not only as an Orthodox Christian, but as one who is also under the Russian patriarch.

I agree with Todd. It is a witch hunt & there is no way for most guys to dispute a woman's claims. Yes, some of them probably are abusers but in today's world anything can be called sexual harassment & there is no fighting it. My bro was thrown in jail because of his "girlfriend's" claims that he abused her- he only escaped prison because she left her phone on when she was talking about her lies and that saved him. The police even told him, when they arrested him, that if a woman says you did it- YOU DID IT- they have to arrest you.

The resistance is a farce. It is made to seem bigger than it is, thanks to the fakestream media. Like the Antifa movement, courtesy of GS. Look at the map of the last election. And that was WITH broad range and far reaching voter fraud. And they still couldn’t win! Ensure fair elections, and don’t worry about ‘the resistance’. Expel the money from the outside globalist infiltrators (GS), and they are made impotent, and this illusion crumbles.

HAHA! I just saw your post in another thread (I was catching up on forum drama) about Mr A putting me on a leash. I don't think he would do that to me if he could. Even though he complains about my oversharing sometimes (not on the forum but IRL. I'm not good at filtering), he knows I'm a good girl and despite my outward personality, I'm a surprisingly solid and committed person underneath. We've been together since I was 23 (24 years/married 20), he knows everything - even stuff he'd rather not know.
